Give The Detective A Security Belt And Pepperspray

Security belts improve my experience as detective quite a bit because it makes carrying a large amount of our gear easier, and I've observed that it's common for detectives to have to ask for permission to get a security belt. It would be a simple addition that makes our jobs a little easier.

Pepperspray would also be a good tool to give detectives a tool to escalate from a flash (suspect has eyewear) but when they're in a situation that it's not reasonable to shoot the person. A few times I've had people try to knock my shit up and they have glasses, so my only resort is to pull my gun, which makes everyone mad.

These two items I commonly have to take from security lockers. They provide a better detective experience. It would also prevent us from taking equipment from potential officers coming in late during a full shift, and prevent the situation where a particularly spiteful Warden or HoS demands they be returned or it's 'stealing' as a way to demean the detective.

This would be nice. Inventory management is basically hell as a detective because there's so much shit to carry. I haven't played the role in a while, but I wouldn't mind seeing them with a belt and spray.
