  1. distribute hyperzine to sec officers as combat stimpacks, problem solved!
  2. No worries about the delay Jackboot I plan to make this planet a background not only for my character but as a potential background to all players of this community. I would also be very happy to see it on the wiki. And speaking of feedback, I can use some, yes. Thank you for your consideration.
  3. Type (e.g. Planet, Faction, System): Planet and System Founding/Settlement Date (if applicable): 2449 CE Region of Space: Outer Fringe Controlled by (if not a faction): Officially Sol Alliance, but in reality it's largely anarchic with Nanotrasen law enforcers and PMCs being the only real presence of law there. Other Snapshot information: Located within the Odin System, Odin IV is the only habitable planet out of the 3 terrestrial planets in the system. The planet only has 2 cities; Hopes City and New Orchard City with the rest of the planet being a blanket of wilderness dotted with a several small towns and outpost here and there. The climate of the planet ranges from tundra to tropical. It is estimated that the planet has a total population of 6 million colonists. Hopes City is located in the temperate region of the planet and is home to 2.5 million citizens. New Orchard City is located in the tropical region of the planet and is home to 2 million citizens. The rest of the population diffused into the rural side of the planet. The crime rate is very high on the planet as criminal gangs violently fight for control over the cities, the orbit of the planet and even asteroids to carve a path for contraband smuggling into Sol. The planet is currently in a state of civil war; while not huge and significant, the civil war is rather complicated as it is participated by many rebel factions that fights one another if not Nanotrasen and Alliance law enforcement. Long Description: Colonized by hardy pioneers at 2449 CE, the planet of Odin IV is said to be home to over hundreds of rare wildlife native only to the planet, more than half of them are extremely deadly and hostile to the colonists. Archaeological studies also showed that the planet was once home to an ancient advanced alien civilization that was extinct thousand of years before Alliance colonization of the planet, leaving behind hundreds of ancient ruins waiting to be explored for artifacts and fossils. The only two cities on the planet; Hopes City and New Orchard City are officially under the control of Sol Alliance while in reality, Nanotrasen with monopoly over the cities' economics has a lot more influence over the planetary affairs. Nanotrasen also fill the role of law enforcement on behalf of Sol Alliance, but with the lack of Alliance supervision on the planet, the law enforcement tend to act in ethically questionable fashion when dealing with subversive elements. The cityscape of Hopes and New Orchard Cities teems with concrete spires and skyscrapers and also home to the majority of the planetary population, they serve as a perfect nesting ground for criminal gangs and Syndicate operations; Every single day, it is rare to not see a shootout between gangs and the law enforcement within the cities. The crime rate is so rampant in the cities that officials and corporate elites are often required to wear armored vest or coats if they ever plan to step out of their office, furthermore they are often required by law to be escorted by guards and transported in armored vehicle if they ever wish to travel in the city. Robbery, kidnappings and violent murders is a norm in the cities, the folks are used to seeing hanging mutilated corpses or beheaded bodies while on the way to work. The law enforcers are equally brutal, it is not rare to see public executions and people being kidnapped off the street by policemen for torture and interrogation. Matter in fact, corrupt law enforcement also run rampant with many officers working together with criminal syndicates for mutual gains. The crime related violence is not limited to the cities, sometimes it happens even on nearby asteroid belt mines as gang fights for control over asteroids for their illegal mining operations. Just like the Alliance; Nanotrasen has little to no control over what happens beyond the city borders, this is often taken advantage of by independent small businesses that wants to avoid being pushed over by the megacorporation, at the same time, they also get to conduct their business however they like without the laws being able to do much about it. Deaths in the wilderness of Odin IV mostly goes unreported due to the vastness of the wild and the lack of law coverage, making them ideal locations for murder and marooning. As of late 2458 CE, at least a handful of rebel factions popped up on the planet each with their own agenda; some are anti-Nanotrasen but pro-Alliance, some are the opposite while others simply yearn for independence. These rebel factions mostly gain the supports of rural folks that lives outside of the cities, they tend to launch guerrilla raids on government owned facilities outside of the cities but seldom launch raids on the cities themselves due to how the cities are marginally better defended. While the battles fought between rebels and Alliance-Nanotrasen security coalition on the planet are not as grand scaled or significant as other battles in the past, they do claim more than tens of thousand of lives with the majority being the lives of innocents.
