  1. BYOND Key: Captain cardgage Character Names: Xander Sloan, Richard Ulery, Anthony Zion and Tyler Deufrane. Species you are applying to play: Industrial frame IPC What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): N/A Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Honestly, I've been a huge fan of the machine race. Along with variety types, seeing new types rolling in has brought my full attention. Though playing a human has their perks. But enjoying to use these to create a whole slew of new scenarios. that at times I couldn't do at all as a human. Such as having new personality types I can go with as them.Feeling that i can interact with a whole new field that normally I wouldn't be able to interact with as a human. Why do you wish to play this specific race: As said above, I. Love. being. a. Machine. I'm a nerd for science, space and so forth and getting a diversity and difference of machine races on here. I just want to play and see them go into work. though they have downsides that's what gives them a fun play style for. Given both buffs and nerfs. Preventing them to become overpowered but now as a diverse group when compaired to the other types. Though now having a greater weakness than other races, EMPs. Though they can nearly kill machine races I don't mind, yeah it might be a buzzkill at times but they fit their purpose for whoever is trying to counter us or others. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Being a industrial machine allows to create a whole slew of new scenarios. Not only stronger, albeit slower but capable of a better defensive or industrial work unit. So scenarios such as a after shock of explosions, poison or other such cased events. Industrial Frames can handle that abuse and push forward. Along with now a worrying problem. Shortened battery life so now I have to keep a close eye on my frames power without bleeding it dry to stop a person. Character Name: Shockwave Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Shockwave, an Industrial frame built along side the Baseline and Shell brands of IPCs being sent out of Hephaestus Industries facilities in Sol Gov space. being outfitted with plasteel for a chassis, along with a increased cooling unit to prevent itself from overheating. Sent to space stations everywhere, Shockwave was activated, and sent towards the NanoTrasen corporation for work either as a Engineer or security unit. Upon arriving to NanoTrasen stations, being given a new occupation and purpose. Work as a security officer, to defend the crew from anything posing a threat. Upon confirmation of the change in status and occupation. Shockwave was sent back into a ship to be relocated. The ship was cluttered with other IPCs all designated differently. Some baselines as chefs or librarians, Industrial frames being sent as default engineering usage. Others designated for EMT work, Shells scattered few between in their human like appearance. Each one being sent for different occupations. from miners to bartenders. The shuttle was inbound to its first station where Shockwave and a small few would be moving towards. The NSS Aurora as their names flicked onto the screen, showing who are all leaving. Upon docking to the station Shockwave and a few baseline frames step out of the shuttle before it begins its un-docking procedure. Shockwave approaching towards its new division of work that its been reprogrammed for, security. What do you like about this character? Being a industrial Frame Shockwave was intended for heavy labor or security purposes. which would fit well in a scenario where speed is not the best option or answer to a problem. How would you rate your role-playing ability? Numerical wise i'd say its a good 8/10. I can get intense as needed to it but grammar and other knit picks of mistakes also come into play. Notes: I will admit I kinda suck at these apps as i sometimes just can't put a good wording on what I want to talk about on certain topics when typing. That and having to back step to fix typos.
  2. BYOND key: Captain cardgage Character names: Tyler Deufrane, Xander Sloan, Richard Ulery How long have you been playing on Aurora?: About a week now, maybe more. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I'm more of a fan on being part of security but not in direct interaction. such as similar to the detective role i like doing just a sit down and talk. give me and other parties a chance to increase roleplay. Why did you come to Aurora?: Well considering Aurora is one if not the only serve I've found that engages the idea of a roleplay perspective. Not instances where Paradise has the option but it's more of a time kill scenario. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yes, however the role i'm interested in personally is Internal Affairs. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay, in my perspective is the activity where you or others play as the designated action of the character. Where you are this character, living their day to day. Reacting in a way if you were put into the same. Roleplay itself should be a activity where you or the others are allowed to engage in. Having your character with ups and downs, disabilities or enhancements. allowing you or others to shape the way you all want it to be. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: They are basically the boss of that department (Excluding captain, who oversees about all of them). Ensuring each player of their department is doing their share of work needing to be done but to also keep them from falling into a disarray of confusion. The head of staff are to be the go to for the trainees or newcomers of the department itself as they're the icon that they've worked long enough to fill that position. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: Whitelisted players are the ones who've shown that they're eligible to take on a role or race. They are usually as said earlier, the ones newer players seek to get additional information both icly or oocly on jobs. However, may not recieve as much leniency when compared to others as they should know what they are to do of their job. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Tyler Deufrane Character age: 28 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Tyler Deufrane, a christian at the age of 20, had originated from the Sol system. Having been there nearly his entire life living as a citizen of the Sol Alliance, living off as a Journalist for a rather more obscure news outlet on Earth. Tyler, wanting to be more Right faced for news. Instead of pitting things out directly at the police or the inhabitants of the area. Wanting to show both sides of the story, to keep the ideal sign that police aren't corrupt or may have done a bad operation. Or that one man doesn't show the entire area is a crime-infested lot and should be avoided. Though this wasn't always in line considering areas or certain stations did show blatant signs or care of their actions. Finding ways to help counter this and re-enforce the trust of his work, decided to take time and enter courses to understand the Law and other regulations. Spending the next 8 years to understand Law, illegal operations of police officers and company regulations. Deufrane had gotten tired of he had on Earth. wanting to explore the outer sides of space, Having no plan to do anything considering he was leaving the only job he's had for over five years. Spent day after day checking articles and digital sources for any openings, hoping that he might find work with payment but still explore the depths of space and beyond. Now at the age of 28, uncovering a job opening for NanoTrasen had signed an Application form of his past work and skills to join as a crew member of one of NanoTrasen Stations... Finally gotten a response back, his Application was accepted and he was due to take a shuttle inbound for the NSS Exodus, working as a Journalist to update news and/or library. Taking the idle time he had there to update himself with NanoTrasen's law and operation procedures of his department. What do you like about this character?: Tyler Deufrane is a well versed, educated man. seeking to solve problems or situations through though and diplomacy than action. What do you dislike about this character?: As said he is a person of diplomacy. Disliking any form of violence, tending to avoid it any means possible. This also includes the fact he isn't at all with and combat training. So most fights tend to sway to the opponents side than his own. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: For a internal affairs agent I believe he would do well working as one to keep departments organized or preventing them from causing a act which would violate NT Law or operations procedure. That and he's been on the side, not wanting to be used as a priority in situations but to also stay away from the thought of obscurity. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: In a numerical form i'd say 8/10. I love roleplay especially intense where my role is what i'm intended for. However i have a tendancy to make grammatical errors at intervals so i might have to use looc at times as my mind went blank from typing a word and made it look like a word scramble itself.
