  1. I'm personally in full support of this application because Seniorscore has been such a joy in the Roleplay discord, and I have 100% confidence in his capabilities both ICly and OOCly. If I could, I'd give this guy a high five every day simply because he deserves it for not only the work he's done for Aurora, but for being straight-out funkalicious. He's a smart boy; clever, thoughtful, willing to do what has to be done by him to get the job done, and simply amazing when he sets himself out to do anything. Also, after knowing Senior for quite a lengthy period of time (over three years now,) without really being his friend, I can safely say that any belligerence that is seen here is in the eye of the readers. He has a shall we say, 'flavorful' way of speaking, much like any admirable man raised among the commoners. He harbors no hatred nor ill will for anyone, and indeed, simply wishes to live his life as a man of peace and nothing more except as a member of Command - which, once again, he is vehemently overqualified to do. So please, stop accusing him of being belligerent, hostile, or rude. He isn't. He simply talks different than you or I.
  2. Hey, sorry for any delay but I've been really busy as of late. I'll be sure to slam out the edits as requested in a day or two. (24/25) Again, apologies.
  3. Ah, thanks for your input. I won't quote anything directly because I don't want to add unnecessarily bloat, but I'll keep what you've said in mind and edit as necessary after I've had my 12 hours of sleep and coffee. The twin-spirits and other-kin was a light punch at the whole, "Unathi believe men can be born with womens souls and vice versa" for the majority of the population and what not, but if that offends someone then I apologize and I'll remove it. Just a failed attempt at lighthearted banter, I suppose. Big Edit: Also if you want an example of other Unathi/Lizardmen characters I've played on other servers, I'm more than willing to provide a few character descriptions and a brief summation of their personalities and histories to provide a more conclusive example of my sincerity. In DMs, of course - I don't wish to bloat up the thread more than necessary.
  4. I've been playing on Aurora specifically for a four or five weeks now. SS13 in general, I have been playing for years. It's actually the first time I've ever had to make a white list application though, which I suspect leads to it feeling shitposty. Sorry. Also not to complain or anything, but the Unathi lore is a little scattered on the wiki, so I apologize if I missed anything glaringly obvious that makes this unacceptable.
  5. I've left it as a spoiler just in case you wanted to review any changes made. Late Edit: Clearing up typos. It's a little awkward writing things here. BYOND Key: Notwoyk Character Names: Corbin Riker, Jack Miller, Leon “I Know’s a Guy Who Know’s a Guy” Giuseppe, Mondaedaedae the Vox Raider (On other, oft ignored servers but I did, reference their existences a few times and think its worth mentioning at least a little bit), and Garfield. Species you are applying to play: Unathi What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Dark Green. Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: More than once. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: I for one enjoy the both the mechanical benefits of being an Unathi in general. They are robust melee combatants - who should typically be played as such unless they're a woman or something equally bad. They are also powerhouses in the kitchen with the ability to eat various raw and/or poisoned meats. Namely however, they possess a mechanic where sprinting makes the typical Unathi a beast to be reckoned with. While one traditionally may use this power for, say, running in wordlessly as security and hitting people with a baton until they stop resisting (they never do) or stop moving, I believe that it can be used for much more than being a stereotypical man-beater, and believe this reflects poorly on the race as a whole. The roleplay can happen and it can be good. It just requires real effort. Also I enjoy lissssssping plus disrespectin' women wherever they may be found. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: If humanity is vanilla ice cream, then Unathi are those radical ice cream popsicles that you always want to get, but begrudgingly admit wasn't anywhere quite as good as the thickly stacked chocolate coated vanilla dip cones that still oozed that ooey gooey goodness. That’s the Skrell by the way. also, if you were wondering, the ant people are those weird flavors you don't really wanna try but sometimes feel tempted to just to say, "Hey, I've consumed cucumber flavored snow cones." No, no. You see, the Sinta’Unathi are a challenge to play. A challenge that we have all seen failed to be played properly over and over again. We've seen numerous Unathi players go entire rounds without disrespecting, (or at the bare minimum, disregarding) women. At the