So, I was literally trying to sleep but instead my brain wanted to create a game mode.
The Contractor
You got this, although it was way too fast and unexpected, but the corporate-representative you were contacting has told you that they were able to bribe a sizeable amount of crew members for this shift. These corrupted ones will obey you as far as they don't get themselves prejudiced in the process. They were described of your characteristics, they will recognize you and try to make themselves available.
Unfortunately you do not know who are your contractees due to the speed of the entire transaction and you will need to find them to use them in whatever was your motive to bribe the crew of the station.
The Corrupted
It was too good of a deal, to simply "do some little things" that would not get you in any trouble? Easy. If you contractor commands you to do anything that you think will get you in any significant trouble you can simply say no. But you will still need to cooperate with him to get that sweet payment, and it was said that if you did not cooperate enough you would get nothing, furthermore you did hear some implications of bad things to you on this case.
You were only able to take a quick glance of a blurred image and has been told some aspects of him, but you will surely be able to know who he is once you see him.
Apparently the contractor does not even know that it was you that he bought, so you will need to make yourself known to him.
See see, the contractor will have some goal and will use the corrupted crew members to achieve it.
Both will need to recognize each other in the start of the round, the corrupted knowing who is the contractor by an icon (like that one from the revolution) and the contractor not knowing who his contractees are until they give a hint.
It is supposed that the contractor propose stuff that his contractees can do that will, in some way, create a situation in which the contractor or the other contractees can do some other thing to fulfill the goal.
Scene examples:
The contractees do not, initially, know each other, the contractor may or may not want to reveal one to the other.
The contractor has no access to any syndicate items as to increase interaction with the crew to get stuff. -But he could have access to some items, gimmick items, like a toy revolver or hacking stuff to give himself and his people more alternatives to do stuff.
I initially thought that 1/3 of the crew being contractees would be great, but I also think that this could be too much and the contractor would not be able to use everyone. Or we could do a pair of contractors, each one has its own group of contractees.
We could maybe also put some "uncorrupted" in the middle, crew members that know that there is a scheme going on. They are just going to be more skeptical with everything as he can't say "You have been bought!", as the answer would be a plain "No". But that depends on the thing that i'm not sure...
How will the contractor communicate with its contractees? Direct PDA message? That can be discovered if searched and would put more danger in the mind of these corrupt people. Or the contractor would need to plan a lot more in advance and talk face to face.
A separate channel in which the contractor can message each one of the contractees individually, the contractees must give one item (contract token?) to the contractor and when he puts the thing in his modified PDA he can talk without a trace with the contractee.
Or the contractor PDA is such that he can send anonymous messages to anyone, these are auto-deleted after certain time (or no?) and the receiver can answer back too (or no?)
As I said, I was literally trying to sleep as I thought of this so yes, ...yes. Does it sounds fun?
We can also throw it together with other gamemodes (a vampire contractee??)
