Reason of Ban: In a wheel chair with bone fractures, wheel'd up to point blank an antag who was just trying to leave and joined a fight with multiple other security members up. You've got way too many notes too quickly. Reign it in back in and play characters with self preservation. Additionally, this ban has been elevated to permanent due to messages of you "not caring" about the ban and it being "worth it".
Reason for Appeal: Three days have passed and i have recognized my faults, as well as learned how to behave in high intensity situations much better. What i did, although amusing, had no place to occur in an HRP server, where character actions have to be grounded, justifiable, and most importantly, believable. The biggest issue is how i treat confrontations overall, throwing self preservation out the window as soon as situations escalate to the point of no return. However, after giving the rules another read, and this post, i put the mentality to test in another server, managing to learn well enough how it works, and i am certain i can show my new approach in-game.

As for my messages of it "being worth it" and "not caring"... It wasn't, i said that because, at the moment, i was caught up with how hilarious i found it, but after giving it further thought, i realized: "Sure, we won the encounter, but was it the more satisfying one, narrative wise?"

I realized that the antag, and by extent their player, had managed to make his way back to the ship, using every resource possible... Just to be ambushed by officers in wheelchairs, and losing. In a narrative sense, that's an awful ending, and the player must have been dissatisfied as well, which is why i'd like to apologize to the player here as well. Too often the security team overwhelms the antagonists in numbers, ending with them suffering an absolute defeat, i should have considered how the other people that were involved felt in the situation, and the enjoyment they must have gotten could have been hindered by my decision.

I do care about the ban, because it was caused by my own mistake, and it was not worth it in the long run, for the consequences it had, and could've had.

In a more concise version: I have read the rules again, i have read and recieved advice on proper fearRP and self preservation, then using it in another server. I regret my decision that day, and i no longer have the same opinion over this ban that i had previously.


I hope this appeal is proof enough that i have learned, and will not repeat the same mistakes, and thank you for taking the time to read it

So, my take on this isn't great. You have a lot of notes and many of them should probably have been escalated, but that's an argument for me to have elsewhere. However a lot of them are also the same thing - you pushing your luck on what you can get away with, and then pleading innocence in DMs. I really don't buy it any more. 

That I gave you a temp ban and not a perma job ban like I was thinking was me trying to be nice. Instead you then went and bragged about it in discord, I assume because the punishment was really rather lax. It's not a good look. This is pretty much reinforced with what you've typed here.

I will lift this as it's your first unban appeal, but it's with the understanding that second perma appeals are generally rather difficult, if not outright impossible to appeal. You're really close to being removed entirely. Got it?

Got it, i didn't grasp the severity of my notes, but i swear that i've learned all i could learn from this, and i'll be more grounded when it comes to in-game actions, as well as in the community.

I understand this is a black spot in my records, and it saddens me, but i'll do my best to show that i've improved because of it.
