Like Bay, like Aurora, Cybs. Another community you'll drive into the ground. Let that one sink in. I don't want to be a part of the community anymore, on second thought. Maintain it, mirror it in the server, do whatever. Not sorry. Both you and Alb are actual garbage-tier administrators and I won't ever apologize for that. o7 god bless

"Beginning to harass"? Just like you saw me "beginning to" heinously violate the rules last time you attempted to moderate me and began throwing out accusations that were demonstrably false? So, to clarify here, you didn't actually ban me for anything other than what you thought might happen? Because I definitely hadn't done anything other than mention a previous conversation. Correct me if I'm wrong though, please.

Admittedly, the name of the ship is unimportant, but it was pitched as an idea to make people feel like they weren't stuck with a certain name because they couldn't vote for another candidate that they'd have rather had and potentially tipped the scales for that one to win (e.g., option A has 40%, option B has 35%, option C has 25% - so C would be dropped, and then B might end up with 55% vs 45%) The whole thing only even stemmed from him getting upset that I didn't believe any forum timetable, because I've seen far, far too many planned SS13 timetables fall apart for x, y, and z reason. God fucking forbid someone display skepticism regarding timetables, but apparently it's such a hot-button topic that the same mod that got positively upset that I ran by someone in a dark maintenance tunnel and didn't see them only to immediately bwoink me with accusations and claims that were false decided to throw a permaban out. Coincidence, that. I'd like to not have the cherrypicked messages only from myself, if Wick is going to post things. Post what the context of them; what was said prior and after. If the most egregious thing I did, and what you call 'particularly charged' are me telling him to run his mental gymnastics however he needed to, then it's no wonder you leap straight to accusing people of false things and disrupting an ongoing round that certainly didn't necessitate an immediate bwoink mid-crisis. And now, I'm going off on a tangent - so let's veer riiiiight back into the meat of the issue. Yes, I quoted Alb from December when he struck me. Yes, I did tell him that it took months, because he acted like the idea I had was terrible because the map would be done before then. Shocker, it was not. Is it petty? You might argue that. Was it shitty? No. Telling me that I should've been more respectful when the first reaction is 'COPE'? Yeah, okay buddy. Because you wouldn't take offense if someone answered you in a ticket with 'COPE'. Sure thing.

The point made by Alberyk - or, at least, what I came away with, was everything would be up and running within a few months, so the whole premise of my idea of just doing several votes, a week long each, and dropping the least-voted ship name each week, was pointless. I maintained it wasn't, and that I figured the tests and map creation would be several months out still. So I nudged a few months later and pointed out that it did take several months, so his whole thing about the time it would take to do the vote was moot. I'm not even sure what was hostile or negative about bringing it up? It's worth mentioning that, just because I don't post every day, does not mean I don't check the Discord from time to time.
-
Do what you need to.
-
If the strike is gone, then I don't care. It's a moot point. The other complaint would be the only one I really care about.
-
Ah, because I don't spend all my time on the Discord and only comment on things relating to a huge event (a map change), I'm not allowed to give feedback, or suggest that you use (and have ample time to do so, as the NBT still isn't out) a style of voting that might take awhile, but would ultimately be a more 'fair' result and allow for people to consolidate their votes toward a ship name they want? The result was rather unpopular at the time. I said that I don't trust timelines because, inevitably, something comes up, a delay arises, et cetera - it happens all the time. And that is 'arguing in bad faith'? Alright. Complaint stands, didn't argue in bad faith, didn't even argue, you simply couldn't cope with someone that doesn't believe in release dates, and I'd like to know on what grounds it is strikable to express doubt of an 'official' timeframe.

BYOND Key: N/A - Discord Staff BYOND Key: N/A - Discord Game ID: N/A - Discord Reason for complaint: Permabanned for protesting a strike issued for 'arguing in bad faith' regarding the NBT taking months to be ready (which was a statement made in December of last year) Evidence/logs/etc: Additional remarks: Yeah, I dunno. See the following thread. Apparently I'm stirring shit up when I come back months later to point out that I was right and I ask for a strike that I was given for 'arguing in bad faith' to be removed - the subject of 'arguing in bad faith' being that the NBT would take months to be released.
-
The request came following it, then - regardless, a double standard exists in your mind of how you expect others to treat you, and how you treat others. Consider this complaint about the strike given then, and I'll make -another- about the Discord ban.

