Why is your character carrying said item to work? A laser retractor obviously isn't a real surgical tool, it's a hazing test on new Doctors/Residents/Surgeons to make sure they know their stuff. Tristen likes to keep this 'laser retractor' on hand in case any new residents are having a hard time. It also has some sentimental value to him - it's the turning point from where he became a 'real' resident by passing his hazing from the CMO.

Item function(s): Identical to a normal retractor.

Item description: The fabled laser retractor - it's a horrible amalgamation of a laser pointer, a retractor, and lots of tape.

How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? Now when a newbie to medical gets told to find a laser retractor, I can hide it somewhere and send them off on a treasure hunt, or just sneak them it when no one's looking.

Additional comments: I'd love if this item was available to others as well, whether by appearing randomly somewhere in maintenance, or as a gag item through merchant contacts.

Playing as Mack Gregg and going around the station looking for a laser retractor (even getting the quartermaster involved and being laughed at by Lilly in science) make for a really fun RP experience, 10/10 would recommend new medical residents get pranked again
