Why did you come to Aurora?:I have been looking for a server to play on, that has roleplay. Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?:Yes, I have. I have also played CMO on many other servers and have successfully been successful. Please provide well articulated and argumented answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about:Playing a desirable role. It should be about having fun playing a specific role. I have read the other whitelist applications, and honestly, I can't out write them. I would like to keep it nice and simple on this application. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?:The purpose of a Head of Staff is to keep control of their department, while getting the work done. They also should regulate their employees. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?:The responsibilities of whitelisted players are to strive to keep the head position that they play within the rules of the station, and to respect everyone. I will uphold these responsibilities to the best of my abilities and play as a mature head. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name:Artie Simons Character age:26 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs):Artie Simons, a man from Mars born and raised in the Capital. He has a wide variety of skills, mostly able to work quickly and efficiently. He was born from a rich family and has always gotten what he wanted. When he was 6 though, his mother was sucked into a singularity working as an engineer aboard an unknown space station. His father started going crazy and beat Simons. His father would then apologize the next morning and Artie would always accept it. But one frightful evening his father came home, incredibly drunk, Artie new what was going to happen, he was 12 at this point, he hid inside his mother's closet afraid that his father would hit him. His father stumbled into the room and Artie peeked out the door. There stood his father glorious in stature, with a stun baton in one hand a bottle whiskey in another. That was the final straw for Artie, he picked up his mother's wrench and hit his father over the head, but Artie wasn't finished, he kept smashing his father's head in, over and over without stopping, until he was out of breath. Of course he could not be evicted until he was 18 which he was then detained. Without flaw though, he learned his way through the law, and easily escaped maximum penalty and would only go to prison for 2 years. When he was 21 he became a lawyer and helped many "supposed" criminals walk. He pursued this career in fear of losing his father's fortune. In one of his cases a medical officer was detained for "supposedly" cutting apart bodies illegally. Artie was so intrigued by the gruesome details of this medical officer's descriptions of the human anatomy and the medicine behind keeping it healthy, that he decided to drop the case and pursue this new passion. By the time he was 24 he had become a very successful surgeon in the capital city becoming an illustrious Surgeon. When he was 25 though, he ran into a fellow by the name of Milo. Instantly they became friends and would always talk about law and about other security matters. When he asked Milo where he worked, Milo said, "Aboard a space station by the name of NSS Aurora." Instantly afterwards Artie signed up to board the station. Unfortunatly, he could not board the station in regards to his criminal history, so he set out to clear his name. Within 3 years his record went completely clean without a single trace of the horrific homicide he had committed. He boarded the NSS Aurora the following year and at age 31 he became a surgeon. He had dreams of becoming the most renowned CMO aboard the NSS Aurora. What do you like about this character?:I really love his backstory and his ingenious ability to work efficiently and quickly. What do you dislike about this character?:The fact that when he is tired he may not be as productive. Do you think this character is fit to be a Head of Staff? (Please note that Head characters must be over 30, unless given special clearance):Indeed he is. Why?:He has an incredible amount of medical experience and has lead many surgeries on Mars and many other medical emergencies. Please provide well articulated and argumented answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?:My roleplaying is fairly mediocre. I enjoy roleplaying though, and try to improve on it as much as I can. Extra notes:I know I may have previously "not" roleplayed efficiently before, but when it comes to being the CMO, I always try to keep my department ahead and always work to impress. I just enjoy playing CMO a lot. I also apologize for the long backstory, I love writing sometimes.

Gollee Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I find it unlikely that he went from being a practicing lawyer, to a very successful lawyer in three years, since medical school alone takes 3 years, and that spits you out as an intern.
