Why do you wish to play this specific race:

I want to play this race as I have had experience with this race on other servers, however I want to play this specific race as I find their entire culture interesting and almost enthralling, I believe that this race would be a perfect fit for me as I believe they have an interesting backstory to their home world and how they can be played on the station. I think that I would be able to play this race quite well. I would play as a Moghean Unathi and I would follow the normal customaries for Moghean Unathi, and I believe it will be a endeavour into a new and interesting roleplay avenue.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:

Roleplaying this species is different to roleplaying a human as they have a much more aggressive tone to things that annoy them and they have tails and scales that allow them express emotions better and this would open a way of expressing myself/itself. This race would also be different as I'd be more accustomed to certain areas on the ship. I would also be better at security jobs and would be able to do jobs that require more strength. I also like the fact that they have strong honour for those of their race and people. This is why I believe they would be a better suited race for me. It adds an interesting twist to the character and adds a new layer of roleplay to the already infinite layers.

Character Name: Ackin'on Ky'rat

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

Ackin'on Ky'rat was born in Skalamar Mogheas, as a white albino he was a strange sight to most Unathi who saw him, as those he hung around with had never seen an Unathi, of his colour. He grew up to be quite a bulky in stature and was immediately noticed to be the perfect size for a security detail. He was encouraged by those around him to join a training camp where he would learn where to fight and shoot. He was set to guard a nanotreason, shuttle, that was sabotaged by a double agent. Putting him into a coma, when he woke up (2 years later) he realized he had lost his left arm, inconveniencing him as he was left handed, this meant sadly that he would lose his job in security. This is when he decided to take on science as he was always interested by robotics and going aboard a space station.

When he entered an education program to learn about being a roboticist as he was always interested in science, and possibly helping people, by giving them a prosthetic limbs. This was always his dream, though not showing this attitude in the past, he was transferred from station to station until he reached the NSS Aurora, where he now will rest for a while helping out the station if he can. He honours those close to him and prefers to talk to the select few people he has got close to, as trusting someone is hard for him.

What do you like about this character?

I like that my character has so much to share with people but he refuses to share any detail about it, as he is stubborn and isn't open to many people. This will allow me to slowly get closer and closer to friends as they slowly learn more about me, and in the process, I will learn more about them. I like how he is honourable to those he deems so.

How would you rate your role-playing ability?

I would rate my RP around an 7.8/10 as I believe I am quite a good role-player but sometimes I can zone out for moments,

Hello! I'm sorry for the delays. I am a day later than I said I would respond.

Your application has no feedback, so I can only go by it on its own merits. Now, your Unathi is said to be a firm traditionalist and a believer in the old fashioned way of doing things. But this seems compromised by his work in robotics. How does his prosthetics and work in robotics impact his faith and vice versa? Sk'akh believe strongly that robotic prosthesis, and robotics in general, are severely harmful to one's own soul.

Ackin'on is reluctant to work for a department such as robotics because of his past but he was attracted to robotics as he already was learning bits and pieces when the doctors were trying to pursuade him to get a new arm. This made it so that Ackin would like to get to know the history of robotics and, possibly, the future of robotics. Ackin was interested in following this path. In Ackin's current state of mind he is around 45 years old... And he is getting fed up of having a single arm and he is edging towards getting a new arm. This is why he now has a better interest in robotics. While he does get some discrimination for his actions to become a roboticist, he stays loyal in every other way. Those he knows are trying to make him not get a new prosthetic arm. But Ackin's choices are his own.