  4. Recommend to play this music while reading: Breathing anxiously, A man in cuffs can be seen trying to back away from someone or something while begging. "Please no... Not like this! Please!" He staggered and fell but still continue to stare at whatever that frightens him while crawling away backward. Two men approaches him from whence he stared and held him down as a familiar man in labcoat squats down to administer a syringe of bubbling purple solution into the man's arm as he screams and cries out in fear rather than pain. After the syringe was empty, they all released him and stood back to watch; the man in cuffs started to convulse and his skin started to swell with green colored dots. After half a minute, the man's face reddens with extreme pain as he bites down hard and could barely open his eyes, he clawed on the ground from the agony as his breathing becomes rapid and short and after a few minutes of painful struggle he finally stopped breathing and moving. "And that is how the Hellbite venom works, colonel." Dr Ariff Ng stands beside the renounced and ruthless mercenary colonel Kruger Coatzee while being guarded by two armed mercenary guards from both sides. "Each giant tree spider packs enough hellbite venom to kill 10 space bears." Beside the dead prisoner, three more men in cuffs can be seen screaming and crying in fear, begging to be spared from the same fate. "Haha! Ja! This is what I'm to'kin about bru. So jou have to inject da venum into their bludsteam?" the colonel asked after having his sadistic side entertained, he speaks with South African accent. "Well they say that the venom is so volatile that they can get to work the moment they enter a fresh wound or your eyes,... mouth, you know what I mean. The local hunters here enjoyed dipping the tip of their arrows with the venom for hunting back then... but now it's banned for its cruel nature." the scientist explains. "Furthermore, if you were to mix the venom with other liquid... this odorless and smell-less venom will easily dissolve like sugar while still maintaining their deadly properties." The colonel gives him a nod or two before patting his back firmly. "Perfect, just what I need... they bluddy insurgents bru. Fokkin won't give op and I can't just go around shooting them... at least a drop or two of these into ze water supply and that oughta teach them!" Dr Ng simply responded with a half-hearted smirk and nod, uninterested with whatever military operations that the colonel intended to use the venom in. "I take one hondrad bottles, ja. How much per bottle again?" "Well... harvesting the venom requires a certain procedure that needs 4 to 5 years of training and intermediate chemistry and biology knowledge... so you got to understand why I'll have to charge you 800 creds per bottle." "800?! Nu nu... make that 500, tek it or leave it doc." bargained the colonel. "I tell jou what, I'll give you 10 replaceable soldiers eh? They will be under your command, Ja? And I'll pay eh...about 200 per bottles too." "Sounds like a deal." Dr Ng nodded. After the negotiation, the other prisoners that were meant to serve as backup in case the first test failed were shot and had their bodies dumped in a ditch together to be buried in an unmarked grave. The colonel handed Dr Ng a briefcase filled with credits as the rest of his men begin to pack up everything. "Ju smoke?" the colonel stuffs a cigarette between his lips and offers another to the scientist in which he shook his head in declination. "Doc, I am curious. What are jou planning to use those money for? And other than protection... what plan do you have for my men?" Exhaling in the cold night with a heavy sigh, the scientist looks at the colonel with a very serious expression. "Damn Synths, Vaurxa and those damned walkin' trees... I am alright with Tajara, Unathi and Skrells but them Synths, Vaurxa and walkin' trees... they simply have no business of being equal to us... now they let the Synths to be in the command positions in our workplace... simply unacceptable." "Mhm. So what are jou going to do about it?" the colonel glances to the scientist briefly then barked a few commands to his men as they're moving crates of venom onto their own ship. "No plans for now... everyone is supporting those species and I can't risk going to prison for the rest of my life for hate crimes yet... I'll just save up money for now and we'll see what happens next."
  5. To answer the questions. 1.) Yes, he does. He use the same ship that he bought using the profits of his own business to travel to Nanotrasen docks for transfer to his workstation. 2.) Dr Ng while not a trader like Firdaus is a good mentor and friend to him. Firdaus owed a lot of gratitude towards the man for helping him to leave his war torn home planet behind and for gifting him with a ship. They still do stay in touch and currently Ariff works for him from time to time now that Firdaus runs a legitimate business, however Firdaus got into his employment with NT by his own effort with Ariff only recommending him to the company for work. 3.)Firdaus is 27 years old as of 2459. 4.) He is a legal arms dealer on Odin IV, providing arms only to legitimate government soldiers over rebels and criminals. Thank you for your consideration, if there is any more question or suggestion. I am willing to answer and adapt. Maybe that's a little too short of an interaction to draw a conclusion from. I know and like Bob Oster but my character can't seem to really engage in any conversation with the busy man while I did received a few technical assistance from him a several time. The time when you got slapped with the forcegloves was probably the only time I intentionally went chucklefucking because I was so excited over my achievement of being able to research past combat research level 3 for the first time in my SS13 game ever. But that was no excuse, I'm really sorry about that but I just want you to understand that not all of my characters have the tendency of being that bad, plus as far as I am concerned; I don't have any bad records on the server even after being a regular for nearly a year. But then again, thanks for your feedback.

