I can't exactly remember the circumstances exactly of the whole "asking to do surgery as security." I do remember a mass casualty event in the medbay where I think I asked if the doctors needed any help in which they told me they did not. As for the previous bans, the only ban I remember is a permanent ban that I received when I first started playing SS13 and didn't know anything, where I cut some wires as a maintenance bot like back in 2019. As well as an antag ban I think, which I can't remember what the reason was.. I think I've improved as a roleplayer a lot on SS13 in particular, as I've been playing on Polaris but I'd like to come back to Aurora if possible. I apologize for my wrongdoings, but I can't particularly remember the circumstances of this ban. I am open to discourse about it.

If I really just wanted to be a griefer and ruin rounds, do you think I'd be trying to get it appealed? I don't think so. I want to play with this community, and it seems every step I take is nuanced just because I've been permabanned in the past for a simple rulebreak.

Does the fact that I got permabanned before make me immediately a bad person? I was having a great round just to get permabanned for something I didn't even do. Thats my point, I would understand if I did perform the surgery but I didn't. I didn't try to convince anyone to let me do it, I was simply just trying to help. I don't understand the moderation philosophy of this community. You guys are so well known for giving permabans for the smallest things that it's a common occurence, The point of moderation is not to ban every single person who has a bad round or makes a simple mistake, but to help them grow as a better roleplayer and player in general. That's why I'm having trouble coming to terms with all of this.

Keep in mind there were no medical personnel aside from a handful of first responders. Who had their hands full, but almost as soon as I said I could help, more medical personnel came in to help so I backed off. I didn't even try to argue with their complaint, I told them I understood but I had a problem with them trying to dictate the background of my character.

I understand that. I just wanted to help out in a dire situation and didn't really think about the out of character side of things. I fully understand that it's considered jobhopping and why after being ahelped I didn't continue it any further. I just don't understand the permaban after talking with Rooster and telling them it was a simple mistake and I was thinking about what my character would say. I just feel like it was brought on because I showed my annoyance with them calling my character unbelievable

Not to mention, after reviewing their recent posts on Unbans regarding them. They have another case where they gave out unwarranted lengths of time for menial things such as going AFK. Like come on, do better guys.

Reason for complaint: Permabanned me after accusing me of Jobhopping, because after the Captain and 3 others were dying of lung damage, Medical asked for help. I told them I could maybe do surgery depending on the circumstances due to my characters background of serving in the Imperial Army as a Medical Officer for 10 years. They decline me as a Surgeon finally shows up, and I don't press it any further, In my ban message Rooster says that I "tried to convince medical to let me do surgery" This is not what happened, I told them I could, and then a surgeon showed up so I waited for the other officer there to be ready so we could go to security. The most medical I did during this round was giving a dead person CPR. I believe that I hurt Roosters feelings by telling them off for calling my characters backstory unbelievable and told them to close my ticket as I wasn't actively attempting to do any advanced medical and there wasn't a problem. This shouldn't have even been a staff issue to begin with. What is the point of making characters if staff can deem your character unbelievable at any point. I even tried to explain my reasoning to them. I made this complaint because I find this ban unwarranted, barring my prior history. There was no rule break even attempted here, I believe they banned me just because I told them to leave me alone about it. BYOND Key: Slickallx Total Ban Length: Perma Banning staff member's Key: Persephone Reason of Ban: Bombed the engine, gas storage and opened the engine itself so it's gas spread everywhere at round end. Reason for Appeal: As I explained to Persephone when we initially spoke, I understand that engineering is the last place you want to touch as an antag, but considering I spent almost 45 minutes of the round in the brig due to security forgetting about me while fighting other antags who I teamed up with, I wanted to start a new gimmick. My new gimmick was gonna be taking revenge on security using improvised weapons, I had a shield, spear, armor, helmet, all built by hand, which took me 20 minutes just to gather the supplies. Engineering knew I had access and reported me to security, but security took no action. When the round started to transfer, I knew I had ran out of time, so I planned on building a TTV and having a stand off outside of security, ending (hopefully) with me blowing myself up. Whilst gathering supplies inside of engineering (the Engineers saw me enter) I began to panic due to security coming down on me. So I hastily built two welderbombs, (Again I realize this is frowned upon) and pushed one into the Supermatter, again in full view of the engineering team, who took no action against me. So I went ahead with my plan, and detonated the bombs. I know due to my prior history of a ban this may sound ironic but I realize what I did and I regret it. I've just started playing antag roles and I don't think I have any antag-related notes, my past antag rounds have really been fun for everyone involved. (Possessed Wizard go brr) I'd really like another chance, I understand what I did and I understand why you wanted me to make an appeal, to see if I really cared about the jobban, which I do. I hope we can come to an understanding about this, and I promise not to blow up engineering anymore.

Thank you. Yes I agree, Most of these rule breaks come from me getting lazy during long rounds. I'll make sure to properly cryo and follow the rules properly from on now.

BYOND Key: Slickallx Total Ban Length: Perma Banning staff member's Key: MattAtlas Reason of Ban: Suicide for no reason Reason for Appeal: I've just come back to SS13, tried to get on Aurorastation and saw I was banned for this. It's been over a month since the ban, and I don't really see the reason for the perma seeing as I haven't been banned before, it does say I have some notes due to other issues but a permaban for this? I don't really get the reason. I understand its generally bad RP but everyone makes mistakes. I hope we can resolve this.
