Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question.
Why do you wish to play this specific race: I wish to play as a Diona due to it being what I had played on Paradise Station, and it was quite enjoyable. Their visual appearance is also quite interesting, as its more of plant then typical flesh, which majority of races are composed of. The ability to split off a nymph to be in multiple places at once would also be quite useful for communication and getting certain tasks done, such as things that require in-person rather than simply yelling over the radio. Dionae lore is also quite interesting as well, with younger dionae gathering experiences to contribute, and their conditional pacifism.
Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Dionae are different from humans in role-play because they're composed of more than one entity, and that's a part of their personalities and their capability at tasks. Some are composed of more nymphs, some speak in different ways. Some of these ways are one nymph speaking for the whole, or all of them speaking at once, which would be quite chaotic. They also have a different language, but I don't see it coming up all too often, but it probably will. Their naming scheme is also quite interesting and works as a role-play point.
Character Name: Warm Breeze
Please provide a short backstory for this character: It was just a while ago, maybe 30 years? This particular gestalt was quite lonely, having broken off from a greater, larger gestalt, composed of potentially thousands of nymphs. Of course, there wasn't much of anything around, other than a city off in the distance. But of course, why go when there were experiences to be had in the current area? One of those first experiences was a warm gust of air, hitting them in the 'face' which of course, ended up as its name. It gained plenty from nature, learning of how it worked and what lived in it: but it was time to move on.
It traveled to the city, there were many sights and experiences, all of which were useful in some way, but eventually, they had the opportunity to become space-faring, which would be the greatest experience of all. They spent (metaphorical) ages trying to get to space, bouncing company to conglomerate to corporation. Eventually, they found the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate, which welcomed them in and brought them to the stars above that meager planet. They went from ship to ship gathering oh so many experiences, but yet to find what it truly wants to become. Eventually, it ended up on the Aurora, to gather more from the people and events there.
What do you like about this character? I like Warm Breeze because it has a fair bit of depth with room to be expanded upon, if needed. It has potential to take differing jobs, and can work with others in different ways, whether they provide positive, negative, or harmful experiences to the gestalt. I'm hoping that others like the character, and enjoy their company, as that would overall mean I was successful in creating said character. I genuinely hope that would be the case. Hopefully I can also be more active in role-playing due to having to search for experiences.
How would you rate your role-playing ability? I consider myself fairly decent at it, although I do still have trouble gameplay-wise.
Notes: I recently discovered that we're supposed to put education background and the such in employment records. This will be done going forward.
