  1. BYOND Key: Drooling Cowboy Total Ban Length: Antagonist Ban, permanent. Applied four years ago Banning staff member's Key: Alberyk Reason of Ban: I, as the leader of the revolutionaries four years ago was found out, along with my three followers. We held out in the church's inner room while security set up outside. I got ready for a shootout after demanding they leave. This happened a long time ago so I may not remember everything perfectly. Although to cut a long story short, the situation ended with me ordering a few random weapons for my crew to fight the security team bringing in laser guns to fight us with. One of those random weapons just so happened to be a mininuke launcher. I, of course could not resist such a tempting offer and immediately declared to the security team if they did not leave the church I would fire at them, with a mininuke launcher. They told me to stand down and continued to bring in weapons. After seeing a crate of weapons being dragged in and no sign of them retreating, I bravely told the chaplain to open the door and allow me outside. I exited, and fired a single mininuke into the center of the church, causing everyone including myself to instantly die and for the entire z-level to be irridiated along with the complete destruction of the floor. I was then antagonist banned. Reason for Appeal: I am extremely sorry for nuking the entire security department and I promise it will not happen again. I have also realized that it's better to leave people alive rather than reduce them to nuclear ash when playing antagonist. It's always more fun to have a interesting story where most people live and don't get instantly vaporized by a nuclear bomb
  2. BYOND Key: Drooling Cowboy Character Names: Tuna Collins, Hope Burns Brightly, Soldiers Move Onwards Species you are applying to play: Skrell What color do you plan on making your first alien character: Yellow. Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: I think Skrell are generally just a cool species with a pretty interesting and deep background you can pull from. Their society interests me along with the various rebel groups that oppose the federation. Generally, it's just an interesting species at least to me, and I think they're pretty cool. I'm also interested in their psionics as I find that sort of thing pretty damn cool. They have a wide variety of backgrounds they can come from, which also appeals to me because it allows me to make a lot of different characters who don't all fit into the same format. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Skrell are psionic, along with the fact they're amphibious creatures and almost always have to stay moist. Being psionic and coming from a psionic society or just being surrounded by other psionics and suddenly coming to a society where they don't have that ability can be quite hard to adjust to. Skrell also have the unique ability of entering the srom when they sleep, which dictates a lot of their culture and life outside of work, with it even being an addiction for some. Character Name: Wu'll Xorlaq Please provide a short backstory for this character: They're a young, Fifty five year old yellow skrell with short unbound headtails and an extremely cocky attitude. They're from the traverse, living most of their life on a ship their quya being their own crew of smugglers and other undesireables the federation have deemed rebels. Being a smuggler, they never really had a lot of interaction with the srom outside of his crew, managing to keep a lot of their secrets and thoughts to themselves. Along with the fact they were a listener, it made psionically connecting with skrell hard. Recieving no education apart from what was taught to them by the rest of the small rebel fleet they were apart of, they had to prove themselves through slipping into federation controlled cities, and delivering illegal items to well paying customers. They were sadly at the bottom end of an extremely lucrative business. Despite this, they were happy. They thought of the federation as extremely oppressive, and grew to hate every second they spent in hiding from authorities in their gigantic pristine cities. Their lack of a threat of social credit deductions hanging over them, along with their tendancy to have to talk themselves out of sticky situations they'd regularly find themselves in lead them to develop sort of a silver tongue, along with a general attitude to say and do whatever they felt like doing. Despite this brash attitude, they follow the Weishii faith, having a deep appreciation for nature despite the little time they usually spend on planets. They regularly enjoy simply sitting down in large open floral areas and contemplating life. They were introduced to the religion after attempting to pickpocket a Wei'Vii during a trip to a federation controlled world. The older skrell caught them in the act, but instead of turning them into authorities, they instead gave them a lecture of their religion, showing them the beauty of plant life and meditation. Suprisingly, they listened. Enthralled by what the older skrell had to say, and curious as to why they didn't just decide to turn