Additional remarks: Explain to me how I 'keep coming to this Discord just to stir shit up' when I come back after a few months to protest a strike given poorly, if not unfairly, especially when what I said proved to be accurate and true? Either way, uphold it and perma me from the server, or undo it. I've not stirred shit up, and I challenge you to show that I was ever intending to just randomly 'stir shit up'. I requested the strike to be removed, and his response was a GIF of 'cope'. Perhaps Alberyk should cope a little better with being wrong, but it is what it is.

The red's a bit too purple, isn't it? Or is it just me? It really doesn't look very.. 'red'.

My God. This is beautiful. I would vastly prefer this over the 15 minute max-tech speed run.
-
This, honestly. We cram fire/atmosphere lockdowns into everything, everywhere, that I genuinely think it's worth exploring to have normal glass in the internal areas - at least low/medium "security" areas that don't warrant having reinforced glass.
-
What are the odds of moving away from having so much reinforced glass on interior windows? Am I the only one that finds it a little odd that reinforced glass is just used everywhere?

I do not. The third picture with the CMO PDAing me shows me hacking through the janitor's closet to get to the cooling array more quickly, because that's how fast I was trying to get there to save the person that I understood to be in space still - not up on the level above it. I believe almost immediately after the PDA message was when the first PM came. -

Upgrade it to a ban if you feel it's warranted. My complaints stand. You dove into it without even taking a minute to watch and see how it would end. You were accusatory and not helping the situation in a shitshow of a round. It was an absolute shitshow of a round. Code red, beacons, breaches, rogue synths, traitors. You name it. It happened. You nitpicked purely IC issues from an OOC standpoint (By God, the Chief Engineer dragged someone? A crime against sapient life everywhere. How dare someone not make the perfect move in-character by carefully grabbing and moving them around.) Yes, by that point, I was entirely tunnel-visioned on them, someone saying they were dead, me telling them they weren't, then fumbling with getting them up a ladder. The only way I can interpret this whole situation of your involvement was, I wasn't playing the game like you would have. God fucking forbid I try to contribute to the in-game environment with other players and give people things to work with, a character to interact with in a command position, etc. I get easily frustrated. I limit my frustration as best I can. I'm more than happy to admit I'm not infallible, which is more than a lot of people probably do. Edit: As you can see in my copy of the logs, I didn't see ANY of the pain emotes. None. Not a single one. -

