  1. BYOND key: Vuk Farkas Specie that is applied for: Dionae I have read the lore and i am familiar with it (from other servers too) Reason i desire to play as dionae, is because of the fun that can be had with it. I played as a diona on other servers ( i was mostly known as a pipe smoking diona in a firesuit, with a hardhat on, usually with a flamethrover in the backpack (for self defense, and pest extermination); and hellish molotovs if station was under attack, scavenging the station and space, doing ghetto tinkering and repairs (basically being useful and filling in, so for example engineers can focus on the engine and more important stuff than fixin lights, fuses and wires). Lets just say i was a very suprising and interesting "plant-man" that often tutored newcomers, and did what other dionae wouldnt do, and that is use fire! (on most servers dionae had only one (extreme) weakness and that is fire, besides being painfully slow). If i wasnt exploring or helpin arround the station, i would be usually gardening... (oh the irony a "plant-man" botanist) or restoring a derelict into a tiny functional station, which explorers, tinkerers, and scientists usually visited, especially to conduct experiments that were not allowed on station, or were too dangerous (that way those on station are safe, and we can do things without ruining the game for others, if somethin goes wrong (like accidents while training a newbie chemist, botanist or engineer) RPing dionae is wery different than RP-ing a human... For starters, dionae do not fear death, nor pain, they can survive almost anywhere, with just a light/radiation source for food, they can be excellent support when all goes to hell (even if they are slow, they can be unstoppable in skilled player hands). Example the most known use for dionae is in engineering, since they dont need mag boots, or suits, or internals to protect from vacuum of space, radiation (and depending on the code toxins too), they save on medical bills, since they heal on their own mostly. Another well known use is exploration, since dionae can eat and heal from just a flashlight, while a human would have to carry a lot of equipment just to survive! Dionae also speak in plural, since a gestalt is actually a group of nymphs, workin together as one (shame dionae cant evolve into small spacestations like in the lore...) Diona character Name: Howl-Creak Howl-Creak got their name by the most common sounds where they were found, a mostly destroyed derelict, which was often visited by scavengers, pirates, smugglers, and... "discrete goverment people". The derelict was often repaired, at least just enough to temporarily sustain usually human life; but the poor condition it was in would cause ventilation to howl like wind, and metal would creak under stress every time someone was forcing a door open, docking, or fixin up the gravity generator! Howl-Creak learned the jurry-riggin type of engineering, basic repairs and has shown, albeit slow, talent in gardening. Also after experiencing the devastation that fire can cause (after a plasma canister got hit in a firefight during a clash between raiders and scavengers) Howl-Creak became fascinated with it. Fire if handled properly would be a great food source, tool, and weapon. Fire emitted light which they need to survive, fire would melt metal which they could trade as scrap for knowledge or equipment, fire burned beings too! Howl-Creak departed his derelict as a pest exterminator on a scavenger ship... He would exterminate rats and other "pests" with a flamethrower and molotovs which they learned to make and brew on the ship from a ghetto engineer and chemist. Howl-Creak never fully learned to integrate into strictly controlled space stations, but such places would often need and have use of pest exterminator and scavenging services, thus space stations tolerated Howl-Creaks unusual way of work (at least until they were finished). What i like about this character, is that they are unusual in all aspects, even for a dionae! The antics they do, like searching for a derelict to restore it to relatively functional state (well functional enough to sustain dionae at least, later fixin it up more to attract more people, with whom they can trade knowledge and resources). Using fire as food, tool, and weapon; which is unusual for someone weak to fire... And best of all managing in space, where others have given up!
