Porada, Denis - SAMV Florian Geyer CO (Victim) Crew of SAMV Florian Geyer (Victims) Secondary Witnesses: Muckle, Louise - Atmospherics Technician/Off-Duty at time of incident - Witness Hazel #S-H9.09 - Bartender - Witness Time of Incident: 2466-9-23 // Approx. 0000-0230 Real Time: Server Time: 2024-09-23 o/a 0000-0230 // Approx. 2000-2230 EST/0000-0230 GMT Location of Incident: Operations Hangar, Brig, Badlands sector space, IVO Solarian Naval vessel SAMV Florian Geyer Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [x] - Neglect of Duty [ ] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [x] - Misconduct [x] - Other - Diplomatic Incident Overview of the Incident: On/around the above listed time, crewmen Titus Shaner, Brox Ragaat, and Ezho Guwan, under employ of Hephaestus Industries, Orion Express, and Orion Express, respectively, departed the SCCV Horizon on the Spark mining shuttle, with Shaner as the primary pilot. Earlier in the shift, scientist Thomas Smail had lost his hand in a workplace incident wherein he tried to hack a machine; the wound was cauterized immediately, but no medical or machinist personnel were available for medical care beyond rudimentary treatment. According to the interviewed offenders, the Spark forwarded a medical request to the SAMV Florian Geyer, a Solarian Naval vessel on routine patrol. The Florian Geyer responded with an intent to send out an away party. Following this, it is alleged that the crew of the Spark entered the proximity of the SAMV Florian Geyer to throw tomatoes at the crew, at the suggestion of Titus Shaner, as part of a prank. When this intrusion into the Florian Geyer's airspace was met with warnings and hostility, the crew of the Spark is alleged to have falsely claimed thruster issues, prompting the station intelligence to request the presence of an engineer and myself to be teleported onboard the Spark and ensure its return to the SCCV Horizon. For a significant amount of time following this, the Spark neglected to promptly return to the SCCV Horizon; instead, it repeatedly flew in and out of communications and teleportation range of the Horizon. Throughout this ordeal, the station intelligence, BUDDY, maintained communications with the crew of the Florian Geyer in the command bunker over the hailing channel in order to reduce hostilities, prevent the destruction of the Spark, and prevent the instigation of a diplomatic incident. I was on standby in the teleporter room to enter the Spark and forcibly demand the return to the Horizon, but the shuttle did not remain within teleportation range for long. Eventually, the crew of the Spark returned to the Horizon in a depressurized state; it was claimed that crewman Titus Shaner entered the vacuum of space and fled/attempted suicide before the shuttle's return in order to avoid repercussions with ship security and the Solarian element. Ezho Guwan assumed control of the Spark after this. Ezho Guwan and Brox Ragaat were immediately detained once medical staff cleared them on arrival and they were transported to the brig by myself for questioning. At this time, the Solarian element declared they were boarding the Horizon, with or without permission, to interview the offenders personally and collect the appropriate paperwork. At this time, Operations Manager Shahar Sraran'Mrakiizar awakened for duty and was briefed on the incident by myself and the station intelligence, as they were the first Command staff on duty for the shift. LCDR Denis Porada, commanding officer of the SAMV Florian Geyer, and his crew boarded and were escorted to the interrogation room, where he interviewed Guwan and Ragaat. Following the interview of Guwan, Captain Qeryuli Auil'suos-Fedas awoke from cryogenic sleep and was briefed on the incident; they sat in on the interview with Ragaat. Mid-way through the interview with Ragaat, the SCCV Horizon received an emergency fax from the B-53LIN Relay Station that an unauthorized individual, possibly Titus Shaner, had intruded upon the station. The Horizon prepared for recovery by the time the shift had ended. Both surviving crewmen were placed in holding-until-transfer at the end of the shift. The Solarian element departed without further incident and thanked us for our accommodation. Submitted Evidence: Interview with Ezho Guwan: Interview with Ragaat: Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [x] - Yes, if required [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: Sraran'Mrakiizar, Shahar - Operations Manager - First Command staff involved in situation Qeryuli, Auil'suos-Fedas - Captain - Second Command staff involved in situation; supervising authority following Solarian interview with offending parties Actions taken: Ezho Guwan, Brox Ragaat interviewed by Solarian LCDR Denis Porada; both crewmen placed in holding-until-transfer afterward. Titus Shaner initially declared deceased; status rescinded upon emergency fax from the B-53LIN Relay Station. Rescue mission prepared. Additional Notes: OOC NOTE: I am deploying overseas in the next day or two, so I won't be available for IC communication until a few days/weeks from now. I'll be on Discord if necessary. I also didn't get the opportunity to screenshot every document involved in the incident before round-end, but I did manage to copy/paste the recording transcripts above.
  2. BLUF: +1; Botanist would be a good addition to the lore team and would provide quality products to build upon the setting. I've known Botanist for a while and can say that they possess the requisite autism to write lore for SS13 are capable of producing thorough, granular, and quality products that are unique, fit the setting, and allow the necessary depth for players and characters to provide creative and interesting stories in a collaborative environment. They have a refreshing candor regarding the lore and would do a phenomenal job of shaping the setting in which our characters inhabit for the better. My only problem is that Dominia is badass, and disliking Dominia is not badass. Once that silly quirk gets fixed I don't see a reason to reject them from the team; more lore is not always good lore, but I think in this instance we would have a linear growth of both quantity and quality.
  3. i have known botanist for an alarming amount of time during my imprisonment on ss13 im pretty sure theyre a lizard irl so it would be easy to be a lizard ingame flashbang out the door +1
