Regarding Server Connectivity Issues & Downtime

So, in the past week and a bit, the connection pipeline to our server has crashed twice. This is, unfortunately, not something we can do much about directly, as it's the hosting service provider's hardware that's failing. Namely, one of their network switches keeps requiring a restart. And they do not have have any redundancies in place for this specific switch, nor do they have a second one ready to go. They've been aware of the issue since around September, and still have no firm date as to when the replacement will be installed/acquired.

All in all, this means that you may experience connection issues over the coming few weeks.

In light of this annoyance, and a few other issues, myself and the Head Admins have been slowly planning to switch to a new hosting service. Right now, it's planned to be done somewhere around Christmas, before the exam session proper starts. So, stay tuned for that! Otherwise, we apologize for the downtime and the inconvenience these outages can cause, but there's very little we can do about them right meow.