them in. Ever since, the religion stuck with them. They had a place in their tight knit crew, feeling at home despite being criminals in the traverse. At fifty five years old, they was a valued member of the crew, being a great smuggler, pickpocket, and general scum of the federation. Although, they weren't happy. Being chased around like a rat in a maze, never getting to just settle down and make friends outside of his crew, or really experience the srom at all was starting to get to them. So, They decided to leave for the freedom of human space. Their quya were saddened, although understood their decision to enter human space. They had already learnt the language, being a smuggler and needing the ability to talk to humans when conducting buisness. With a few lies and bribes, They managed to secure themselves a work visa for biesel, and after that it was as simple as finding a company that would hire them, and a job that they could do with no work experience. They of course settled with nanotrasen, and it looked like they needed a janitor. Freedom from the federation, and no longer being chased, maybe Wu'll Xorlaq could finally find happiness? What do you like about this character: I think they're a fun concept, not really a rebel and more so just a general scumbag who despite hating the federation just wants to be happy and live a life free of being chased around or conforming to their social credit system. How would you rate your role-playing ability: Decently Good. Notes: N/A
  3. Broken does not follow any specific religion, although many of the individual nymphs have memories from their former crew of being an agnostic, an atheist or christian. They as a collective have just agreed to be agnostic. They are currently not aware of the Eternal Church. A few of the nymphs comprising Broken have attempted to differentiate themselves from the former crew, although most see themselves as continuations of the former crew. Broken as a gestalt sees themselves as a continuation of the friendship the crew had. Only two families turned them away, although the nymphs sometimes breaks away from Broken to attempt to contact their former family again, usually to no avail. Broken themselves feels confused, although sort of understands. In a sense, they know they're not who they used to be, although it still hurts knowing the people they have memories of loving, and still do love now reject them. Broken does have a few oddities related to the memories they've received, most noticably with them sometimes acting as if they are one of the crew that were absorbed, without any recollection that they're even a gestalt. They can be snapped out of this haze rather easily. Their memories actually did conflict quite a bit with their pacifism, although they've never really wanted to hurt anyone. As a sort of middle-ground they abide by a strict self-defense only doctrine, never going out of their way to attack or provoke anyone to violence, and only defending themselves when they are in danger or being attacked.
  4. BYOND Key: Drooling Cowboy Character Names: Alwyn Harper, Peter Topside, Brave Bumbling Idiot (Ghostrole) Species you are applying to play: Dionae What color do you plan on making your first alien character: N/A Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: I became interested in Dionae after playing the off-ship xenotamer role, I found it incredibly fun to play as what is essentially a bunch of small animals assembled into one larger animal. I also think their lore abilities and generally just their concept is very unique and interesting compared to most of the other races and aliens on baystation. I mostly just want to play it because it gives me the opportunity to play as something different and experiment with character ideas that I wouldn't usually be able to. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Dionae are comprised of nymphs, these nymphs act sort of like a hivemind, although are all separate individual beings, in some cases even having rather pronounced different personalities that may even conflict with one another. The nymphs work together in order to form a humanoid body which allows them to more easily interact with the world around them. They have a multitude of various mind-types that greatly effect how you can roleplay as them, along with the fact that their age also has a factor in how you play them, with coeus dionae being far more curious and usually not as smart as fully grown or even elderly dionae. Dionae also have the longest lifespan out of any other species, allowing for certain characters to have been around for longer than almost anyone else. Character Name: Broken Memories Lost in Sand Please provide a short backstory for this character: A small cargo ship belonging to the orion express was traveling through deadspace, out on the frontier. The ship was delivering supplies to some backwater world in the coalition of colonies, with most on the ship being apart of the CoC themselves. The crew had recently decided to begin growing nymphs after being recommended to by a skrell onboard the ship, deciding to grow six pods in hopes of forming a gestalt. The nymphs were