Item Description: A simple labcoat with orange hem, this article shows the old Martian Union flag on the back in a field of phoronic purple, with an orange and red shoulder patch of the Lowell Red Coalition on the red shoulder, a set of chains around the Red Planet. On the left shoulder along the hem it reads in Martian Freespeak "Lowell Arcology". 

Why is your character bringing this item to work?: Edgar is a well known Red Martian, stemming back to the time of the Frost Invasion and more heavily in the events leading up to Violet Dawn. The Labcoat design was one of his favorites before he left the arcology and the modifications to put it on a purple background instead of it's original white helps be a memorial to all the Martians lost during the events.

How did your character obtain this item?: Edgar lived on the Lowell Arcology for the early part of his life and lived around and eventually worked in a few robotics teams before being hired by NT, with the labcoat being phased out due to new designs. Due to scavenging efforts in the Arcology being in an orange zone, the labcoat was found and reproduced, with Edgar helping fund some of the production along with other refugees from his home. 

What value does this item have to your character, and what story does it tell?: Alot. The coat design is one of few things able to be rescued of his younger days from his home, so not only have something that he can point back to where he came from as well a memorial of all his friends and family he lost is important to him.