Almost forgot. Shittalking it in msay and leaking it in dead chat on accident is very epic, though, and totally doesn't aggravate the situation more. -
BYOND Key: NodNodNod Staff BYOND Key: WickedCybs Game ID: cd0-ahYk Reason for complaint: Causing an issue when there wasn't one / inflammatory accusations Evidence/logs/etc: Logs as follows, for your convenience [02:48:25] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: Man [02:48:33] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: Hm? [02:48:42] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: You really ran past a dying person, dived down and grabbed that laser rifle? [02:48:48] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: I didn't see them? [02:49:00] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: they were right in front of you [02:49:06] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: I.. literally don't see them. [02:49:21] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: Am I blind? Where? [02:49:26] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: Not only were they in front of you, they were in your logs while you were up there man [02:49:40] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: Like, eh. At least you didn't ignore them on purpose then. [02:49:40] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: wtf are you talking about I didn't see anything [02:50:01] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: I can show you my logs on my end, there's NOTHING, nobody [02:52:50] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: Okay all I can really say in this case is to like, really. You were getting red logs too of the dragging doing damage. You know grabbing them prevents that right? [02:53:10] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: I'm not going to talk to you about this in the middle of it. PM me later. [02:53:19] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: Message me when you're free, yes. [02:55:02] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: I will say, if you're going to insinuate that I somehow knew there was a fucking gun on the cooler and ran out to it and just ignored a person dying, you're a terrible moderator. It's a dark maintenance shaft and the air was pushing everyone and everything around. I have no log on my end of anything when I ran by them. I pulled them at first to get them out of an airless area, which will kill more quickly than the brute. So, let's hash this out: what's the problem? [02:55:53] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: No that wasn't what I was insuinating at all, please pay attention. [02:56:14] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: The timeline as I saw it was, you ran in, ran past the officer as they were gasping. It's fair that you didn't pay attention to that considering like I said. [02:56:38] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: You went down one level, you run out and grab the levle. You start running around with it. [02:56:53] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: PM -> [Moderator PM] WickedCybs: You really ran past a dying person, dived down and grabbed that laser rifle? [02:57:05] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: I said you grabbed that laser rifle yes [02:57:11] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: Well, yes, I picked it up and RAN AROUND LOOKING FOR THE PERSON. [02:57:17] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: If you're taking that as me saying you knew it was there, I do not know what to tell you. [02:57:27] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: Then why are you accusing or telling me anything? [02:58:09] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: Because how that appeared was pretty easily a bad look. I'm following up on what I'm being told. [02:58:16] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: I already acknowledged you didn't ignore them on purpose then. [02:59:00] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: Pulling to get them out of an airless area was fine, then you continued to doing it and I counted a lot of drag damage to the point you expedited their death. [02:59:12] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: So what I'm saying is, just be more careful with that. [02:59:33] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: You're fucking nitpicking minor things. I want a different moderator to handle this. Or one of the admins. [02:59:55] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: You don't get to admin shop. If you have an issue with how I handled i, make a complaint against me on the fourm please. [03:01:16] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: I'm not admin shopping. You're literally nitpicking an IC issue from an OOC perspective of someone being dragged an extra six tiles. [03:01:58] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: Admin shopping is when you try to get someone else to handle the ticket, you're making an issue where there is none here. [03:02:51] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: I'll be noting that. Again. If you feel strongly about it, make a staff complaint and somoene else will review this. [03:03:12] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: I'm not dealing with you since you're trying to make this into some issue that isn't even in existence. You can note everything you want on your little mod panel. [03:03:24] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: What is the round ID? [03:03:36] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: You can check that in the status bar. [03:03:52] nodnodnod -> wickedcybs: Thanks, you can close the ticket now if you're done. Additional remarks: I'm playing Chief Engineer. It's a shitshow of a round. Every synth is rogue. There's someone bombing the station. Someone shot someone with a rocket launcher. Engineering is understaffed, and I'm running across the station constantly putting fires out. Near the end of the round, there was a callout that an officer got spaced by one of the rogue borgs on the engineering cooling array. I go down, and I didn't see someone in a dark maintenance tunnel, and was bwoinked by a bored mod that declared I was intentionally ditching a dying person to run down to the area they were reported to be to look for them. They then insinuate I ditched them to go after shiny loot. I deny it. I go on to tell them that bothering me right in the middle of time-sensitive issues isn't working, though since they died right about that exact time, it didn't actually matter anymore and I gave up trying to keep track of command / engineering / alarms / general / the rogue robots / the rogue AI / the distress beacon and just focused entirely on the bwoink, even going so far as to give up on playing in the round any further and cryo in the middle of the crisis. Am I peeved at this point? In the words of Walter White, "You're goddamn right." Instead of backtracking and dropping the issue, he doubles down on an IC issue of me dragging the person out of the airless area for the speed of it, which to his credit he acknowledges, but then he nitpicks that I kept doing it, and as far as I can tell, I only caused two more instances of pull damage because, again, I'm shuffling a hundred things and now a hundred and one with a moderator PMing me in the middle of it. The funny part about all of this? If he didn't bwoink me, I would've gone back up the ladder more quickly instead of spending so long on the solar array and Sokolova PROBABLY would've survived - but I digress. The screenshots below show the damage. They show the player in question was cool and understanding of it, knowing that sometimes you miss stuff. Attached as well are the logs of where WickedCybs claims I saw them. I didn't. I'm not sure if it's incompetency or the logs just aren't functioning right. WickedCybs displayed minimal tact as a moderator in leaping straight to an accusation of something, and I'm willing to bet it wasn't even adminhelped, but I can't confirm or deny that. WickedCybs contradicted themselves in the conversation, denying they insinuated I just ignored a critical person for epic laser rifle loot (because that's what I fucking want as a CE) ([02:48:42] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: You really ran past a dying person, dived down and grabbed that laser rifle?, [02:49:00] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: they were right in front of you, [02:49:26] wickedcybs -> nodnodnod: Not only were they in front of you, they were in your logs while you were up there man) Honestly, it's turning into a ramble at this point, so I'm going to cut it short: I did literally nothing wrong, the player that was apparently wronged didn't seem to feel they were wronged, and all that came of it was WickedCybs making an issue of nothing, telling me I can't admin shop when I want to talk to someone else about the issue, and telling me like some clipboard-wielding safety-patrol that sees someone running at the pool, "I'll be noting that!" Are you trying to be inflammatory? Are ya' trying to peeve someone? It's working. Bluntly put, very shitty to take a shit on someone dealing with a shitshow of a round.
-
Would the ghost/ prefix not attach if someone was in their corpse while talking, maybe?

