  1. I appreciate the feedback. The AI core is getting resdesigned, I just threw that all together as a place holder for now.
  2. If I do this, it will be the exact same size as it currently is. I do not like to make super wide areas. I will also add a voidsuit to the server room. The fire closet is just gonna get shifted down to across the elevator, dw. I will fix this issue.
  3. This is being worked on right now. I should be finished by Sunday.
  4. Yeah, shell is going to be placed down there, just haven't done it. I am thinking of ways to avoid a delam killing the AI, but tbh, it's gonna be hard lol. Even if I left it where it is right now, the indra emp's it to death.
  5. Hello! This is a huge WIP still, but since I am touching SEVERAL areas and roles, I will start the feedback thread now. Everything you see here will be TENTATIVE and SUBJECT TO BEING CHANGED. Please do not ask about Telescience, Chem, Xeno Bot, Xeno Bio, or Xeno arch until I post photos of them. 4/11/2024 - RnD, Circuits, Server room, RD's office, a break area/mini library, meeting room. AI chamber, Cyborg/AI Shell spawn. This is still needing piping, disposals, and more decor - but here is the current working draft of the RnD and surrounding areas. AI - Cyborg Spawn - Please leave constructive feedback. Future plans - I intend on putting telescience where exploratory chemistry currently is. I intend on putting exploratory chemistry where telescience currently is. With the space from the meeting room being moved, and the storage room being replaced, I will be unifying a secure area for Xenobio/botany, and improving both labs heavily. 4-12-24 - Telescience, Weapons RnD, Exploratory Chemistry
  6. I am in favor of this, and will happily remap it again to make it fit the engineering look (decals).
  7. I am considering making xeno-biology and xeno-botany share a decontamination area, to provide more space and better layout for both. I hope to have a mock-up rough draft on the forums this evening.
  8. Hi, I will be handling this complaint. Please give me a bit to look through this. The mod also needs to respond to this.
  9. @Rabid Animal I will take all of this into consideration. However the only thing I probably will not implement is a larger xenobotany. I intend on remodeling it, but the area is already very large.
  10. Externally, Deck three. Some photos have been posted in the mapper coordination. It will be separated but a small Cyborg/AI shell area will be on deck one still. It will require an EVA walk to get to the AI core, which is possible to be done by Scientists, Engineers and command.
  11. I tried a lot of different setups, this was the best one I could find for now, until I move the AI.
  12. I attempted this but could not make it work very well. Machinists need a lot more space than scientists do when it comes to making mechs and working on stuff. Science only needs a decent amount of space for circuits. Everything else can be done in the testing range, as intended. The only part of RnD that I moved was the telescience lab, and it’s by the experimental range. Which fits more. It is also with Xenoarch where it’d be the most beneficial.
  13. I am in the process of mapping science to be more cohesive and a bit larger. There is no reason to revert several weeks of work. The community had a great amount of input, and there was several bits of feedback taken into consideration.
  14. I’ve read most of the thread. Goodness, what a hot topic. My view on big events is this - We are a server on a video game. Majority of players like to see big crazy elaborate events because it breaks up the monotony of our normal round to round formula. There’s a reason our player count spikes to 100+ during events. With that said, someone asked if seeing a “40 player turnout” is so bad. And frankly, I kinda think it is. Lore devs take a lot of time planning events and working on making sure things are going well and that an arc is engaging. So a low turnout means that (generally) people aren’t interested. So why keep going if people aren’t interested? I’ve ran a couple small canon events with lore and with CCIA. Out of all the ones I’ve done, the “Steel on the Horizon” was the most popular one. It featured combat, continuity between events, and some other elements that aren’t seen much. Most of the feedback was great for this. If you compare it to the Halloween and Christmas parties we threw, most players left by the 1 hour mark because not nearly as many people like to chair-rp. Hell, most people left the first Steel event because it wasn’t very engaging (as most first events in an arc are) Just keep that in mind. I am all for more small scale events, and I’m still not sure how I feel about specific recognition in events, but I’m willing to see how the things Matt brought up work.
