Why do you wish to play this specific race:Tajara is my main character on the other servers. I'll admit, I've 'snowflaked' up his bio a bit, but I find my roleplay style well suits it. While I'm okay playing humans, having played space station 13 since Android Data owned it, I've gotten... bored, of just role playing a typical human. I just find it much more exciting to be another species.
Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: I find that as a 'cat' I can get away with doing things, such as being silly, or lazing about. While humans are generally seen as more 'stable' elements, cats are rather random and unpredictable. This can make playing a trickster role, or a mysterious role ,a lot easier roleplay wise, since the species is kind of built for it.

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

A'lyx Lemire is a unique Tajara, in that he didn't come from Adhomai. He was actually born of Terra. Born in a rather unusual forest, A'lyx is a Chesire breed of Tajara, purple with pink stripes, and glowing yellow eyes. Nothing is known about his parents or lineage, as his earliest memories were of terrorizing humans who had invaded his forest. Having lived in the forest most of his life, living off eating small critters and playing tricks on humans, it wasn't until a science team wandered in the woods to analyze the strange readings, that he was captured, at age 9.
Being brought to a lab, most of his personality was tamed right away. While retaining some of his trickster ways, he was taught civility and educated intensely, as a project to see if a 'feral' Tajara could be integrated into society. As A'lyx was quick to pick up on things, he was quick to learn. A long 6 years later, he was given a choice on what profession he would take, wanting him to become a productive member of society. A'lyx had always found the medical team dealing with him to be most interesting, as whenever he had hurt himself, he was healed almost right away. Thinking that to be the most noble profession, he decided to choose doctor. 2 years of medical study later, he was released, and assigned to a post, to be observed as he interacted with society.
What do you like about this character?
Everything. A'lyx is years and years of fine tuning a space station 13 character. Having gone through the different races, and picked and thought over, A'lyx Lemrie is the closest thing I can come to being truly happy wit ha character.
How would you rate your role-playing ability?
It really depends. I've been role playing since 2006, back on Byond Table Top gaming. Having drifted from that, to the free form role plays of Brood Star Tavern Remake, Morning Star Inn, and World of Empires, I have quite the bit of byond role playing experience. I transitioned to Space Station 13 in 2007, when I realized how fun sprite based role play, rather then text based could be. I've been on and off role playing since