  7. BYOND Key: Ngdaniel96 Character Names: - Ariff Ng - Colten Flack - Mustafa El-Tahir Species you are applying to play: Tajara What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): White (M'sai) Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: I've figured that I wanted to play as something different than generic human crew that I tend to make, I have role-played many kinds of personality, ethnicity and background as human and I figure that I want to try my hands on playing as a Tajaran crewmember that speaks in a slightly broken Tau-Ceti basic. Another reason for this is because I made a little SS13 fiction of mine and one of the characters is a Tajara with lore based off Aurora's and I wish to play as the aforementioned character on the station. I should also mention that I never thought of playing as a Tajara until I observed Tajaran players on Aurora which I must say are good, and quite inspiring in a way. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Tajara can't wear gloves or shoes because of their claws and digitigrade limbs. Also, they can only wear hardsuits and helmets specially made for their Tajaran anatomy but softsuits such as a firesuit and biosuit is alright for them. A tajara does not speak in first person but instead speaks in third person, furthermore they tend to roll and extend their 'R' when speaking, for example; instead of saying "I am making an application for a new role in my favourite game, they would say "This one is making an application forrr a new rrrrole in his favourrrite game.". Just like human, Tajara has different ethnicity and languages, tajaran ethnicity are divided into the Hharar, Zhan-Khazan, Njarir’Akhran and the M’sai, as for their languages, some of their known unique languages are Siik'Maas, Siik'Tajr and Nal'rasan (Only available for M'sai). To expand further on languages, Siik'Maas is the federal language of the the People's Republic and is the prevalent language on Adhomai, it can be learned by human although not to perfection due to the lack of proper biology. Some of the vocabulary requires subtle body movements that can be a challenge for human to learn too. Meanwhile, Siik'Tajr is a younger language, designed as a language for revolutionary to use to avoid their communication from being heard and intercepted by law enforcement, it is the mixture of Siik'maas and the M'sai language of Nal'rasan which demands more body language. Unlike Siik'Maas, Siik'Tajr is commonly used as a second language due to its complexity specially for families that fought in the Great War. After the last revolution which resulted in the assassination of President Rhagrrhuzau Hadii who was the initial leader of the People's Republic, present day Adhomai is divided into three major factions; the People's Republic of Adhomai which is now under the leadership of Njadrasanukii Hadii, the Adhomai Liberation Army lead by Supreme Commander Halkiikir Na'ted'Akhanand who was Rhagrrhuzau Hadii's old friend and ally and the New Kingdom of Adhomai ruled by King Nazira Ka'rimah, all three of the factions are at war with each other. Character Name: Firdaus Al-Narabi Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Growing up on Trizar, Firdaus spent most of his childhood exploring and hunting around the mountains near his home with his father Rasul Al-Narabi, he picked up the basic survivalist and tracking skills from the experience. In fact, he spent so much time around the mountains that he knows some part of them like the back of his hand to the point where he adopted some caves and holes in the mountains as his camping ground or 'secondary home'. As time passes, the hunting and exploring routine with his father became more different with his father introducing new 'hunting grounds' or 'exploring site' to him where Firdaus will often find himself left alone by his father for an hour in the wilderness while his father goes away to 'take care of something', his curiosity led him to find out that his father has been using hunting and exploring as a facade for his secret rendezvous in the wilderness with rebels of the ALA to provide sensitive information such as PRA police and patrol route around the area. Being a child, Firdaus thought nothing of it, and understand that he doesn't have the power to intervene even if he wanted to that is until one day, in one of the illegal rendezvous; PRA soldiers laid ambush on their usual meeting ground and opened fire indiscriminately, killing