Firstly, I'm not active just recently mostly because I'm waiting for the robes so I can play my character with them on. Secondly, what's the difference between giving me a custom item and adding it to the chaplain loadout? Thirdly, when did activity become a criteria for custom items to be accepted? And why do a bunch of people saying "Oh, I haven't seen this character before" count as inactivity? Most of the people who have said that live on the other side of the world from me, so they wouldn't see me playing in the first place. Even when I'm not on the server with them I'm on the IC discord with them almost every day. I would appreciate it so much if you could accept this, as I barely ever make applications for things and this means a lot to me. And frankly I'll be thoroughly discouraged from trying to make apps. I've been on the server for a very long time and this is my first application for anything. PS, I was on during this last weekend. Just as a different character. I have many different characters and I'm currently holding off on bringing Yoshihama on station so that the next time they do they can have their robes.

They could also add it into the loadout screen if they wanted to. Also, no other Buddhist characters had this because they didn't make an app for it. I paid to have someone sprite me this so I could make an app so the RP atmosphere that my character takes part in would be better off. Not to mention that not all Buddhist characters are monks. There are Buddhist preachers and such too. And if there happens to be other characters from this specific sect then they can just add it into the loadout menu.

I'm not sure what you mean by the smanifest, but I've had the character for a couple to a few months at this point. As to why they're on a research station, they don't work a nine to five for NT in particular, they're on loan to NT by Yoshihama's monastery for a year so that he can give meditation instruction to various administrators/command etc, as well as do Dharma talks, meditation instruction, and counseling on various stations. The station where he is staying is the Odin, so the aurora works out as one of the places he would be going. There's further backstory and reason for why, but you'll have to ask Yoshihama :3. I'm sure there's plenty of people who haven't seen his character compared to the sizable chunk of people who have. Especially since I've been busy for a little while and haven't pooped on as them in a while. I have been plenty active with them on the personal terminal discord though, since I can carry that around on my phone.

I play at greatly varying times. I haven't played them in a little while though as I've been busy with life. I meant to put in this application a while back but just now got the sprite for it. We probably don't play at the same times, because this character has been around for a good while now.

BYOND Key: Dobhran The Druid Character name: Yoshihama Hidemichi Item names: Zen monk robes. Takuhatsugasa (The hat) Why is your character carrying said item to work? Wearing the proper garments is important when meditating and giving services. The NT supplied chaplain robes don't quite cut it for keeping up with Soto zen tradition. Wearing his own robes is important to Yoshihama as a representative of his practice. And in general, wearing these robes are a part of the daily routine that is so important to monastics. Not wearing his robes would feel extremely strange to Yoshihama after so many years in them. The robes are extremely important to Yoshihama, as to wear the chaplain robes when giving services and meditating is breaking with tradition and rules for the way a monk should dress. Item function(s): The hat is just a hat, nothing special. The robes would go in the slot that the chaplain robes do, over any kind of jumpsuit or undergarment. Item descriptions: Robes: "Traditional Soto Zen Buddhist robes for meditation and services." Takuhatsugasa: "A dome shaped rice hat, this one is dyed a darker color." Item appearance: monk_robes.dmi (The sprites have already been made.) How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? For one, it would help distinguish Yoshihama as a Buddhist monk instead of a bald, Christian priest. I feel like it would help immersion for everyone involved, and would also help add to his feel of tradition and routine. Tradition and routine are things that are very important to monastics, especially Zen ones. Being able to properly convey that sense of tradition when giving meditation instruction or Dharma talks is something that I think is useful and generally helpful to RP. Additional comments: Overall, Yoshihama is a bit naked without his robes, as they are his symbol as a member of the monastic community. Religious garbs are important for any priest of any religion. (PS. Please dont steal my monk robes if you're not aurora staff putting it into the code base.)
