  2. Ill get on it, I'm just gonna edit it directly if that's fine. It might take a bit, ill start it now, but I'm gonna be multi-tasking. Thanks!
  3. BYOND Key: BruhMan69 Character Names: Eno Meril, George Forn, and Julius Carme (I used to play this guy the most) Species you are applying to play: IPC What color do you plan on making your first alien character: IPCs exempt Have you read our lore sections page on this species?: Yes Why do you wish to play this specific race: I find IPCs to be a very interesting race, plus Ive always enjoyed playing robots in games so it probably has to do with that. I also find it interesting how they are only capable of retaining how to do one or two jobs due to their computer memory limitations. I also enjoy how they have their own personalities and are both human and robot like, like how they try to act like humans and such. The factions also seem to be really interesting, id like to eventually make a character who is part of the Golden Deep. And lastly I just really enjoy their background and how they are kind of new tech(I think it was early 2400s so still kind of new). Identify what makes roleplaying this species different than roleplaying a Human: Well first off being a robot clearly, this allows for some more diverse personalities, like how they could acquire their own peculiar speech habits, which humans could too I guess but with IPCs its more varied if you understand. I also find it interesting how they are in some cases forced to work in places that are dangerous, instead of humans since they are less valued than them. Also they have varied ways they deal with "self preservation" like how it said some may try to gain wealth, and another may run away to an occupation it wasnt made for. I enjoy how they think very rationally with the cause and effect mind set and are rarely irrational, and are very analytical. This really makes them seem machine like, which i enjoy. I also like how they are widely discriminated against and not thought of as "living" even though they can think and have emotions. I also think the adopting accent thing is good due to the fact it helps make every IPC more unique.. Character Name: Screw Please provide a short backstory for this character: Screw is a Baseline IPC with a classic tv head. Screw was bought by nanotrasen and it serves as a Cargo Technician. Screw is quite young, they are 3 years old. Screw is working to pay off its debt to nanotrasen so it may become free and do what it wants. Its skills include object management, sorting, and delivery. It was originally owned by a small company known as Clines Delivery Services, where it would drive small vehicles and deliver things around the city, it was based in Los Angeles on Earth. But 2 months ago it was sold to nanotrasen with some other IPCs that are now employed there. Screw is enjoying the atmosphere of the new job in space, they wish to make many friends up here. Screw had primarily IPC friends in Sol, they were treated harshly in comparison to the humans, they lived in cheap small slightly larger than closet sized apartments. Screw has enjoyed the (mostly) friendlier humans and other species he has encountered in the workplace. Screw currently lives in district Eleven in Mendell City. It has a larger apartment than it did previously, although it still is small, at least it has more than one room. Their friend Arp, an IPC, moved with it and Screw supports Arp and lets him live in his home, although he is encouraging Arp to get a job. His home is not in the best condition although it is livable and protects from the elements. Luckily for Screw the rent is quite inexpensive. Screw is enjoying Biesel more than Sol due to the better living quarters and less discrimination. In their three years Screw has learned a few things that are outside of its programming, it had developed a liking of photography, music, and even picked up on some fighting skills due to living in the shittier parts of Earth and Mendell City. Screw has had the misfortune of witnessing murder, which it does not enjoy, and tries to avoid death. Screw wishes to make friends because it thinks that the humans it works with are less discriminatory against it than the ones it is used to being around. So generally speaking, Screw is enjoying life more now than it was for the past 3 or so years, due to friendlier people and bigger housing(although still small). Screw will talk in a format like this {Emotion: Statement} an example being {Questioning: What do you require?}, or {Worried: Put the gun down.}. What do you like about this character? I think it would be very fun to try to learn new things as screw and speak in the odd way above. Plus I intend to keep track of the money Screw makes so i can eventually pay off my debt and approach the captain or HoP about it. Plus I havent played very much cargo tech and think it could be a lot of fun, also Ive always enjoyed IPCs as a whole and think they would be a lot of fun to play. How would you rate your roleplaying ability? Probably 5 to 8ish, Im better when I know most of the lore, so like as an example I play ttrpgs a lot and I read entire books to learn about the backgrounds and stuff. Its slightly harder on a wiki in my opinion, I still enjoy reading random things I stumble upon though Notes: Shells are cool but I dont personally think I would find them fun to play, so I probably wont, just a side note.
  4. Ok, ill check it out, thanks
  5. Okie dokie, ill work on some example projects soon, i guess ill start making osme example spells a wizard could use cause that could be cool i guess, maybe an animal or something as well
  6. Ckey/BYOND Username: BruhMan69 Discord Name: JerryTheWorldEater#1655 Position Being Applied For: Spriter Past Experiences/Knowledge: normally just screw around in asesprite. Examples of Past Work: I'm kind of new at this, most of the stuff I make is just in my free time and I don't save much of it unless I like it, so I mean.. I have a purple clown if you wanna see that lol Additional Comments: last year I tried getting into coding but I wasn't very good, so if someone is up to teach me some of the basics I'm up to doing that too. if you need more just let me know, i understand not getting applied to to lack of knowledge and such. thanks!
  7. Pretty simple just painting tool, like the ones mechs have. that about it, just a hexadecimal color wheel maybe, just kinda thought that would be cool.
  8. okie dokie ill get on that as a start scraptown is in District 14 of Mendell City, in a place called the scrapheap. He was stored because they were mass produced. He was created in mendell city. He just kinda found his way to scraptown after he was in his chassis His baseline chassis was given to him by the Sol alliance, he would later go onto the aurora to pay it off (unsure if this would work if not let me know) Before he would go to pay his debt to the sol alliance on the aurora they had him do some basic combat training for the purpose of (to be determined) the way the get to the aurora is a mystery to me, is it a shuttle i guess? im not really sure.
  9. BYOND Key: Bruhman69 Character Names: Julius Carme tends to be the one I play, he is a lab assistant that tends to be making at least 1 laser gun per game, then security says they don't want anymore and he gets sad. Species you are applying to play: IPC What color do you plan on making your first alien character: IPC's are exempt Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: I find them interesting, and the ones i have encountered while playing all also seem cool. I also enjoy the variety of how they can look, such as the baseline tv-heads and even the shells. It is also interesting that they are almost always viewed as lower class citizens, as well as in some cases being considered vandalism if you hurt one. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Well first off, they are robots which is cool. Secondly They tend to be specialized to their own job, i guess humans are too in most cases, but still. They have a pretty cool history and I like multiple things about it. Character Name: Red Please provide a short backstory for this character (Approximately two paragraphs)It was created 18 years ago, but has been in storage for 15 years, and has only recently gotten Its Baseline chassis, and has been created to cook, and grow plants, but does also know how to xenobotany as well. It's chassis was produced in scraptown a few years back, and it has lived in scraptown, trying to get plants to grow more effectively in the environment of scraptown. Recently they were admitted to the Aurora where they would work as a chef, xenobotanist, and normal botanist. They have also gained a small amount of training in cqc for protection being as It lived in the ghetto. It enjoys learning about other cultures as well as Plants. It Prefers to stay away from conflict and prefers to resolve most things peacefully, but if needed it will try and protect itself using its mediocre cqc. It will be assigned to either chef/botanist, or xenobotany. What do you like about this character? They would have a speech pattern like this, "Curious, What is that" so they would state their emotion then the following thing. Also i like that they would either be a chef, botanist or xenobotanist. Notes: i used to play a reasonable amount of bay but got banned for as an antag mistakenly blowing up the engine through multiple z levels. it was sad.