a several of the ALA members and a few M'sai explorers in the area without knowing if they're innocent or not. Fortunately, Firdaus' father Rasul somewhat expected it from his instinct and was able to flee into the snow covered forest with his son seconds before the PRA army strike. Despite their early escape, the PRA army still gave chase. At that point, the father and son figured that heading back to their home will only risk the rest of the family and so instead, Firdaus lead his father to hide inside one of the many caves that Firdaus is familiar with; hiding in the deepest and darkest corner of the cave while narrowly avoiding the PRA search party. Never in his life has Firdaus felt so scared, hearing the radio chatters and the sound of jackboots walking near the hiding place of him and his father as PRA soldiers occasionally stopped by to check the caves. After hiding in a cramped position for almost 4 hours, PRA army finally left the area; allowing for Firdaus and his father to go home unscathed. But even though they survived that day, it still traumatized the father and son, furthermore, Rasul decided that that is the last time he will ever risk his life and his family to ever work with the rebels again. Meanwhile, Firdaus decided that Adhomai is too dangerous of a place for him to raise a family as his adulthood approaches and made it his life goal to escape the planet with his clan although a few years later, his father succumbs to an untimely death when he slipped and fell off a cliff while hunting on the mountains, Firdaus continues to hunt and explore alone on the mountain sometimes. At the age of 22, Firdaus started a business of selling camping rations and equipment to outsiders that wishes to explore or camp around the mountains but unfortunately, it did not last long because of the war and how the mountains is right next to a ALA territory. He kick started a new business of selling animal hides and carved bones a year later which led to him meeting with a human scientist Dr. Ariff Ng who was on the planet to explore potential archaeological site and entered Firdaus' store to inquire about the mountains. They became friends when Firdaus personally guided Dr. Ng around the mountains. Impressed by Firdaus skills as a tracker and hunter, Dr. Ng recruited Firdaus as his assistant which Firdaus sees as his ticket off the planet. After going to space for the first time on Dr. Ng's ship and working with him for 6 years exploring far away planets and civilization; Firdaus finally quit his job and started his new career as a travelling merchant after being given a ship of his own as a reward by Dr. Ng, using his ship as the warehouse and primary storefront, Firdaus would travel the galaxy selling all sort of goods including tools, weapons and convenience items. Using the money he earned from his business, Firdaus moved to a new, cheap and comfortable home on the frontier planet of Odin IV. The comfort there did not last long however when a civil war broke out on the planet as well. Although Firdaus still profits from the war by selling weapons and rations, the price of his stock increases as supply becomes increasingly rare with many trade embargoes being imposed on the planet. Firdaus since then took up a part-time job with Nanotrasen as a cargo staff to earn enough money to maintain his business and perhaps gather enough money to get off the war-ridden planet. What do you like about this character? This character comes a long way, having grown up as a hunter in rural area and indirectly witnessed the horror of tyranny and war on Adhomai, he has no sense of sentimentality and doesn't seem to mind leaving his home planet for somewhere better. In a way of saying, he is a rather selfish Tajara. With only self-comfort and wealth in mind, this character is an ideal opportunist and money grubber and I like the thought of being running scams and attempting to ransom some goods from cargo to crewmember on the station for extra money. How would you rate your role-playing ability? Uuuuuh, maybe a 5/10? I am bad with english evidently but I know how to stay in-character and stick to the lore provided. Notes: This is literally my first time applying for an alien species after 5 years of playing SS13. I really wanted to try something new and I do hope that the lore moderators here would give me a shot EDIT: I mispelled 'PRA' which stands for People Republic of Adhomai into 'PLA' a.k.a China , now I've fixed it.
