  1. Thanks a bunch. I updated the application a bit in an attempt to fix what you pointed out. I don't think I've ever really played Ludmilla on the server, so tweaking won't ruin any immersions(I don't think). I made them when I was bored a while back and have saved them for CE(just now getting around to the app, lazy me!)
  2. BYOND key: McTash Character names: Ludmilla Walker; Kara Fea; Kolgrotz(Cyborg) How long have you been playing on Aurora?: I recently came back to SS13 after taking a few month break. Before the break I played a couple times on Aurora and it is now the main server I play on. If I had to give my best estimate I'd give around a week or two total time on the server. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I enjoy playing the head roles in the departments I feel I play the best in. Being a head of staff also opens up even more RP opportunities. Why did you come to Aurora?: The heavy RP of course! There's not many hRP servers left. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yes, I have read over all the head roles, even the ones I don't plan on playing that much. I think I've read over most of that silly wiki anyway. Been playing for a long time. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: RP should be about giving a more immersive feeling to a game. It should be about the characters, not just the players, forming relationships to help create that immersive feeling while playing the game. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: To work as a manager of sorts. Just like in the real world a manager must coordinate their staff and do their share of work at the same time. So a head of staff in game should act the same. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: Their responsibilities are to follow the rules to the T, not walking the blurred gray line and poking the loop holes to get away with things, and to other players they should play fair as a head of staff. [sorry if I rambled. That question threw me off. Didn't quite understand it!] Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Ludmilla Walker Character age: 36 [i may be off a few years, but I believe I'm in the ballpark. Apologies] Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Ludmilla Walker was born to a poor family on Earth on August 1st, 2429. From a young age she was fascinated with the art of engineering and construction. She would sit and watch construction crews repair the neighboring slums for hours on end, and when she was of age(18) she joined up with them, traveling all over the city and helping with the repairs as much as she could with her limited knowledge. Since the company was small, each person had to be well rounded and be able to perform multitudes of tasks on the job, so Ludmilla didn't think she fit well within the company without proper training.. After working for the construction crew for a few short months, she decided to enroll to an Engineering Acadamy. Ludmilla passed the courses in about the middle of her class. Ludmilla, fresh out of the academy, found work with Hephaestus Industries, aboard one of the Orbital Superfactories in the maintenance department. After some time, Ludmilla was transferred to the NT Station, Exodus, as a Station Engineer and Atmospheric Technician. What do you like about this character?: Her personality! Always tries to have fun. What do you dislike about this character?: Tempter shortens slightly when stress levels rise, but not dangerously short. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: Knows her way around Engineering. Multiple engine types and configurations, adept in all forms of construction(wiring, piping[probably falls under atmos] wall attachments [fire alarms, APCs etc.]), as well as ample knowledge in atmospherics. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: I'm okay. Not a pro, but not awful either. I try to RP to the best of my abilities and as best I can in the current situation. Extra notes: I am god awful at filling these out and answering the questions. Let me know if revision is needed and I'll do my best to fix them!
  3. Ckey/BYOND Username: McTash Position Being Applied For (coder, mapper, spriter): Mapper Past Experiences/Knowledge: Mapped for several months on The Arch Angels (not the 40k one. One of the other 4 TAAs) Examples of Past Work: https://gyazo.com/924556f57a8afac55ff51d22885325a0 Arrivals, all shuttles that can be launched from CCIA are just to the south. Not pictured because it'd only look like space and airlocks unless I turned area markers on. https://gyazo.com/31889a9962a3ffddbf434a73e53b0d24 Dormitories. https://gyazo.com/563f8061b1ebf557182018111196e667 Escapes https://gyazo.com/8102d6bd9b53afc02ef9140dcbb0d53a Engineering Preferred Mode of Communication (Skype, Steam, etc.): Skype, Discord is fine as well. Additional Comments: I have yet to fully figure out shuttles. Rotating them and aligning airlocks is fine, but making new or syncing airlock controllers is a different story. Also, more examples of my work (but not pictured) included fixing the other mappers mistakes, (we had volunteer mappers where i used to be) like setting airlock IDs correctly, correcting misplaced area markers, setting security camera ID and tag for location and department.
