BYOND Key: (This is your Byond login/Ckey) I_speak_money

Total Ban Length: (The total time of your ban. You can also note your remaining time, though it is not required) 4320 minutes

Banning staff member's Key: (This is the staff member's BYOND key/Ckey who placed the ban) Bluespace_Cat

Reason of Ban: (You can see this when you attempt to log in to the server) As a hostage spent the entire time asking for cuffs to be remove to "fix" a bomb, as soon as uncuffed opening the valve suiciding to kill the antag. Ban applied for logging while talking to an admin and poor fear roleplay.

Reason for Appeal: (State your reason for why you think you should be unbanned)

Okay. I head out to the Outpost to collect a stun baton. I see the nuke op, and almost instinctively go to reach for my welder and click on the airlock. Unfortunately, it took me some time to realize that it wasn't a welder that I was welding the door with, but a crowbar. He comes by and e-mags the door and seizes me as a hostage. He mentions some ridiculousness about how this increases his chances of survival. He then proceeds to attack me a few times afterward, and when I asked to be uncuffed, he punches me a few more times for saying something stupid. He strips me of a PDA and a headset (note: telecommunications and PDA server were already down at this point | EXHIBIT A), and shows me this bomb that he has messed up. The details are hazy, but I remember him saying that he needed this thing to be fixed and be able to detonate with a signaller. I believe he also mentioned that he would release me if I had fixed the bomb. Not too sure on that last part, you might need to check the logs. Anyways, I go on to say that yes that I will fix the bomb for him. Note: at this point in time, I could actually fix the bomb for him. I had a ace signaller in my PDA, as well as another signaller in the bomb that was in my backpack at the time. He then proceeds to say some stupid shit about trust or whatnot, and how eager I was to do the task before him, et cetera.

point 1 - This was a simple transaction. I'd fix the bomb and he would let me go. I was more than capable to fix this bomb. He would uncuff me, and I would setup the bomb according to the way he wanted it.

He did not uncuff me. I don't know what the hell he was doing on his side of the client, but he went on to talk some shit, yada yada.

As he was dragging me elsewhere, I potentially realized that he was dragging me to my doom. I mention that his crew were already well on their way to leaving him behind and that this endeavor of his will get him killed.

No feedback. Whatsoever. I'm talking to a brick wall. The people who were ghosting can also confirm this.

He takes me into the storage room and proceeds to strip me down. He finds a stun revolver, the bomb, and some force gloves. He throws my stuff outside the airlock and goes off somewhere. During this time, I try taking the cuffs off. He comes back and tells me to fix the bomb (note: I don't have any of my tools on me, anymore. He's tossed them outside). He queries if I was up to any antics as I would need a remote signaller to get the job done.

I continue to tell him that I have one. He says he's already searched me, yada yada. He points his gun at me and tells me to show me with his hands. My cuffs were off at this point and I was just standing there. There was no notification indicating that I can walk. If I even moved an inch, he would empty a magazine into me. I warn him this several times and he says to show me with my hands as to where the signaller is.

point 2 - At this point, I realize that this person is unaware of the situation. My suspicions had already arisen from our previous interaction, but it is at this point in time that I realize that he's beginning to piss me off. There were multiple signallers on that Outpost: 1) ace signaller (PDA) 2) On the other bomb

I figure that this is just a way of my time talking to him. I pickup the cuffs off the floor and put them on. He seems rather satisfied with this outcome. He pulls me along, and somewhere in the middle, my internet cuts out. I press replay game to relog. This has happened several times the past few days and is nothing new. I also suspect this is the reason as to why I logged whilst talking to Bluespace. Note: he had already boinked me twice, and I replied to those boinks and there was no output from him in a while (multiple chat boxes later).

I come back on and see myself buckled to the chair. At this point, I'm fed up with this nuisance. He continues to harangue me about how he doesn't know how to fix a fucking bomb. This is elementary knowledge. Anyone should know how to do this. Whether he's a visitor from another server or not, this is a simple task to accomplish.

I tell him once again, that this is a simple transaction of life and repair. My life for the repair of this bomb. He finally gets it and proceeds to uncuff me. I see a bomb on the table in front of me. I ask him whether this is mine or whether this is his. He tells me why it matters, and I told him that I could salvage pieces from the bomb (read: remote signaller). He informs me that is in fact my bomb.

point 3 - I just won the lottery. This is my bomb. It's not the best bomb, but it's pretty damn good. What has his character proven to my character at this point? He's unpredictable. He's violent. He has little to no knowledge of the toys he's playing with. And guess what, now he has two of them. His and mine. Both of which will lead to catastrophic results. He already made clear to me upon first bagging me as a hostage, that he is a rebel amongst his team: "They wanted to go in peacefully" "FUCK IT IM TAKING HOSTAGES" "This is increasing my chances at survival".

So what do I do? What does the Iron Giant do when the missile comes back flying at the town? What does Batman do when the nuke is less than a minute away from detonation? What did Casey Jones do when he noticed there was a stalled freighter on the oncoming tracks? They sacrifice themselves for the betterment of everyone else. One life versus the lives of those still on the station. And that's what Rusty Houston did. He grabbed the bomb, moved two steps closer to the operative, and activated that fucking bomb.

Poor fear roleplay? I did my best, but you can only do so much when talking to a brick wall. Fixing the bomb and then killing myself? It didn't have to escalate to that. If had released me the second upon he himself proposing that idea , I would've reached for my PDA, handed it to him, and checked the signaller on the bomb, and been on my merry way. As time went on, the evidence was stacked against him. It would be unethical, inconsolable, and simply unthinkable to let him walk away with two bombs. Hell, with his interaction between me, who's to say he wouldn't just cap me right there on the spot? Huh? The dude was paranoid as fuck. He was jumpy. He was irrational. And he was dangerous . Let me reiterate: "They wanted to go in peacefully" "FUCK IT IM TAKING HOSTAGES" "This is increasing my chances at survival".
