Reason of Ban: Overally LRP antag behavior. This has been a longtime coming, and you have several warnings regarding this. You are playing your characters as a vessel to antag with, not as actual characters. Please take some time to try to establish yourself within the setting and try to create a real character. The RP will flow naturally after that. Once you have taken some time to get this sorted out, feel free to appeal on the forums. Reason of Appeal: I'll be real with you, from the start I saw this server as nothing more than a server to play antagonist on, even after repetitive antagonist appeals I never truly got what HRP was. When I previously got antagonist banned I took a break from SS13 for a couple months for even a year had almost passed by since I played on this server, and I did some thinking and I realize that LRP and HRP definitely aren't the same. I've been playing for a couple weeks now trying to improve my characters by actually grounding them and roleplaying, I even deleted the character Tim Bilbert as I don't think any type of roleplay could've occurred with it, and instead I've been playing this character: Johnathan Rogers; which followed Tim Bilbert's footsteps starting from an Assistant and going to Paramedic Trainee as to make the game easier to relearn and roleplay with. I write this appeal to know if I can start playing as antagonist again or continue improving my roleplay and characters. 1
Owen Posted December 8 Posted December 8 Hi there. This ban appeal reads similarly to you many previous ban appeals and you use similar explanations for the behavior leading to your eventual ban. Despite this being a year, I am hesitant in lifting this ban after being given so many chances in the past. I do not want this to be a situation where you are only attempting to play a good character in pursuit of getting this ban lifted, so I would like you to clarify a few things first: Why do you want to play antag again? What exactly to you see changing moving forward, and how to you plan to avoid falling into the same patterns of behavior as before?
QuietCowboy Posted December 8 Author Posted December 8 1. Playing as an antagonist has always been fun to me, and it's pretty much the whole reason I'm making this appeal in the first place. 2. I've noticed that whenever I wasn't an antagonist I would just be an asshole or even as an antag I'd be doing LRP gimmicks such as "oooh, I have a fatal disease, I need blooooood. I need to eat blooooood" as a vampire which is just lackluster out of the gates, and as I've read the player reports criticizing my roleplay it didn't seem anyone really enjoyed any of my characters/gimmicks as much as I did, which the whole point of antagonists in aurora station is to make the round more interesting. One of the reports mentioned me back to back respawning as antagonist which isn't really that fun to play with, so I'm gonna limit the amount of times I play antagonists to one per round and make sure I don't have antagonist prefrences on after an antag shift. On normal RP I'm just gonna focus on enriching my roleplay in my characters and to further them so I can make others and my rounds more interesting.
