Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question

Why do you wish to play this specific race: I want to play Unathi because I like having a variety of species to role play as. Unathi interested me because of their warrior like culture, and clan system. I've watched other Unathi players for a while, how they interact with each other, what they eat around the station, and how they do combat, props to the spear wielding Unathi. I would like nothing more then to interact with the other Unathi aboard the Exodus.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Role-playing a Unathi is different then a human in many ways, one being their social mannerisms, like them considering hugging to be what children do, instead twining their necks/tails and touching their muzzles. The way they express their emotion in different situations, like when they are irritated they might thump their tail on the ground. Their main diet relies on meat, because they do not get any nutrition from plants, and when they speak you can hear them hissing.

Character Name: Sirazi Guwan

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

Sirazi was hatched in 2424 to two Unathi from a small clan known as Azaksir, in Teht by the banks of the Moghresian Sea. Sirazi's father was killed when he was only four years old, in a fight for fishing territory along the Sea with an enemy clan. Being raised by his mother, not learning what he should have been taught about combat by his father, Sirazi grew up not wanting to learn how to fight. He instead spent his years fishing, and gathering food for his clan. When Sirazi first heard about the Izweski Space Program he questioned the need for it, and always asked around for the latest news about it. When he heard about the second attempt in 2438 of a rocket launch being successful he wondered what would come of it, soon coming to find out. A week after the second launch, Sirazi's clan leader gathered everyone in the camp grounds and said all males are expected to fight in the war that was being waged on the Izweski by clans across Moghes, age isn't an excuse to get out of it. Sirazi refused multiple times to fight in this war, knowing it would be his death surely since he never learned a thing about combat, he only had his instincts. The clan leader was not happy about this, brandishing Sirazi with the title of Guwan, and exiling him from the clan. Knowing he was in trouble if he didn't get out of the war grounds soon, Sirazi started to make his way to Skalamar and see if the shuttle ports he heard about were real, and maybe he could get out of Moghes for a new life, without war and death being all around. When he finally made it to Skalamar things were terrible, there were dead bodies all around, and many Unathi troops still fighting. Sirazi had to quietly sneak by the other Unathi who were fighting, into the city square. When he finally made it and saw a shuttle port about to take off, he ran with all he had and snuck into it quickly. Arriving in Mendell City, at the age of 15, Sirazi didn't know what to do at all. He was going hungry, hunting mice and other small creatures for food, until one night a police officer asked him why he's out on the streets so young, Sirazi telling the officer his story was surprised at his response. The officer told Sirazi he knew a few people who worked for the City Government and could have him put into an orphanage until he's the age of 18. Taking advantage of this, when Sirazi was in the orphanage he attended a small public school. By the time he was 18 he managed to get himself into a culinary college where he learned how to prepare many meals and recipes, eventually getting a bachelors degree in culinary arts by the age of 22. This is when he began working on the NSS Antlia as a full time chef, employed by NanoTrasen. He worked for 10 years on the Antlia, before being told he's getting transferred to a new Phoron Research Station, known as the NSS Exodus. Sirazi can still be found on the Exodus to this day, in the kitchen, preparing meals.

What do you like about this character?

I like that Sirazi was exiled from his clan having to use the "Guwan" title, being a dis-grace to other Unathi. I also enjoy the fact that he's not one of those Unathi who are just all about combat, he knows how to use his claws and his natural instincts but was never interested in learning all the fighting techniques and ways of the Unathi males.

How would you rate your role-playing ability? I think my role playing ability has definitely approved since my first time joining the server.

I do appreciate applications that show they understand the lore of the Unathi while being able to subvert it for the purpose of the character and not subverting for its own sake. Because of the lack of feedback your application stands on its own merit, and I think it's quality enough to trust you with a whitelist. Hopefully I'm able to pester the developers enough to give us plenty of fish-based foods to add a dash of little Moghes to the kitchen!
