NoahKirchner Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Have the surface level contain some catwalk-esque areas where you can see down to the lower level and have falling blocked off with railings. This would add some more pizazz to the surface level I'd say, and could make for some interesting situations (like holding someone hostage, threatening to throw them over) I'm not sure how plausible this is, but if it is possible I think it'd be pretty neat.
Munks Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 I actually think the "industrial" sectors of the station (engineering and cargo) would benefit greatly from being more open in this sense. We haven't taken nearly as much advantage of the multi-level system as we could have and things just feel unnaturally segmented for a multi-level site.

NebulaFlare Posted August 5, 2017 Posted August 5, 2017 Cargo spans three floors, while engineering spans two. Although I'd argue that Engineering's perk is more of a 'Ooooh, omnious dark tunnels everywhere, and fix up sekrit rooms!" Cargo could totally go for mutli-levels and catwalks. Their miners are always falling down holes anyway.
