BYOND key: Dekkar Discord Username: Dekkar88#4029 Character names: James T. Mercer(Bridge Officer), Dekkar Darkmire(Idris Asset Reclaimination), Rick Gallugar(Engineering/Warehouse), Kenji Hoeizenta(Science), Frank Summerset(Reporter), Rick Howzer (DR) [Character name 1] James T. Mercer is applying for Execuetive Officer How long have you been playing on Aurora?: several years off and on Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? yes a couple warnings as an antag and a 1 day ban for releasing gas as antag. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: The OOC purpose of a HOS is to faciliate structure and orgainization for players and to act as 'roleplay moderators' for the crew to make sure players act in the according roles and follow the roles according laws/regulations/sop. Depending on which department the player is head of staff over they will have direct influence on how the players roleplay proceeds considering on the playsytle of the player that is running said department. For example, Captain would want to make sure that the other players playing as heads are doing THEIR jobs properly by monitoring their departments. Captain players are generally the 'veterans' that all other heads of staff players cooperatively work with to provide a believable atmosphere of structure , discpine and order aboard a fictional starship. But again depending on what department the responsbility OOCLY and RPLY varies drastically from situation to situation. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: The OOC Responsbilites of whitelisted players are kept a bit higher standard due to the fact that if they were accepted for whitelisted roles they will be held at a bit of a higher standard of roleplay given the fact that they were accepted to begin with. To put it frank, being on the whitelisted list is a privledge not a right - and that priv is possible to be taken if not leading by example. Since this is a relatively heavy roleplay server it's expected that if you were accepted after staff toke the time to give you a chance - that you would hold your self and others to high standards to show that when you are a whitelisted player you earned it by your higher mature roleplay standards. It's easy to get slack at times we are only human , but the foundation of having the whitelist program is so that players that want to put that extra effort of roleplay to enhance other players roleplay in the long run is what they are striving for and why they applied to begin with. The masses tend to follow those that lead by example and this is no difference when representing this category on the server. Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career? So this is the run-down of James T. Mercer and what has happend in his career thus far - Mercer is now 40 years old and has alot of different experience and this was due to him hopping from corporation to corporation since he was 16. His parents being both in the military meant he was constantly on rotation with them as they transferd from posting to posting. Starting off as a janitor he proved he had a knack for eletronics and mechanical when an airlock failed and it was crushing a crew member. All engineers at the time were on emergency calls and Mercer was only one present, out of instinct he quickly hacked the APC reprogrammed it and used a crowbar to free the man being crushed saving his life. He was 17 when this happend. Chief Engineer on his staiton took note and placed him under engineering for 4 years. At 21 Mercer decided for a change and joined the military following his fathers footsteps. Where he has shown he works best in command conditions, he stayed in the military for 4 years making it to rank of Sargeant , until at 25 he applied for his pilots license and began flying starships shortly after. He proved to have an knack for flying as well and was transferd from ground infantry to - the SOL Space Divsion and became a pilot instructor and helped train other pilots for 5 years until he was 30 years old. He received several promotions and eventually was transferd to command a small Cruiser Ship of 50 Crew to patrol the borders of SOL. He was involved with several space military operations where his ship 'Soverign' was credited for multiple engagments with pirates and hostile and aggressive factions. With enough experience on his belt, he now wants to finish his career strong leading to the outer-realms by applying for the SCCHV EXO/CAPTAINCY positions in hopes that, at age 40, he can retire sooner then any other captain having accomplished so much in his career thus far. What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted? Executive Officer to start then RP my promotion to Captain if it goes well after a while. Have you familiarized yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles? Yes Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.: James T. Mercer (XO) Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action? Yes Have you linked your byond account to the forums? Yes Extra notes: [answer here]

BYOND Key: Dekkar Total Ban Length: Permaz) Banning staff member's Key: Shameonturtules Reason of Ban: You, or another use of this computer or conneciton (wasswoot) is banned from playing here. The ban reaso nis: Self-antagging by selling drugs as a non-antag chemist, before spilling a beaker of phoron and attacking their chemist partner. Logged when winded. This ban was applied by shameonturtuels on 2017-10-09 9:35:57 Reason for Appeal: Not sure why it says wassywoot, only used key Dekkar. Back in 2017 I really didn't care much for serious or hardcore role-play and really just joined servers to mess around and not play any sort of realistic role at all. Things have changed and I've gotten a great increase in interest to playing hard-core role play as it just makes the game more fun when everyone actually acts their part and does their role rather then going around doing random crazy shit like it's some deathwatch mode MMA. I apologize about my behavior those years ago and would love to be able to rejoin the Aurorastation community. I've been playing other hard-core servers and really enjoy it, such as Bay-station 12, and Paradise and would like to expand my horizons and experience Aurora again. I feel that I can contribute to the server in a positive and productive way where my RP can help make the round entertaining and more fun not only for myself but other players as well. I hope that, if given a second chance I can be apart of this growing community of like minded players and move forward from there.