  8. The Pathfinder, originally known as Kestrel Red Tail-Class Cruiser, was a light cruiser currently operated by the Nanotrasen scientist Ariff Ng. It was previously owned by a group of military deserters turned pirates but after they were killed in a toxin leak, the ship was salvaged by space scavengers and sold to the black market for the price of only 20,000 Thalers in which it was swiftly bought by Ariff Ng prior to his employment with Nanotrasen and the cruiser was later on heavily customized. The customization includes advanced modifications to boost the ship's speed, scanner and shield, plus a fast bluespace engine. Originally, Ariff bought the cruiser for his own team of scientists to assist him in his expedition to the frontier for research purpose, thus he added a research lab inside of the ship where it was originally a firing range. The expedition has brought the ship to at least 18 different systems and over 32 planets. After finding employment with Nanotrasen, Ariff would spend his off days to explore the frontier with his team while using his income to further upgrade and repair the ship. During their 25th expedition, after retrieving an extremely valuable artifact, Ariff was betrayed by his fellow scientists who confessed their disdain for him and how they wanted to sell the said artifact to the black market and keep the ship for themselves. They left the icy cold planet in which they found the artifact after marooning Ariff Ng with nothing more but a one day supply of ration and a gun with one bullet in its clip. Ariff would spend about 3 months on the planet, living a feral life of hunting the local faunas with spear and trap while keeping himself warm using animal hides until he was finally rescued by a trading ship that happens to stash contraband on one of the planet's many caves, he managed get their attention using huge bonfire. After his rescue, Ariff spent another 2 years tracking the Pathfinder while taking the job of a space drug manufacturer for a group of space smugglers to help him get extra fund to enact his vengeance. He later learns that his former team has turned into pirates and used the Pathfinder to attack trading vessels and steal cargo. He used the funds he gained from selling space drugs and the fund he earned from working on Aurora to rent himself a ship that can be described to be small, cheap but extremely fast. Tracking the raiding pattern of his former partners, he decided to tail random freighters that is heading to the trade route that is commonly raided by those pirates and sure enough, one fateful freighter took a missile to its cockpit and laser bursts into its hull, the sudden attack easily rendered the freighter immobile, sooner or later, the Pathfinder appeared and close in on to the freighter to board it, they fail to notice Ariff in the process and he quickly flew his extremely fast ship towards the Pathfinder before ejecting with military-grade space suit on. Boarding his rightful ship once again through the cargo holds, he intercepted a few of his back stabbing partners who were caught by surprise while looting cargo in which he promptly cauterized them with a few bursts of laser shots before confronting the mastermind behind the betrayal whom he dueled with for half an hour in a brawl before he finally finished him with a shot to the head using the same gun that he was marooned with. After regaining the ownership to the Pathfinder, Ariff would explore and go to expedition all by himself while operating the ship alone, unwilling to hire anyone as his crewmember until he fully trust them. Layout & Design The Pathfinder was modified by Ariff Ng to function better than it original state with an upgraded bluespace engine that allows the cruiser to travel at the top speed of 1,025 km/h. The ship is powered by both solar and phoron energy using the custom made power plant NG Core. The ship can project a thin energy shield around it with a built-in Mackemein Light Shield Projector, only strong enough to deflect light laser beams such as those from an energy gun but can not withstand anything more powerful than that. On logistic side, the ship has a cargo capacity of 100 metric tonne. The hull of the Pathfnder uses reinforced plasteel plating while its armament includes Star Stinger Rapid Laser Cannon which can fire extremely hot laser at the rate of 40 beams per minute assisted by the Samford Missile Pod which can fire the Mk.8 Phoron Missiles at the rate of 3 missiles per minute. The cruiser technically is meant to house only 4 crews but with improvisation it can house up to 12 crews, it also lacks escape vehicles with only two space pods stationed in the cargo hold that can only hold one person per pod but then again, with improvisation it can evacuate another 3-4 crew with it. Top Deck Contains anything that is lab related including an infirmary to treat any injured crew or to house rescued stranded ones, Ariff normally uses the top deck for research purpose where he tries to create biological weapons. The cryogenic chambers in the research lab are meant to house his research subjects rather than patients and sometimes he would use the operating table in the infirmary to cut open his test subjects. Middle Deck Contains a common room formerly for crewmembers to relax and socialize in, but now it's just a nap room for Ariff for he operates the ship all by himself. He keeps android there as well to given to him by an old friend to keep him accompanied. There's also a sleeper room for crewmember to sleep in though Ariff himself tend to avoid using it. The middle deck is where the cockpit is located, in the cockpit, one console provides navigation, sensor and interior control while the other console provides communication. There is also an armory, formerly used by the marines that were stationed on the ship and later on by the scientists turned pirates, the hardsuit and helmet model belongs to the military of the nation that produced the Kestrel Red-tail-Class Cruiser, the hardsuits were designed to withstand all kind of weathers and to allow boarding actions. In the corridor, Ariff bought and placed four civilian space suits for emergency purpose. Bottom Deck Contains the kitchen and the dining room, it was originally a military cafeteria but Ariff redesigned it to seem less militaristic and more home-like. There is also an old bluespace TV near the dining table for some good old TV dinner. The engine room and the gunner room is located in this level. In the gunner room, there is a loader to load the Mk.8 Phoron Missiles, the task to load the missiles is normally given to the hacked and modified engineering cyborg that can be seen in the cargo hold. The console in the gunner room provides weapon control, sensor and interior communication. On OOC note, the sprites used for the design was stolen from FTL:Faster Than Light (no shit right?) and Paradise Station's sourcecode.
  9. Prior to his employment with Nanotrasen, Dr Ariff Ng worked for earth based space mining and research company Extrastrata Industry which went bankrupt and dissolved at 2456 CE. Under the employment of Extrastrata Industry, Dr Ariff Ng was assigned to an expedition to the icy frontier planet of Angelon Prime which is about 315 light years away from Sol to uncover evidence of an alien artifact with classified property. Following a disastrous event of sudden war and anomalous reports, the expedition was stranded on the planet for about 1 month and 3 days while being surrounded by hostile human colonists, alien native, hungry local faunas and a classified threat. Upon rescue, Ariff Ng was found to be the only survivor of the 12 archaeologists in the expedition - he was found to be partially delusional and mentally unstable, some archaeologists were listed as M.I.A while the rest who were killed by unnatural means of death were buried mostly in shallow graves said for a few whose corpses was left out in the open, partially buried by snow. The rescue team that rescued Dr. Ariff were made of security team of Extrastrata Industry, they acquired a recorder device which they crowbarred out of Ariff's hand, the recorder device contains voice journal log recorded by Dr. Ariff Ng himself throughout the expedition. It was sent to Extrastrata Corporate Headquarter for investigation and upon listening to the log, Dr Ariff Ng was immediately terminated and most evidence of his affiliation with the company were purged. Extrastrata Industry refuse to release their reason for terminating Dr Ariff Ng. As for the recorder device, some members of the company decided to keep a transcript of the log as it may provide them with useful information should they attempt to send another expedition to Angelon Prime. The transcript goes as follow: Day 1: Doctor Ariff Ismail Ng, archeological expert of Extrastrata Industry. Day one on frontier planet Angelon Prime… a wasteland planet with nothing special but trees… miles of snow and hostile natives be them human or animal. I have been assigned to a team of twelve scientists, tasked to help find evidence of a classified alien artifact declassified only to us as some form of advanced device that the native alien inhabitants describe as an ancient converter… we have no idea what does it convert but for some reason, Extrastrata thought it’d be a good idea to send us scientists and wasting our talents on finding what might not even exist. They might as well send us here to find god. Anyway, I myself decided to bring this recorder along with me and log the expedition, my colleague back in the lab told me that it is a good practice, so here it is. Day 38: Day 38 on Angelon Prime, after visiting a several native settlements be them human colony or native aliens and after questioning them regarding this artifact, 80% of them responded with the same answer… that they don’t know, the rest however who are mostly drunk mentioned something about a region called Traasula before going back to drinking or passing out from drinking too much. Pete Hemsworth our research director managed to requisition a small ship for us capable of taking us anywhere around the planet within a few hours. About time I’d say, I’m getting blisters all over my feet from all the walking. Day 68: Day 68, it has been a week since we have travelled here, to Traasula Region. Fortunately, it’s only about 11,580 km away from the only beacon of civilization on this planet, our space port. Doctor Kyle Brody one of our fellow archeologists had a scuffle with another fellow archeologist Doctor Diana Lee over a warm plate of egg today… the weather is unforgiving here, it is extremely cold out here and Director Pete warned us to put on our insulated coat at all time whenever we are exiting our compact mobile accommodation unit, otherwise our blood will freeze within seconds. Meanwhile, Doctor Viktor Travinski with the help of his prospector bots have discovered a structure underneath the ice about a mile away from our campsite… this should be interesting. Day 102: Ahem… our 102th day on this expedition. With the help of miners from a nearby settlement, we have managed to fully unearth the structure that we have discovered on Day 68, it turns out to be a large pyramid similar to the ones found approximately a thousand years ago on Mexico, Earth… built by… what do you call those… *finger snapping noises*… Actez? Aztec that’s right. Our director Pete is contacting our headquarter regarding this discovery and asking for clearance to enter the said pyramid. In another news… my wife Lisa sent me a holo-message today, asking me when will I come home. I honestly don’t know, the company threatens to terminate us if we were to opt out of the expedition and sue us for breach of contract which we all carelessly signed. Day 125: This mo- Uh.. Day 125… This morning, Doctor Kyle was found dead after he fell through a layer of thin ice and getting brutally impaled by the ice spikes beneath. His head was the first one to be pierced by the sharp spikes that goes right through his skull to the other end of his head, his brain matter and blood decorates the said spike… It took us about 8 hours to remove every bits of him out of there. Following the company’s decision last week, we are to explore the pyramid about three