grown, and soon scuttled off to hide or play with the various members of the crew. The captain was a little concerned with just how many nymphs were now scuttling about his ship, and decided to take a detour to drop them off on a nearby inhabited world. During his detour however, the ship just so happened to get struck by a rather large asteroid, cutting their engines and sending them careening towards a nearby uninhabited planet. None of the crew survived the impact, the nymphs however, did. They scurried out of their hiding places, eating their former play-mates and caretakers. The young nymphs, having never consumed blood before soon became overwhelmed with the personalities and memories of the people they consumed. There just so happened to be six crew aboard the ship, which gave each nymph a single body to consume. The nymphs then all realized, they were fucked. Some began running around screaming, others were convinced they were in fact the person they had consumed, trapped inside the body of a nymph. However, the nymph who had consumed the skrellian crew member managed to rally everyone together, appealing to their memories of all of them being friends, and their desire to survive in what they soon realized to be a desert world. The nymphs formed into a gestalt, and gathered up as many glow sticks and other light sources they could find in preparation of the night. Each passing day gave way to a freezing night, causing them to huddle around the few emergency glow-sticks they had managed to salvage, and burning embers of the wreckage. After a week, they began to give up on ever getting off of the planet. That is of course, until they saw a ship enter the atmosphere, and land a fair distance away from them. They let the recovery team drag them back to their ship, where they were questioned, and soon the recovery team pieced together what had happened. Realizing that the missing crew were now oddly enough a gestalt, they took the newly formed gestalt back to Xanu, where they were rather easily granted citizenship after proving that they were in fact sentient. The Orion express washed their hands of the incident, and let them go. The newly formed gestalt was extremely confused, although they were still rallied under the nymph who absorbed the skrellian crew member, who appeared to have retained the most of their victims personality. The gestalt soon found itself wandering from home to home, each nymph asking to visit their families, so they could talk to them. Some could remember names, faces, while others had a hard time recalling much outside of surface level experiences or knowledge. Either way, they made their way across Xanu, with some of their families reacting with horror and demanding they leave, while other surprisingly seemed to be fine with their former loved ones memories now being in a nymph. Some even went as far to attempt to keep them, using them as a replacement of sorts of the family they had lost. They eventually settled in the skrellian crewmembers former home, who's family seemed to be wary, although understanding of the situation. Allowing the gestalt to stay there so it could adjust. They were happy that at least some of their child had survived, although talking with any of the nymphs, especially the speaker, the skrell, was almost like talking to a ghost of a person. Unable to recall most events outside of vague generalizations, although sometimes giving vivid accounts of experiences that never happened to them. After about a year of just trying to get used to their rather odd life in the skrellians home, they decided to finally get back to work again, as most of them enjoyed working for the orion express. They began focusing on getting an education, with their memories they easily "re-learned" most of what was required to obtain their former jobs. Within two years, they were back to working with the orion express. Another year, and they were showing themselves to be amazing workers. They were good enough that they decided to send them to the horizons, to work as a cargo tech. They're four years old, a harmonious hym, and a a coeus. Their opinions of the coalition are almost entirely positive, due to how easily they were able to obtain citizenship. They like that the coalition is rather free-form compared to other factions. They don't really care much about the SCC and other corporations, instead being rather loyal towards orion, and greatly enjoying working for them. They're very accepting of most other species, although have a strong disliking of the federation, along with machines due to the absorbed skrellian crew member's memories. They also strongly dislike sol, due to all former members of the crew that they absorbed being from the coalition. They're rather neutral about most other companies, not having a lot of memories of experiences with them. What do you like about this character?: Dionae as a species interest me, I've played a lot of them already as ghost roles, and their lore and abilities interest me. They just seem fun to play as. How would you rate your role-playing ability?: I'd say I'm decent, I'm not incredible but I can play a character fairly well.

