Due to the recent decline in the quality of our security players and by request I am posting my "Guide to Security" here aswell:

General Security:
* Trying to interact with the normal crew outside of arrests is overrated. They are just sheeple and you are there to protect them from the bad guys.
* Someone is aiming a gun at you ? - Quick Draw is the answer. Duck under that bullet and fire back
* When in doubt, always aim your gun at someone. - If they move, talk or throw something they are guilty, so make sure to leave those settings enabled.
* If there is a hostage situation, always shoot the hostage taker. They cant harm the hostage if they are dead.
* If you started shooting at someone, continue shooting until they are dead. A dead suspect cant tell their side of the story.
* Never take into account what promoted someone to do something. The regulations are the regulations and there is no way around it.
* If a suspect wont talk, just prod them a few times with your baton. It will loosen them up a bit.
* Flashes are useless nowadays. Turn on your baton and whack them over the head. It will curb their enthusiasm quite a bit.
* A durand equipped with a laser canon is threatening to shoot if you if dont release the prisoner you are pulling through the hallways. - Just run and let the prisoner take the hits that connect.
* If in doubt: Deploy the Stun Baton
* If you see a shark swimming in the water: Get your stun baton and try to hit it repeatedly
* Antagonists corner you while you are dragging along a prisoner. No problem. Just use the prisoner as a human shield.

Detective:
* You have a lethal ballistic weapon. - It must be maintained by regularly shooting it. Preferably by performing arrests yourself.
* Someone got murdered and medical wants the body - Not before you performed a autopsy, finished the investigation and briged the suspect. They are dead anyway, so what´s the hurry.
* If you want to perform a undercover investigation, just put your ID in your backpack and put on a gas mask - Nobody will suspect a thing
* A breakin is reported - Lead the way and see if you can catch the suspect red-handed yourself.
* Your gun is only for self defense, so remember to scream: "They are coming right for me" before discharging it.
* Do not trust or coordinate with the forensic tech. Grab their kit and get the prints and fibers yourself. Would be a shame if that "forensic science" webinar you attended 3 years ago didn't get put to good use

Head of Security:
* You are the law.
* If command holds a vote that would force you to do something inconvenient, arrest them for mutiny.
* Someone wants to appeal a charge? - Never question your officers judgement
* You have armory access for a reason. Stock up on those guns at roundstart. You can never have enough guns on you in case you need them.

Warden:
* Never give the prisoner their headset and PDA. They might use them to break out of their cell.
* If the brig is venting, dont bother getting the prisoners out of there. They are safe in their cells.
* When in doubt: Solitary. Its safer for everyone.
* There is an incident somewhere on the station ? - Get some weapons from the armory and head there. The brig can manage itself.
