  1. yeah dude more useless shit, please can't get enough of it lately with pens making click noises and all can we also get clothes' hangers or drying machines?
  2. borgs are overpowered they take an obscene amount of hits to be disabled, and they have no pain so they can just move at full-speed while wounded they also never fall or get stunned their kits are also as OP as they are, especially medical and engineering so. the devs have decided to counter this by implementing a one-shot-kill weapon specifically for them and IPCs who are equally OP which is a shitty and cheap way of granting them a weakness, in my opinion anyways, the solution is to nerf Ion so that it damages synths, maybe make it a beam instead of a huge AoE thing also nerf borg kits because they are OP
  3. Standing still for 5 minutes doesn't sound like a good idea, maybe it works as long as they are within the line of sight of each other?
  4. The gimmicks would be weak Traitor rounds are great when people actually take advantage of character relations But I'd suggest that if someone rolls traitor, they should have A CHANCE of renaming re-modifying their character But, yeah
  5. pretty sure painting the floors falls under station modifications so if an engineer just grabs it and starts drawing a pink dick in medbay lobby, feel free to arrest them, unless the CE supports it iff the CE supports it, uh- sucks to suck, i guess
  6. Before anything, I liked the fact that you offered Coal(f) feedback on his stuff, I haven't done it myself, really. But I don't think I can count that as a huge plus on your application, but again, still, kudos to you. I didn't really understand this, really. Central Command sends announcements and faxes to the station pretty much every round. Do you mean the Agents? Well, they don't really visit the station either. They do hop on board to grab people for interviews, but... they don't really chill around, which I wish we could, at times, but that's the story for another thread. To address my next point I'm going to quote the answer to one of the questions entirely. So, sorry for double-quoting. It is a change of pace indeed, and well, playing as an IAA with slightly more power and slightly more regulations may be interesting to some people out there. But, what if you don't like the change of pace? You only ever really said that you want to join, because it sounds interesting, and it may change things for you. What if you try it and just don't like it? Would you simply quit, then? Personal focus in staff teams like CCIA is only detrimental. Most staff teams only work because people sacrifice their times so that things are in order. Look at Abo for god's sake, he lost so much hair answering tickets, or Syn, who practically did the entirety of CCIA work and more while people were dealing with their finals. Or Chada, who was pretty much the only active Wiki Team member before Burrito Justice (god bless their soul) showed up. If the team is not in your vision, that's bad news for the both of us. Another problem is, though, that I see your application has a lot of fluff in it. It practically refers to the text being lengthened by unnecessary information, or involving repeated points. Your first application was shorter, yes. But your answer to the "What's the role of a CCIAA in an ongoing round" pretty much proves my point. Quote is as follows, for reference: This is a paragraph, sure. But what it's saying could be summed up in two sentences. While CCIAA do tuck a lot of fluff into their faxes to make it sound more bureaucratic, I can't say that I appreciate the method being used in your application. Another thing here, and possibly my main argument, is that you're missing the point. You've described how CCIAA process Incident Reports, to a semi-correct extent, sure. But the entire point of the whole thing is to solve problems between crewmembers. You've never mentioned anything akin to that. You've said that CCIAA respond to the faxes of Heads of Staff, sure. But you again, we do it to answer queries about ongoing events, approve/disapprove actions, and receive paperwork. You've mentioned nothing of this in your application. My final point regards an Incident Report that was directed to your Warden character, pardon me I don't remember the name. I am not going to share the details, of course, but in the course of the entire Interview, I couldn't get you to say more than three words. All your answers were as short as they could be. It just felt like you didn't want to be there, really, which I can understand. Incident Reports are half an hour of chair RP, it's not for everyone, but- -when you're applying to be the person who conducts the IRs in question, it kind of is ironic. I can understand that you might've been in a mood that day, or I'd say you had to go, but you really didn't looc me anything, so it's hard to tell. Take this last one with a grain of salt. Also take this as a "your RP could improve". All in all, I have to say that I cannot support this application. You've missed the entire point of what we're doing, and solely explained the steps that we take. you think for yourself, and not the team, and your RP/responses could be much more longer and detailed. I suggest applying again, once you've looked deeper into CCIAA work, you can feel free to ping any member of the CCIA for your questions regarding procedures, or heck, even overall run-downs. You also may want to pay a little more attention into your RP, but I can say that you certainly are on the right track. -1