Dionae also have the longest lifespan out of any other species, allowing for certain characters to have been around for longer than almost anyone else. Character Name: Brave Fool Please provide a short backstory for this character: The story of the four nymphs comprising this odd coeus is rather odd. The main nymph that usually speaks for the gestalt, affectionately named idiot by the other nymphs is nineteen years old, and was raised by two skrellian parents, their real name being Qurzi. They were raised alongside a skrellian child, who would often terrorize and torment them, chasing them around their home and occasionally tossing them around to their parents shame. They were given a small amount of skrellian blood, enough to assist them in learning their language, although Qurzi's personality was a little... Strange. Compared to their out-going and very happy go lucky sibling, they were... Very socially awkward, to say the least. They were meek, and would usually bumble and stumble their way through most interactions and conversations with other skrells outside of their family. Their family of course presumed this to be an affect of their child's terrorizing of the nymph, who both were very young at the time. Despite the rocky start of their relations, Qurzi and their adoptive sibling shared a very strong bond, with the latter usually taking them into school with them, allowing them to ride about in their backpack. At the age of nineteen however, Qurzi's parents decided that they had developed enough to attempt to merge with a gestalt. Qurzi of course meekly agreed, although they really just wanted to spend more time with their sibling, and didn't at all feel ready to form into a gestalt yet. Although the expectations their parents were setting for them to become a farmer in skrellian society was putting a lot of pressure on the meek nymph, who easily rolled over to their parents demands. They soon found themselves attempting to merge with a variety of other nymphs, who unsurprisingly, all rejected them. With claims of their odd personality type and constant worrying, alongside their unneeded commentary of most situations. They were too much of an individual to be apart of a gestalt, and far too meek to be a tyrannical tune themselves. Their parents began to grow worried as they continued to search for a nymph that would accept them. They found three equally young nymphs that would be willing to accept Qurzi, all of them nineteen, two of them having been raised together by two skrell in place of children, due to their sterility. The two nymphs were exposed to large amounts of old human media, their parents being avid fans of human media. Despite repeatedly trying to form a gestalt, their personalities always seemed to clash. Jim was brash, rowdy and always wanted to be the one in control, never backing down from a situation and always wanting to voice their opinion. Carl was rather happy, relaxed and generally didn't like insulting or annoying others around them, their personality was just as pronounced as Jim's, the two would regularly get into arguments whenever they formed and would soon find themselves splitting apart at a moments notice due to their constant arguments with one another over their actions. A third nymph also named Krzil was apart of the gestalt, far more calm and reserved than the others, this nymph was grown by a skrellian musician. Their only flaw that delegated them to being apart of the chaotic symphony was the fact their love of music was so amazingly strong, they couldn't help but begin immediately remarking about and commentating over any music they listened to, giving detailed annoying and rather drawn out analysis's of music at a moments notice. They regularly would butt heads with Jim due to their brash way of speaking with others. After merging with the gestalt, Qurzi soon found their place as the head of the gestalt, desperately attempting to keep the others calm while they argued with one another. Amazingly, Qurzi actually managed to keep the chaotic symphony together, mostly due to the fact that the other two nymphs comprising them began to come to their defense when Jim would regularly begin insulting them. Jim soon found himself being forced out of a leadership role by the other two nymphs. Despite Qurzi's many, many mistakes and completely unneeded remarks about a situation, Carl and Krzil both found them appealing, mostly due to the fact they almost only had good intentions, and would always try to do the right thing, even if they failed miserably. Jim despised them, although he was able to easily bully Qurzi into shutting up or mumbling apologies, for some reason they could never get Qurzi to do what they wanted. So Jim affectionately began calling Qurzi "Idiot", mostly just as a way to get back at them. Having nowhere else to go, Jim reluctantly stayed with the gestalt. Despite Qurzi now being the primary speaker of the group, this doesn't stop the other dionae from regularly butting in and giving their opinions about what's going on or Qurzi's decisions. They're a mess of a chaotic symphony, although Qurzi does their best to keep everyone under control, despite their meekness and constant apologies. After Qurzi's many, many pleas to do so, the gestalt finally decided upon a name, having combined their various name ideas into "Brave Fool", Jim was especially happy with the latter part of the name. The federation granted them citizenship, after Qurzi barely managed to keep the chaotic mess of nymphs together in order to do so. After realizing the gestalt was rather unstable, the federation decided it would be best for them to get some work experience somewhere else, so they could better adjust and that hopefully their chaotic symphony would calm down into a democratic mind-type. They were offered a position as a Janitor on the Horizons. They currently have a social credit score of five point six. They are currently employed by nanotrasen. What do you like about this character?: They're just fun to play as, being able to have a disagreement and then have a nymph pop off of them to go sulk off in a corner, or have Qurzi become completley overwhelmed by a situation and leave their body headless while he hides from the gestalt is a funny and interesting concept for me. How would you rate your role-playing ability?: I'd say I'm decent, I'm not incredible but I can play a character fairly well.