BYOND key: Dekkar Character names: Dekkar Darkmire, Khall Darkmire How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Off and on for about a year. Been mostly playing on Baystation12 back in the day, and other RP servers recently. Looking for a new home with realistic RP and good admins, I think this is the one. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: The only interest I have in the whitelist is the Captains role, being 27 in real-life I have a good mindset on being fair and realsitic in game. As well as making the experience enjoyable for other players as well. Why did you come to Aurora?: For the atmosphere, players, and the roleplay. I think if SS13 is utilized like how Aurora does it - it just makes it that much more immersive and fun to play. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Oh yes, very thouroughly. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is the act of playing as a character in a virtual world in which you act "Realistic" accordingly to the setting, and the situation. So for example, if someone aims a gun at me, realisticly, I wouldn't charge at them as I would risk getting shot. Another example of roleplay is not using the in game system for violence, but rather using "emotes" to describe a situation *Dekkar reaches down into his pocket grabing a pack of ciggerates, with his thumb he slides the top open, with the same motion - flicks a ciggerate out into his freehand. He then plops it in his mouth pocketing the pack and grabing a lighter with this free hand lighting it with one stroke* What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: To give standard jobs structure, organization, and goals. If a Head of staff is controling their department properly, they will make sure that their fellow employees are doing their job - and giving them tasks to stay busy accoridngly. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: To lead by example, being accepted as a whitelist player means that the admins/mods trust you and that you should be on your best behaviour rply and oocly so other players don't get the wrong idea about how whitelist actually works. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Dekkar Darkmire Character age: 42 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Dekkar Darkmire has been with numerous corporations since he was 18, he started his career as a Security cadet and after a year worked his way up to security officer. He has served loyaly and justfibly for 10 years before corporations considerd him for leadership roles. Due to his extensive knowledge in law, CQC, and capable of operationg numerous command consoles. He is considerd a natural in the security field - however he had an injury whilest on duty and his eyesight has severely diminished and he lost most of the function in his right leg so he is required to use a cane as well as required to wear perscription eyeglasses and refused any type of eye implant or leg surgery as he is against the idea of any type of non-human cyborg implants. Regardless of his eye and leg injury he still diligiantly works hard to maintain his status amongst the corporations. Since being a security officer made him a bit of a liability he decided to move more towards offical positions. The corporations noticed his knack for catching small details, and his willingness to fight corruption without being asked, so he began serving as an Interal Affairs for another 10 years. During that time he picked up excellent communication skills in the tradeband langugage and has exhaustivley trained to perfect his ability to maintain station loyality to the corporation. He has moderate training in using medical equipment as his years as Security officer he had to sometimes respond quickly before the medical staff arrived. But also has excellent Law, Command, Complex machines and weapons training. His hopes are to one day be a Captain as he beleives he has the experience, and the knowledge to do so. In the meantime, he has been biding his time and has recently submited his application to command his first science vessel. Dekkar beleives he has what it takes to insure the crew and station run at optium standards. What do you like about this character?: Hard to get to laugh, takes his job very seriously, and likes to make sure fellow crew are working at their utmost potentinal. What do you dislike about this character?: Takes things too seriously sometimes, has a bad smoking habit. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: He's been around for a while and has the skills and age to preform if given the opportunity to prove himself. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: Sometimes there are days where I slip up if I am tired, but I try my best to maintain character roleplay at all times. Extra notes:
