  1. BYOND Key: Superballs Character name: Jamie Knight Item name: elyran navy holotags Why is your character carrying said item to work?: As in real life, some military veterans choose to continue wearing the dogtags even after military service. Jamie is one of those servicemen who feel that their military service has made a significant impact on their lives and their way of thought. Along with this set, two duplicate sets exist, owned by two other individuals important to him. Item function(s): Similar to how a holobadge works, where it can be worn as a necklace or attached as an accessory. An extra verb on the dogtags called, "Retreive the fallen" that can separate one tag from the set, with a message showing all players: "[PERSON/USER] yanks apart the dogtags!" Using the tag back on the necklace with the other set resets this and makes it one item again, allowing for multiple instances of separating the tags as long as the two are together to do so, much like taking a dogtag in real life for body identification. The single tag separated from the necklace cannot be worn as a necklace or an accessory (duh). Item description: Dogtag set description - "A pair of standard issue holotags issued to all Elyran servicemen. The tags read, 'KNIGHT JAMES 627810021-EN O-NEG CATHOLIC'. Contains both analog and digital information on the serviceman. The digital information seems to be deactivated and non-functional." Single tag description - "A single tag of a set of holotags issued to all Elyran servicemen. The tag reads, 'KNIGHT JAMES 627810021-EN O-NEG CATHOLIC'. Contains both analog and digital information on the serviceman. The digital information seems to be deactivated and non-functional. It is missing it's other pair." Item appearance: A pair of futuristic looking dogtags. Download link: http://www.mediafire.com/file/8nygj1yfxw14x35/dogtags.dmi How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP?: These dogtags will be used to give a subtle hint towards Jamie's personal history and give reasons to his work ethic and professional career. As I would like to consider Jamie an Elyran patriot, the dogtags will strengthen and/or establish a bond with fellow Elyrans and military veterans. Additional comments: If the custom verb of yanking and separating the dogtags is too extensive and unecessary, I will be fine with having the item function similar to a holobadge.
  2. Well. In my experience with SHODAN and their character in question, there were definitely some flaws in the beginning when interacting with other crewmembers, but of course, given time SHODAN proves that they can show their willingness to criticism and changing their character and playstyle based off said criticism. (Por ejemplo, their feedback thread). After a few rounds and interacting with their character, I've had no issues personally with their communication and willingness to co-operate with other heads of staff, even going as far as to check and report on their own Security personnel breaking the law (which every Security department member should be doing). Although there's always some accounts of hearsay of a big mess-up that Sophie has done, only very rarely is it ever very critical to the station and it's crew. That being said, if their level of development and growth in terms of improving their character continues, I will go ahead and give this application a: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ +1 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  3. Type (e.g. Planet, Faction, System): Intelligence Agency Division Founding/Settlement Date (if applicable): 2452 Region of Space: Tau Ceti Controlled by (if not a faction): The Federal Republic of Biesel Other Snapshot information: Inspired by it's real life counterpart, the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency's, Special Activities Division. All of the field operatives portrayed in the last two antagonist contest come from this division of BIS. Long Description: The Special Observations Group (SOG) is a sub-group within the CAD that performs covert activities of political, psychological and economic nature. A majority of SOG operatives are nested within many different companies and nations, mostly to provide HUMINT to the Service. Along with HUMINT gathering, due to the Service's operations against NanoTrasen many operatives also provide some FININT to the intelligence pool as well. This includes most, if not all traitor-antagonists that have aligned with the BIS during the last two contests. The Direct Operations Group (DOG) is a sub-group within the CAD that is responsible for high-risk or covert military operations and direct-action missions on behalf of the Service. DOG operatives do not carry any items that can be linked back to the Republic (eg. Military uniforms, domestic weaponry, identification, etc.), and are commonly assigned protection (usually for SOG operatives) and direct-action missions. This means, most DOG operatives within the contest can be found in Mercenary and Pirate ships for high-risk operations against NanoTrasen on behalf of the Republic. Agents are commonly picked from many special operations forces and are not limited to military only. SOG and DOG operatives have some origins within many corporate security and emergency response teams, especially NanoTrasen's due to their extensive funding and intensive training. Due to the recent occupation by the rogue 33rd Alliance Fleet, many operatives are allowed to operate within Tau Ceti space, in tandem with the BIS FIB, or Federal Investigation. Examples of the CAD's operations include Operation Proud Sun and Red Sun from the 1st antagonist contest.
