Uniform Regulation Update

NT Regulatory Notice #580319.002

Uniform Regulation Update

From the desk of CCIA Administrator Jonathan Rase

There have been various complaints regarding crewmembers walking around half-naked, with their jumpsuits rolled down and revealing bare chests, or bras. We are disappointed to hear that what's supposed to be a professional work environment is being sullied by personnel that are violating uniform safety regulations, and bordering on sexual harassment by revealing parts of their bodies other crewmembers do not want to see. As a result, on March 15, 2458, we have enacted a new uniform regulation:

All persons aboard any and all NanoTrasen vessels, employed, contracted, visitor, or otherwise, must not roll down their jumpsuits, or must keep their shirts on if their department does not utilize or require jumpsuits. The following job roles and/or departments require jumpsuits:

  • Engineering. Jumpsuits cannot be rolled down due to safety regulations. Any persons whom are injured by machinery or equipment due to loose-hanging clothing will not be covered under NanoTrasen insurance policies.
  • Medical. Jumpsuits OR Scrubs are required if you are handling and treating patients, chemicals, or viruses. Failure to wear proper, sterilized clothing may result in malpractice (Neglect of Duty under corporate infractions, possible manslaughter) charges. Jumpsuits must make you easily identifiable as a member of the medical department. Colored labcoats are fine under regulation, as long as they are kept clean.
  • Research. Jumpsuits are required if you are handling chemicals, plasma, xenobiology, xenoarchaelogy, or xenobotany. Robotics and R&D equipment hold the same uniform requirements as engineering. Other roles may substitute scrubs if preferred. Colored labcoats are fine under regulation, as long as they are kept clean.
  • Security. Jumpsuit uniforms must be worn at all times to make you easily identifiable as a member of the security department.

Certain exceptions exist for certain conditions:

  • Tajaran crewmembers. Due to their fur, and repeatedly stated concerns of physical health, Tajaran crewmembers will hold an exception to the jumpsuit regulation. However, they must wear a tshirt, tanktop, or otherwise unrevealing undershirt. Tajaran personnel in the medical department, or that are handling chemicals, plasma, xenobiology, xenoarchaelogy, or xenobotany do not fall under this exception and are recommended to wear light-weight scrubs. Tajaran personnel in the engineering department, Robotics, or R&D will not be covered by NanoTrasen insurance policies if they are injured due to loose-hanging clothing.
  • Personnel utilizing the holodeck's beach or desert simulations will be allowed to wear appropriate clothing for such simulations (Bathing suits, lighter clothing, etc), but must return to standard uniforms once their holodeck break has ended.

Corporate Employment Legislation Change

NT Regulatory Notice #580324.001

Corporate Employment Legislation

From the desk of CCIA Administrator Jonathan Rase

As per recently passed legislation in Tau Ceti, it has now been made illegal to be an employee of NanoTrasen and any other company deemed a 'Mega Corporation' at the same time. These 'Mega Corporations' include, but are not limited to:

  • Hephaestus Industries
  • Idris Incorporated
  • Zeng-Hu Pharmaceuticals
  • Einstein Engines
  • And other Mega Corporations as defined by new legislation

All NanoTrasen personnel whom presently are in violation of this law at the time of passing will be placed under administrative leave pending employee review and a decision from the employee on whether they will maintain employment with NanoTrasen and resign from the other company, or resign from both. The deadline for this decision will be 2 weeks from enactment of this legislation - April 6th, 2458 - In order to keep in line with this new law. Said employees will also be required to sign a new Non-Disclosure Agreement upon deciding to maintain employment with NanoTrasen.

Any persons found to be in violation of this legislation after the deadline can face criminal charges, and termination of employment. Employees who also work for independent entities that are sponsored by NanoTrasen, but not any of the 'Mega Corporations' as defined above, will not be affected by this legislation or regulation change. Additionally, as per the new legislation, it is also unlawful to be employed by any 'Mega Corporations' if you were formerly a NanoTrasen employee.

Employee Newsletter #02

Important Disclosure

As a new CCIA initiative, I will be producing a monthly newsletter with various fluff and actual IC information. Due to the nature of these newsletters and possible sensitive information contained within, the Administration in lieu with CCIA will punish those that try to metagame with these. You should know the following:

1. The clearance system is simple. If your character is employed by X department, it has X clearance. All Heads of Staff have universal clearance, except in the rare circumstance in which there is a // Captain Clearance // section. Internal Affairs also have universal clearance. Telling someone something outside of their clearance level, can be punished by CCIA. Using knowledge outside of your clearance level without being told ICly, can result in administrative action for metagaming.

2. Incident Reports and Appeals that are declassified are suggested to myself by fellow CCIAAs relating to cases they've handled, if I get no suggestions I choose at random. If you leak incident report information, expect to get punished severely.

3. ICly, this newsletter and notice board are run by Central Command Internal Affairs Administrator Amnesty Lund, if you wish to contact me ICly regarding it, address the message to her. OOCly, just contact me if you have any issues, requests, etc etc.

Miranda's Minute

A Message from the CEO

"NanoTrasen appreciates the hard work and continued, exclusive service of all of its employees. After observing our fine staff firsthand aboard the NSS Exodus, I can say with certainty that NanoTrasen really is like a family. A family I am proud to be a part of as it grows.

It is with great pleasure that I'd like to announce that a new site is currently under construction in the Tau Ceti system. This has been in the works for some time, but our expansion and development teams assure me that operations within the system's many asteroid fields will rise exponentially once several minor wellness concerns are smoothed over. After a few tweaks to its life support systems and atmospherics fail-safes, our new base will be far safer and more profitable than any currently operating stations." - Miranda Trasen, Chief Executive Officer of NanoTrasen Corporate Conglomerate

Vaurcae Promotion Stipulations Modified

Recent regulation changes now mandate that Vaurcae personnel seek out their Head of Staff or Captain during standard operations with the new Corporate Form "NCF-0114 Avowal of Responsibility". Vaurcae personnel are responsible for the initiative to seek out promotion if they feel they are qualified.

Heads of Staff are to familiarize themselves with this new Corporate Form as the regulations are already in effect.

Completed forms are to be sent to the Central Command Internal Affairs Bureau and will be saved and reviewed.

Head of Staff personnel are not obligated to promote a prospective Vaurcae employee under any circumstance, and should take great care and deliberation in evaluating the reliability and skill of the personnel in question. As outlined in NCF-0114, Heads of Staff in question are personally held responsible for the Vaurcae employee should this promotion reflect poorly on NanoTrasen's image or production.
