Why do you wish to play this specific race:

I've always had an interest in Insect like races in Scifi, from the least insect like being the Wraith from Stargate to the most being the 'Buggers' from Enders Game (Haven't seen more insect like and minded then them) and i enjoy creating my own scifi races in my spare time, a lot of them becoming insect like with and without hive minds. I would also like the chance to play as this race specifically for the Security roll because i have been learning how to play security and i would like to try it as a non-human for a different view point.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:

For a start the Vaurca would open up a different state of mind for interacting with criminals and threats to the station, they are also one of the...probably most discriminated against races and having one as a member of the security staff would be interesting to see "Why are you letting this Vaurca arrest me!? Get someone else to do it!". I thin playing the Vaurca would be a challenge due to them not being able to recover from brute damage, and if they get flashed they go blind so a security officer would have to be both careful and very offensive when apprehending suspects.

Za'Akaix'Zezez Zo'ra

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

Zezez has been been security for the Za'ra hive for much time now and, following their agreed directive as a Warrior to protect the hive they are loyal too, begrudgingly moved between active hives (Notably New Gibson, the Hive Ship sitting in Tau Ceti). Eventually the hive was contacted by Nanotrasen to order a new shipment of Vaurca to assist in the construction and maintenance of the stations and with them Zezez was sent to oversee several Bound. Now that he was out of the hives he would see a chance to have a little freedom from the hive to stretch his legs and pursue some of their own goals, one is to become a Security Officer with the humans rather then a cadet.

Now Zezez has been drafted into the Aurora station's Security staff as a Cadet, granted they tended to be shunned and spoken down to when they were assigned to an officer. They have been noted to be rather forceful towards Criminals who don't comply and they has been told not to be so aggressive as this does not work on a station where there are more species then the Vaurca. Overall Zezez has the potential to be a good security member but can be annoying to deal with, loosing his its temper when they are talked down to, too often, but at the end of the day they get the job done and they haven't had a serious incident with unnecessary violence to date.

What do you like about this character?

I like the idea of making a Vaurca that's fed up with being trodden on and beaten down, yet they know they need to work to keep alive so they do it...Barely within the line of the law and sometimes outside of it when they loose their temper. Fun times! Hard play!

How would you rate your role-playing ability?

I've been role playing for 11 years now. I'd say its pretty good.

I've seen your Diona before on station(with good interactions) and believe you have a clear idea of what you want this character to be. You were also very cooperative when asked to make changes and that shows a clear willingness to fit in with the environment of the server and to roleplay the character in an appropriate manner.

I will go ahead and approve it, though due to some technical issues I'm unable to go ahead and actually set the whitelist for you right now but I will get a staff member to go ahead and do that for you.