  7. First off, I do not want to be that guy, but I'd like to point out the responses you've received to your moderator application, which you made on the 27th of May. The link can be found here: https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=11244 It'd be wise to give this a gander before continuing on. I am willing to disregard most of your first application, as it was older than the second, but the second one was made on the May 27th, that's about a month and 12 days from the date I'm typing this. I do not believe too much that you can pull the "I've learned a lot from it" card, considering that the responses you received were about the bwoinks you've had. If you'd "learn from it", you'd have learned from it at the times of your confrontations/bwoinks. The second thing that I see in your application is an abundance of grammatical errors, as well as typos. As the entire job of CCIA is communication, both IC and OOC, this is a lot less than acceptable, really. You should pay more attention to them, it's one of the major problems in your application. Apart from that, I find the "If this application ends up being denied, I will use this feedback to improve myself even more." part rather cute, but your mod application being denied, and your second mod application being somewhat lacking like this one gives me a sort of vibe that's telling me that you're applying to become a CCIA because you've been denied by the moderator team, and that you're trying out the other option. Hey, I might be wrong, but CCIA and Moderation teams have a lot more to them than pretty Discord/in-game colours and verbs. CCIAA are not really lite-moderators. Some might argue that we are just that, but I digress. They're two entirely different branches of staff. Apart from that, RP is pretty crucial to being CCIA. Incident Reports and whatnot must be conducted seriously. I don't really believe that in your current state, you can carry out a successful interview, or type a fax in return to something obscene, akin to: Either way, in its current state, and in yours, I cannot really support this application. I suggest that you take a short break from applying to staff positions for a short while, and change the views about you in-game. Sorry if I am being a bit too blunt. Have a nice one. -1
  8. Slipping on gibs makes Changeling a joke.
  9. ERT has 2 people on a good day, this’d reduce it to zero.
  10. You know how people can sometimes do CPR accidentally when grabbing, or examining bodies, right? I've done it before, at least And I'd hate to actually break someone's fucking chest with it
  11. It is becoming kind of obvious that this thread is more begotten from frustration than anything because I am starting to having to repeat myself CCIA does have ways of obtaining valid knowledge, much like how a real case would work in internal affairs, really If testimonies match, we've a high likelihood of a fact if they have no correlation, the opposite, and we also have ways of clearing those we can either call people in for secondary interviews, or check radio logs, as those aren't really meta-information if there is a case where there is lack of evidence, it will be stated, and as far as I'm concerned, none of your cases had actions taken despite a lack of information And I'm not really sure you've justified why the consequences your characters have suffered should just fly away, as there was solid evidence that proved their guilt, from what the CCIA was given People lie in CCIA interviews, people lie IRL to courts, you don't see courts checking the attack logs of life to see if baldy mcbaldo did attack crafty bill, not much more we can do spare checking radio logs and AI feedbacks from camera feeds Wrong. There actually is plenty of evidence that make one side's testimony more credible than the other's, much like how real investigation works, if one has lied before, their credibility drops significantly And how do we determine lies without meta-knowledge, you ask? Matching testimonies, giving weight to the witnesses', but it doesn't stop there Once we suspect a lie, we don't just call someone out on it, we tend to press them with it, and that's usually where it falls apart And it's not like assailants in reports don't get the chance to defend themselves If an accusation is made on their person, CCIA are pretty much obliged to hear their defense about it I do appreciate the effort, though. My job'd be much easier if I could base it on chat logs