days from now.... they told us that the expedition will go on despite Kyler's death. I must say, the event today makes me felt very hesitant to do some exploring in some darn alien pyramid. Day 128: Day 128, we entered the pyramid and was surprised by how the entire structure brightens up the moment we stepped foot into its entrance, our analysis tells us that this pyramid must be at least a million years old yet it is still functioning… certainly there must be a power source as we detect strong electromagnetic force activity within the pyramid. Also, Lisa sent another holo-message today, telling me that my son’s birthday is next week… I will certainly be unhappy for missing Isaac’s special day but he- they must understand that my work is what making sure that there’s food on the table… I hope they understand. Day 130: Day 130, I’m back in the campsite while Director Pete, Doctor Viktor, Doctor Kuresh and Doctor Helena goes in the continue exploring the vast pyramid. I know for sure that I am not going back in there… at least not without a few days of rest… I receive company from Doctor Diana and Doctor George who turns out to be graduates from the Lunar University of Science like myself, what a small world huh? I told them about what I saw while exploring the pyramid… the story of my encounter with piles after piles of skulls and ghostly whispers only made them laughs nervously at me, of course they don’t believe me, they refused to enter the pyramid too as they were too busy performing ‘external analysis’… what a pile of bull... excuse my language, but I know that they were just slacking off, listening to the radios while laying beside the bonfire… actually, I saw Doctor George, Doctor Pavlov and Doctor Willard wandering off into the mountains last night and return 3 hours later… what were they up to? Nobody takes a toilet break that long… this is certainly suspicious. Day 140: Day 140… an eventful day, Extrastrata Industry just had their assets on the planet seized by hostile human colonists… many outposts all over the planet had gone dark. Only the spaceport remains, and I hope that they wouldn’t lost the spaceport to these frontiermen scum otherwise we wouldn’t be able to leave the planet. Our ship is incapable of exiting the atmosphere. *loud screams in the background followed by some nervous chatters* Oh! And also, Director Pete and the regular team entered the pyramid again today and only Doctor Viktor and he returned, he mentioned that Doctor Kuresh and Doctor Helena awakened something in the pyramid which proceeds to attack everyone, the creature was said to have completely devoured Doctor Kuresh and rip Doctor Helena’s head and spine right out of her torso… it also clawed Pete’s left leg off clean… now he’s being treated by Doctor Pavlov and Doctor Diana. To make matter worse, the fellows from the nearby settlement that helped us to dig up the pyramid showed up today and proceeded to rob us, they broke our radio and siphoned the fuel of our ship, threatening to kill us if we were to stop them…. We are officially stranded. Doctor George takes command of the situation and suggest that we should stay put and await rescue as it is not safe for us to travel… especially with an injured Director Pete. Day 152: This is uh…. Day 151- I mean 152… I uh… Director Pete had passed away last night, not from his injury but rather by his own hand, he managed to crawl out of his bed in the middle of night and took the pistol that he had been hiding inside of his personal cabinet all along, he shot himself in the head. The sound of the gunshot managed to wake us all up, we all rushed to his compact mobile accommodation unit only to find his brain matter splattered all over the wall and his lifeless body laying still. Unlike Doctor Kyle, we were unable to transport his corpse back to the spaceport as we are stranded and so we gave him a proper burial. I personally crafted a cross for his grave using a shovel tied with a long light tube… this is smart if you ask me. Fights became more common between us recently due to food shortage and how we are only allowed to eat one meal per day… I miss my family dearly… and the chicken porridge that my wife often prepares. Day 158: Day 158. I hadn’t slept for over three days now… I can feel myself distancing away from the rest of the team. Oh, and Doctor Viktor Travinski… He… volunteered to go out and find help a few days ago against ou- against the warning of Doctor George and the remnants of the team. He took a few flares, compact heater and rations and snuck out to the wasteland while we’re all sleeping… But he’s back this morning... lifeless, he's being buried as we speak. Doctor George and Doctor Ian found him about 3 kilometers from the camp, poor fella had a tracker on him. They found him hanged from a tree, his supply completely looted… there was a sign around his broken neck, and it reads ‘I am a trespassing son of a whore’. Surprisingly, I felt no empathy for his death… I am simply glad that there’s one less mouth to feed in the camp. I went into Director Pete’s accommodation unit just now… and Doctor George, the fool, left ol’ Pete’s pistol neatly on his bed. With those savages out there trying to kill us, this pistol will sure come in handy. Day 165: So, day 165. A pack of angry local faunas resembling a mix of wolf and bird