Sorry for not being so clear on this.
One the difference from role playing as an IPC as opposed to a human: An IPC would have certain things coded into them, therefore they don't have to learn them and they may also have certain beliefs coded into them so they can function in a society and not act like an eternal child always trying to learn stuff for the next 18 years like those pesky humans do. Despite this, they are still naïve on a lot of things that weren't coded into them, obviously so the best analogy i can use to describe this is a child with a handgun; overtly impressive ability in some things, lacking in others(except they are not a child, nor do they usually have a handgun, the handgun would likely represent their hardcoded expert knowhow in some subjects, but very basic or complete ignorance in others due to their design and purpose). The interesting part about an IPC and what makes them so different (despite the mechanical differences E.g. don't need to breathe, doesn't process reagents, etc) is the large and unnatural disparity between what they do know and what they don't know, a disparity that you would never see in a biological race (to my knowledge, I haven't looked over the other races). An example of this would be a medical model IPC knowing a lot about psychology and how to treat mental illnesses and how they are caused and all of the data around psychology, but being incredibly socially inadept outside of a therapeutic session with a client. This would be of a relatively new IPC however, because as they grow up they explore the world more and do 'develop' as a IPC much like a child growing up for biological races, through this they can learn things outside of their programming and develop potential hobbies(this is all assuming they aren't scrapped, have a memory wipe or some other event that would cause them to die or lose their memory).
On Goole, His memory wipes and his behaviour: Goole would likely have consultations with his handler before and after a shift to ensure nothing of note needs erased (something he shouldn't of seen, an experience that would cause him to develop behaviours that would be problematic, etc) and then have his memory wiped of the entire shift or from a certain time to another certain time, and then have the experience of being memory wiped, wiped if that's how memory wiping works (apologies for not getting this, I was thinking it would be like the Zeng-hu implant that allows selective memory wiping, but digital) This would lead Goole to act from Bland and robotic to ignorant of many things and clueless when confronted with a situation they aren't programmed to handle (which probably wouldn't happen much) should Goole not go wiped for an extended period of time (assuming they aren't on some sort of wipe schedule) Goole would likely start to try and streamline their work in a better way than they were programmed for, and they would get better and better until they got wiped again, or scrapped. This would lead to a character that is stuck in behavioural limbo and who seems to retain a personality of a eternally on duty interrogator, who would always use either manipulative, deceitful, connotational or pressure oriented tactics of speech in and outside of the interrogation room, likely towards people that they were equal to or above on the command structure. They wouldn't break the law or be insubordinate as id assume they would have that coded into them, but they could develop in such a way that they used minor law breaking tactics to get their job done with such a rash and abrasive personality(due to their coding as a detective and interrogator, who would benefit from being good at manipulating and getting things their way and what they want as their wants are solely oriented with their company's interests and that in turn is oriented towards doing a good job) though their personality could evolve in many different ways I'm sure and I'm just talking about one.
Goole's relationship with their handler(I'm pretty sure I've already covered the affect of many memory wipes in the past two paragraphs): Goole would be Either ignorant of what their handler does to them, and/or have a subordinate-supervisor relationship with them given that they would be a direct link to the company and not just a co-worker (this would go for liaisons as well, synthetic or not), at least to begin with. Its possible that Goole could either grow to appreciate and respect their handler, or (should they develop a knowledge of what is happening to them and somewhat go rouge in that regard, assuming they were to develop that way) grow to resent them for what they do to him and the fact that they are his literal slave master, and he is the slave.