I have no idea why it's not popping up, but it was definitely said. There must be something wrong with the logifier. Regardless, they flip-flopped and gave conflicting reasonings for suicide bombing to the point I felt like they were full of manure, and were simply saying anything they could to justify maxcapping everyone in an epic gamer moment. There was a decent bit of confusion about why he would even suicide bomb and kill his own squad too - really, a lot of confusion all around about motivations. Enough that "we have cyanide pills" wasn't a very good reasoning, and I took the bait and called it out and got rather peeved with the flippant, nonchalant attitude about it.
-
Upon further review (thanks to Discord brits), I've learned that apparently mong means someone with Down's syndrome. I've only ever heard it used to call people stupid or dumb, and genuinely didn't know that. Regardless, I'll leave the appeal of the decision up, and admit that I inadvertently used a slur without realizing it. My bad on that one! TIL.
-
I'm not really sure what point you're attempting to make here, nor why you're publicizing other notes that are almost entirely unrelated. There was no intentionally ill OOC behavior prior - what it was was me simply assuming that IC insults were just -that-. IC insults. If poor OOC behavior constitutes calling someone a mong when they suicide bomb everyone, I can almost certainly find worse incidents from others that had gotten no punishment whatsoever. So, again, I'm not really sure what you're saying here. That I had a character that used homophobic insults? I changed the character to comply with server rules, no issue, no complaints, even apologized about it. Regardless of all of that, I still feel the warning was heavy-handed and overzealously applied, and would like the incident reviewed by other staff members that aren't involved in the situation.
-
An in-character insult with no OOC malice, and when told that IC insults of that type aren't permitted, I haven't done it again. It is important to differentiate IC and OOC.
-
BYOND Key: NodNodNod Staff BYOND Key: alberyk Game ID: Unknown, probably unimportant, timestamp in screenshot. Reason for complaint: Overzealous use of 'warning' Evidence/logs/etc: See attached images. Additional remarks: Huivn was playing a mercenary that was part of some Zheng-Hu bio-team or something, because it was that awful roundtype of mercenary + borers. One of the borers made the decision to be very obvious very early in the round, and it became obvious we had an issue with several borers on the station. Round progresses decently along, some scuffles, some slug kills, et cetera, until the ZH team starts talking about kidnapping a slugged member of ISD instead of letting them get the surgery done. Obviously, ISD is not on board with this, and we all move to medical to prevent the abduction and to get the surgery complete. I'm standing in the OR with another officer while a doctor tries to operate on the one that is slugged when Huivn's merc comes in, stating once to "Move." The reply given was, "No." His reply to that was to pull a gun and start pointblank magdumping with lethals. Despite being shot in the head many times, I survive (ultimately pointlessly) and he gets disarmed by another officer. Seeing as he has no gun and knows he has 'lost', he elects to detonate a TTV in medical, blowing up myself, the other officer, the slugged officer, two members of the merc team, himself, and I believe two doctors - effectively ruining the round. His response when called out for it can be seen in one of the attached images, to which I replied with the 'offending comment'. I maintain that the action was incredibly stupid and his reasoning provided more-so, since he elaborated that "he wasn't going to let the slug survive at any cost"... when we were destroying the slugs in the first place, and he had previously stated he wanted the slug to survive anyway. Naturally, due to his flip-flopping on his explanation, I invoked the use of the word 'mong'. Maybe it wasn't nice, but it certainly wasn't a clusterbomb insult and hardly worthy of an actual warning. I have little doubt I can find instances of actual toxic behavior, or more severe insults getting no warning, and I do believe consulting my notes will reveal that I seldom insult players on an OOC level (if I ever even have, but I've been here for too long to remember all the inane dumb stuff that happens).