absolute most, the typical Unathi player will ask them for their fathers personal communicator numbers on the oft chance that they would find something worth pursuing in the name of their genetic lineage. Admittedly, I as a lizard fetishist would suffer no such hardships. Additionally, they believe in - as I too believe in - strict monogamous relationships for the sole purpose of baring young. Unless you're a mainstream Unathi who balances love, lust, and duty. Typically, I would disregard anything but duty, because the ever affable [Final Prophet Born of the Purifying Flames] Aizahi taught us the real path for redemption - which my first Unathi character would (admittedly on the down low) worship. Though he’ll probably get along with Jack McJacko, but that;s for different reasons and not really applicable in this case. Additionally, I’ve personally failed to see many Unathi honor the martial traditions that envelop their society. The first great Unathi we know, Kazani Guwandi, was not only ripped. He was FUCKING ripped. Pretty much every Unathi philosopher, poet, tragedian, and so on would have been, because they were all adult male citizens under the current empire and either fought in the army, or trained to fight in the army. These lizards worked out EVERY day. They worked out so much they actually liked working out. Unathi lived to work out. Their entire leisure time was composed of working out and being unable to get over how hot their bods were in the balmy Moghesian sun. It is understandable that modern unathi - coming from a post-nuclear society of wayward survivors and fleeing Moghes in droves to the safety and comfort of space - or to live on some formerly-skrell owned planet would be unable to comprehend the sheer manliness of typical Moghesian Unathi. Any time I’ve seen an Unathi handling a taser instead of manhandling someone they’ve gotta beat up in the name of honor, I shake my head in shame, knowing that these false Sinta’Unathi are a stain on the true Sons of Moghes. Character Name:I still haven't quite yet finalized the name, but I've got three so far that I'm willing to use. Of course, we all still know that names matter not, as all the current Unathi souls are bein' reborn into new bodies with new names. For now, it is H'lass Khazara. Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs I haven't edited this any outside of plugging a name in. They are an average coloured (Green) scaled Sinta’Unathi hailing from Moghes herself, and has been tasked with managing the stored goods of a minor village of incredibly inconsequential nature. Before the war, of course - he was tasked from his superiors in the local mercantile guilds to sign manifests and maintain records of transactions and stock before sending off the villages extremely meager trade goods - a task performed with gusto and glee. Consequently he has the telltale sign of a scribe. Which is the deep red finger paint upon his Sinta’Unathian equivalent of an index finger. Thankfully, given his meager (for an Unathi) muscle mass, and relatively unimpressive height (6’2), his childhood and subsequent tutelage was full of relative safety - a luxury not afforded to many Unathi who had unfortunately been clubbed upon the head many times. As for what drives him to space… Well, it isn’t any grand quest or a need for adventure, that’s for sure. He simply fled the dying world of Moghes at the first opportune moment - confident in the knowledge that no matter how far he may flee, his soul would inevitably be dragged screaming back to the planet and reborn in another vessel unless he earns redemption. In regards to the newly encountered aliens - all of those weird aliens are the same to him. Which is to say, they were weird xenos with weird cultures, who generally should be kept… Roughly at tails length until they prove themselves to act with and maintain a bare minimum of honor in all things. Given his scribe-ish nature and upbringing, I had naturally penned him to be a perfect fit for a corporate reporter role, or perhaps a librarian, penning his own works in time. Or just being a cargo/quartermaster like a bitch and makin’ people pay for goods and services. Also he still paints his nails as a bit of a memento of his past. What do you like about this character? I like that it is a big lizard. I also like being sociable enough to disrespect women without being too abrasive, be generally nice towards other manly men, and maybe on occasion be slightly nice towards the 'fairer' sex. Plus I still enjoy how Unathi Scribes are generally embarrassed by the fact that human women paint their nails to be cute. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I would rate myself to be (as the kids say) quite choice when it comes to the written word. I originally wrote a joke here but upon reflection, I feel it may have been a little too obvious - comparing myself to the famous Chuck Tingle. Anyways, all that matters is that I'm fairly competent as a roleplayer.