  6. Yo, I'm not saying I would have shot you, I'm saying I know firing on you was against the rules, and I know that I'm on thin ice so I wanted to avoid breaking rules, however me insulting you a lot for locking me up over such a petty thing for me was just roleplay. Anyway as I said, I just grabbed a gun for protection since it was the crew armory and just wanted to defend myself. I never wanted to shoot you, and I missed your looc. Also, I had the rifle gripped before you shot me or I ran away. You never told me to surrender, either I didn't hear it or you can just check the logs after the fact you shot me eight times and kept shooting before I ever fired a shot at you, which an admin confirmed himself. Why did I disobey orders? Because I wanted to defend myself, and you lit me up with a laser gun. Can't speak on everyone elses actions, I don't care about you getting punished, I'm just trying to defend what I did.
  7. Sup, I played Ose and saw your complaint. Just some info here, I was charged for trying to fix up a unathi military hardsuit with some other characters, although the charges were dropped and reduced to disobeying orders because we attempted to run away initially before turning ourselves in. Then slander after I insulted him a lot and called him a mallcop after said arrest. I was in the cell for about ten minutes, for some reason he didn't give me my card back and eventually after being dragged off into maint the officer said I could just leave because my sentence was up So after the radstorm I left to the armory. I took the gun even after he said no because I wanted to defend myself. I had spent ten minutes in jail, been released by the other officers and for some reason he didn't just charge me with slander twenty minutes ago when I was still in the brig. Logs show what happened, I decided to run, however I did not fire back at him or take my gun off of safety until he had shot me EIGHT times, because I didn't want to break any rules since I got off a permaban recently. I returned fire twice before flopping over, to which he attempted to kill confirm me. After that I'm not sure what happened
  8. BYOND Key: Drooling Cowboy Staff BYOND Key: Melariara Game ID: clG-ayux (Or the round after this one) Reason for complaint: About a week ago I made an assistant (Nessie Topside) who was also a clown as an entertainer, I played this character completely seriously and did not at any point break character. In that time I made multiple ahelps to make sure I was avoiding breaking any rules or going too far with any shenanigans I would get up to, such as vandalizing security in retaliation for their dog biting my character, ect. A headmin/headcoder had even observed and allowed me to do so as long as I didn't fight back. Recently however, after a wrestling match between my character and a mime in the holodeck alongside another vandlisation attempt (which I made sure to get the go-ahead from again, this time from a moderator) I was PM'd by a staff member who had stated multiple times in ooc how they did not like clowns and how they had no place in Aurorastation. This staff member said that clowns were LRP and had no place in aurorastation, then also went on to tell me that I was self-antagging by vandalizing security with crayons, despite ahelping and getting permission before this. I told them this, and they didn't really seem to care. Either way, they told me to stop playing the character, which I did. I'm making this because multiple other staff members were perfectly fine with me playing this character, and the admin who has banned me from playing this character seems to have a personal vendetta against clowns, despite me playing mine as completely straight, someone who genuinely studied at a comedy/theatre school to become a clown and enjoys entertaining people. I only have one screenshot I took of my conversation with her, the rest I hope can be dug up through server logs. I don't have the round ID of me talking the headmin/headcoder who gave me permission to resist arrest, only the round where I talk with Melariara. Evidence/logs/etc: I'll have to ask you guys to dig up the logs, all I got is this one screenshot I took Additional remarks: I just want to play my character
  9. BYOND Key: Drooling Cowboy Total Ban Length: Perma Banning staff member's Key: Boryatheslayer Reason of Ban: Reason for Appeal: I was a bit of a shithead two years ago and liked to play as a dominian a lot. I'd just like to get back into the server because I'm genuinely interested about the changes I've heard about. I'm also sorry about my past behavior here.