  4. Thanks. The reason why I got removed from the team last time was because of inactivity. Mostly because of personal life coming in the way, and when I got more free-time I decided to work on Fallout 13. I was asked from Master Skull if I was still active and can contribute, and I honestly answered, no. I couldn't develop for one server and sprite for both so I was removed. And here I am.

  6. I feel it's finally time to put my opinion on our resident Warden after multiple IC and OOC interactions. OOCly, Vile's definitely someone who takes the time to reflect and ask questions on actions they performed. Such as asking for feedback/apologies OOCly for their actions in game. A quality that no other player has shown to me. This is important as it exhibits their willingness to identify, acknowledge and (hopefully) correct their mistakes for the sake of improvement. Something for all current and prospective heads of staff should possess. ICああly and performance wise, I can't help but to be a bit nitpicky on some of their actions. Sometimes records would be left unattended to or arrest statuses unchanged or kept on incarcerated. While an excuse for this such as internet latency maybe valid, this should be confirmed by Vile themself. Aside from the negatives, Jane enforces beauracracy such as equipment releases and warrants whenever the situation reasonably allows for it and keeps record of it. Character and backstory wise, Jane is one of the first few people I've befriended with the secondary intent of evaluating them for Head of Staff candidacy, and in the short time that has elapsed, proves some merit and work of their backstory, but yet leaves more to be known after some gaps in conversation. (Whether this is intentional or stems from a lack of character development, personally draws me more to their character.) Apologies if this sounds too verbose or outright doesn't make any sense. It's 1 in the morning. tl;dr jane is a cool cat for hos +1 from me.
  7. Aboshebab is a cool cat. He already has an IPC whitelist which should show his grasp of lore with the species in Aurora lore. As for the Skrellian character itself, I enjoy the given backstory, and Abo's preference of more detail being revealed through character interaction. Plus Juan (+1)
  8. After multiple encounters with Zahra Karimi, I feel confident that Synnono deserves their Head Whitelist. As for the character who's to be whitelisted, it's quite interesting to see an application solely for being an Internal Affairs Agent rather than a Head of Staff position. On board Internal Affairs Agents are quite rare nowadays. +1
  9. Name: Ash LaCroix Gender: Male Image URL: Large ass picture fixed. Avatar Colour: Yellow or whatever is available Character's Catchphrase: "Yikes." Skills Strength: 4 Agility: 10 Endurance: 8 Survivalist Skill: 3 Luck: 1
  10. “Ash, you're like an older sister”. Aside from being a capable officer, Lance is a really fun person to RP with, from IC Politics, Relationships and even your good ol' drinking contest. (please never egg our characters on to drink whole bottles of absinthe ever again)
  11. BYOND Key: Superballs Character name: Ash LaCroix Item name: hand-me-down bomber jacket Why is your character carrying said item to work?: Memorial and sentimental reasons, this is the only physical memory of Ash's father besides the occasional photo along the tribute badge pinned to it. Item function(s): Same function as a regular bomber jacket with the zipping feature. Item description: A custom tailored bomber jacket that seems to have been through some action. A silver badge is pinned to it, along with a black and blue strip covering it halfway. The badge reads, "Christopher LaCroix, Special Agent, Mendell City, E.O.W. 10-7-38, 284" Item appearance: DL: https://www.dropbox.com/s/az8u3eyl28dal9w/bomber_jacket.dmi?dl=0 How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP?: The bomber jacket has and will be a door to discovering more about Ash's late father and in turn, how his death affected who he is today. Additional comments: Naw.
  12. Yo dis round was pumpin. (until I got destroyed by the ERT mecha of course.)
  13. Please post the pseudo science on Ash's hair, please. I beg of you...
  14. I recall writing a thread on suggesting that suspension field generators should be made via R&D like any other machine. As I said before I totally support having an extra field generator, or a spare.