attacked our camp this morning, Doctor Willard was killed from an acid spit coming from one of the vile creatures which melted away his throat and ribcage and later on parts of his lungs and heart. Doctor Ian was clawed and pecked to death while Doctor Pavlov were dragged away as the pack retreats after I killed one of them using the pistol that I scavenged from Director Pete’s compact mobile accommodation unit. Doctor Steven however was lucky to be alive, he was injured though, his spine was broken and his left leg clawed off while both of his hands had been melted off by acids. Now only him, Doctor George, Doctor Diane and I remain… We buried the two doctors that died in our campsite, as for Doctor Pavlov, we hope that he didn’t suffer too much while being devoured. While Doctor George and Diane weeps… I don’t feel anything… but happiness as while they were wasting their tears, I have ransacked the dead doctors’ compact mobile accommodation unit and claim their rations, *crunching noises followed by chewing* Mmm! Doctor Ian has an entire box of Donkpockets under his bunk. Also, Doctor George… today he kept hiding himself inside of his accommodation unit… very suspicious if you ask me… He thinks that I am stupid doesn’t he? I know what’s going on… *chuckles* and I will find out. Day 170: Ehehe… *screaming noises in the background* Day… One Seven Zero. I have personally installed myself as the new leader of this expedition and accused Doctor George of collaborating with one of the many competitors of Extrastrata Industry… I don't know which... but it's clear... all these times of hiding and walking away from the camp... you fucking traitor. Dr George: Jesus fucking Christ Ariff! Are you out of your fucking mind?! L-Look… put the gun down… w-what’s with the recorder? Diane, calm down now…. Dr Diane: *weeping* No... god please, don't do this Ariff! Doctor George McShannon, you’re under arrest for treason… Dr George: Ariff No! STOP! God damn it… noooo! Your punishment is death… *two gunshots* Dr Diane: George! GEORGE?! Oh god… no… Please Ariff… you’re out of your mind… stop! Sympathetic towards a traitor eh Diane?! I knew you were no better than them. *another gunshot sound* Heh… I am so getting a raise out of this… I did the company a favor and rooted some traitors out of it… Day 172: Day… 172? Doctor Steven who is still severely injured but conscious figured out what I have done, the summary justice that I have performed. He called me insane and he is being really cute now, trashing out of his accommodation unit and trying to crawl away from me on the snow with his handless arms. *screaming noises* He just made his injury even worse now… You’re making it worse for yourself Steve! Dr Steve: G-Go fuck yourself, you crazy bastard! Why are you logging this?! I don’t know Steve… some said that it is a good practice, beside they can hear all about how I helped in killing traitors and putting a poor man like you out of his misery. Dr Steve: What? Wait… what’s with the cloth? Ariff… no, I don’t want to die yet please! *sigh followed by noises of snow crunching and shoving (possibly from Ariff crouching down)* It’s alright Steve… I’ll say a prayer for ya… and to think, all this is happening because of an artifact that the company is obsessed about huh? *chuckles* Welp, let us pray. *sound of gasp and a brief struggle before a muffled screaming was heard* Dear god, you probably don’t exist… but if you do… *muffled screaming becomes weak* take this soul into your divine hand and forgive ‘em of his sins… *muffled screaming becomes faint and slowly… there’s no more sound but Ariff’s sighs* Welp, don’t worry friend, I ain’t gonna bury you… but the snow will… heh. Day 180: Day 180… rescue have finally come, a few platoon of the corporate security forces have arrived, they’re outside of the camp and investigating my dead collegues and the dead traitors… I can finally return home… I can finally get the hell out of this god forsaken planet… Hey... stop! Let go! Rescue Operative: Sir! Calm down. We got you... we're here to rescue you! NO! NOOO! I MUST LOG THIS... Rescue Operative: Alright he's not right in the head, get the field physician... and get this darn recorder device out of his hand...! He... won't....nngh... let go! Get the darn crowbar! The transcript was never released to the public and its original copy was purged, only a few individuals possess the copy.
  10. Ariff here, so far from my experience with him. I'd say he's pretty chill and friendly, also considered as a good friend of my character.
  11. i like blue, it's professional and makes sec looks less like a McDonald's employee
  12. I might want to put something as a suggestion for the lore which involves a faction where the leader has a cult of personality for his ideology of uniting all races as one and mandates equality for all races with the downside being that his policy mandates the execution of high profile criminals and communists. When the faction was established, sizable clusters of each race would join the faction as their citizens but the leader desires loyalty thus he created the cult of personality, encouraging every members of his faction to remain loyal to him no matter what. However I don't think I know how likely it is for some people of each races to actually join his cult of personality and faction.
