I've been playing on aurora for over a week. I would say that I've been playing for around 3-4.

Have you read our lore section's page on this species?:
Yes. The lore behind SS13 and the server in general is extremely interesting to me, but the Dionae in particular caught my eye. The way the move, act, and grow is just breathtaking to me. It seems great to be able to play as a slower more detached from itself character. Specifically one that isn't human.

Why do you wish to play this specific race:
I want to play as a Diona because the way they are portrayed in their lore is very intriguing to me. I want to be able to expand on that and build a character that people will like to RP with. The thought of having my own Diona character has been something I've been sitting on for a while, specifically on this server. I decided to get myself more familiar and comfortable in the server setting, and I believe i'm ready to take on the responsibility of an alien character.
Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:
The reason Dionae are different from humans is mainly because of their learning process, and how they view themselves and the world they exist in. They're slower, less reactive to situation generally, and are curious as well. That, to me, is something I would really like to experience with others. I feel as if playing as a Diona will breathe new life into the RP i'm trying to achieve.
Why does this species in particular hold your interest?
The Dionae hold my interest because of their particularly peculiar way of life. The fact that they are composed of multiple beings, and have no general society or home-planet is very exciting for me. It makes me feel as if I have a blank slate to work with. Their general peaceful and nonviolent way of being is great, and I feel like that could greatly add to RP.

Course of Earthen Fury
Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs
Falling Sky, originally grown on the station was "fathered" by Milton Schrader, one of the station's engineers playing botanist for a short time. During this time there we semi-frequent meteor showers as Falling Sky traveled around the station gathering knowledge and exploring his new place of being. After a while he found a keen interest in the anatomy and psychology of other beings, and is attempting to get employed in the Medical department.
What do you like about this character?
I like this character because of the way I originally created him. I intended him as morally curious and questioning the presence of several social and psychological experiences that the humans on the station partake in. I found myself mostly in the med bay. From there I decided that it would be nice to play a Diona that has an interest in the medical field.
How would you rate your role-playing ability?
I would say that my ability to roleplay can vary from situation to situation, but overall I'm good at it. I've been interested in roleplay since a young age, and I really think this server is one I'd like to stick on for a while. Being a Diona would just make it that much better.
