I won't be home (Visiting family) until the morning of the 25th, so could it be til the 27th so I have time to post, play and rewrite that backstory including everything. (hopefully that will clearly define things for the server to easily judge.) if I may ask, what leaves you on the fence? Is it still the initial vagueness of the backstory? And if I need to take a couple weeks of rp and development on the server, I am completely fine with that too.

Hey, apologies if my typing is poorly formatted, on a phone while away from my pc, thanks again for the feedback, I will do my best to address the things in order you bring them up. I agree the last part of the back story needs work, I didn't want to fall out of format by overwriting and possibly be rejected. But I digress, I have played on other servers with their very own story of what dionaea are, and how plasma and other things are explained and I am doing my best to ensure I don't mistake what exists in other places for what exists in Aurora station. Depending on its existence, I'd actually like to include blues pace crystals as what he discovered, which is what it originally was before I thought to myself "what if there isn't bluespace crystals in the world???" but I agree, phoron is better suited should there be no bs crystals, I did not add it as I did not want to determine anything (such as the presence in plasma in an area other than the Romanovich cloud in the outer reaches of tau ceti) that was not Canon in lore for me to decide. As for the second question, the event I assume you mean is the white flash and pale light, that (if I can operate under the premise that bs crystals exist, and behave as I understand them to) event was actually meant to be one of the pirates fiddling with the crystals in the wall during his drunken revel on the asteroid and actually causing a chain reaction which teleported the ship, the section of the asteroid they were on, and all the crew to NT controlled space near tau ceti. During the jump with so many individual crystals acting on the same matter, it caused a LOT of radiation to be given to everyone who was teleported, hence everyone being dead but stars torn, who was incapacitated by the trip but not killed like the others I didn't want stars to know exactly what the flash was, or even that he teleported... As to him having never left the asteroid in his short life since he came out of his pod, he was seemingly in the same space he always was I can write this out and give a final finished draft depending upon bs crystals and all that (I just don't wanna write something out for it to not be correct) Third, yes most of the info I got was from Aurora documents and pages, there was no other definitive pages or wiki's I could point you towards, but a lot of it is my experience in game and from past experiences of role-playing a dionaea on different servers... Although I had to fill in some blanks with this experience, like is naming based on solely experiences? or could a dionaea separated from its native culture/hive mind, having drank the blood as a nymph and learned an entirely different culture to its own, adopt a different style name, I played this one safe and went with what I knew. (Stars torn is a pretty cool name that I won't be changing) I love story building, almost as much as I love dionaea and if you could give me pointers on how to improve my Roleplay and stories, I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: Dionaea have always been my favorite race in ss13, I have always been a huge fan of the slow and strong archetype in many games and dionaea are a perfect fit for it. Not only that, but Dionaea so different, yet so similar and well balanced in ss13 with their immense strength/regeneration having one glaring flaw; burns. Dionaea are also so versatile in their ability to withstand 3 of the most present dangers in space, Pressure Temperature and Oxygen and during an emergency where other crew are helpless to assist, like a hull rupture, a dionaea can step in and save others and bring them to safety while a human would suffer the same fate without a space suit, which is not always available. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: As a dionaea during roleplaying, people treat you much differently than other non-humans, space racism is another thing unique to other races as dionaea's nature makes them very welcoming, almost naive to different races and curious about them instead of fearing.Another thing to note is as a dionaea you are able to have different priorities than the other beings on the ship, like when the power goes out, while seeking light sources is something many others do, the dionaea are unique in that they would prioritize it above all else in order to preserve their own being. In addition, Dionaea being very intelligent beings tend to stick with what they know and are capable of, and stay out of others businesses for the most part. Character Name: Stars torn Against the night Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Stars Torn as some of the NSS Aurora Crew have taken to calling him, "grew up" on a small remote mining astroid in the year 2444 and was used as slave labor for the pirates who had tricked him into "helping" them excavate the ores from the hostile environment the raiders were profiting off of. During that time he grew accustomed to a pick and shovel and learned how to fend off the monsters who regularly attacked him while mining. Not only did stars have to fend off monsters, quite often the pirates, very upset at the poor results they were recieving, would get drunk and use him as a punching bag, unable to strike back out of fear of worse, more permanent punishment, this continued. One day after months of mining and coming back empty handed Stars struck figurative and literal gold with a massive vein that was worth hundreds of thousands of credits, but would take upwards of years to completely mine out alone, The pirates were ecstatic at this discovery but took it upon themselves to take all the credit for its discovery and foolishly sell the location of this large gold vein to a local private mining group for a quick payout rather than making a much larger profit. Before the sale could take place, the pirates were having one last celebration before they got their payout and parted ways to retire, and with a flash the entire asteroid was bathed in a pale white light and a thundering ringing echoed throughout...Stars torn blacked out He woke to a jolt, where was he? how much time had passed? when he turned towards where his captors were just moments ago, they were on the floor,,,still and in the distance he saw it, a large NT Cruiser with spotlights pointed right at him. They landed and explained that there was a large energy signature coming from this location that lasted only a moment and asked if Stars would like to come with them to explain his story, and later offer him a job on one of their stations as an employee for his experience in mining. What do you like about this character? I like that this character is very independent, which is reflective of my personality as well as my playstyle in ss13 and also that he Has a very versatile upbringing which can be organically developed into whatever choices he makes as time goes on, but with his past in mining he will likely start there and with his aptitude for sciences, move onto xenoarcheology, and then scientist afterwards. I also like that there is enough ambiguity about his past that should anyone want to incorporate themselves into knowing me, they could do so easily and I would be a very easy character to roleplay with. Permanently banned Reason for Appeal: I would like to first apologize for my actions, It was immature and the admin who handled it was very respectful even though I was not and I do regret my actions as they have caused more grief than it was ever worth and caused a negative first impression. I would like to say first, what happened was largely due to peer pressure looking back on it, all of the people were on yogstation teamspeak and trying to rope people into joining the stupid raid for a few laughs and I foolishly took part in it. The things ive been told about this server, the environment and the content on the wiki seen seem much better than other servers I played on including yogs, I would simply like to take part in the server as intended and get to enjoy it with everyone.
