You had multiple chances and were told a perm ban would be incoming. You can appeal at any time however it won't be considered most likely until after november 1st 2019. Reason for Appeal: So i messed up, i was curious if it was possible to run people over with the trolly, and i went ahead and did it not once, but twice. My stupid streak didn't stop there, i lied about it because i knew a ban was coming my way, but after that fact lingered for a bit i was honest about it, said i lied. I personally believe that the four month ban has taught me a good lesson, i stepped away from SS13 as a whole and i've decided to come back, being banned sucks, a-lot.

Maybe i'll try to appeal in 3-5 years, maybe by then i can have some severs back me up. if i even remember to do it. I have nothing else to say.

Yeah, they did because i made the staff complaint. They had no intention of telling me in my ban appeal. My question is why.

Still doesn't explain why they simply said i wasn't going to be un-banned.

There might not be any thing shady about it, however it certainly seems like it. When did alb tell you not to unban me? Why does he have such a opinion? I certainly think he has never dealt with me, so why can he simply say I wont be unbanned, ever? I think there shouldn't be one person who decides that.

This one, why did you say that instead of simply saying i've had enough chances? or that alberyk said to not let me back? Seems pretty shady.

So what about the staff complaint? Why did drago make up a story when they could of just said what you said, alberyk?

So instead of simply saying i wont be able to come back, on top of my ban notes, i was mislead into thinking i had one last chance?

And how would i get that trust back?

So even if i provided proof that i changed, i was set up to not be un-banned?

Reason for complaint: I made a ban appeal, stating my plan for better behavior, agreeing with my punishment, and stating that lying is never the way to go. I want to make it clear that i understand that making a ban appeal does not mean anything. I fully understand this fact, however the way they responded made me feel as if they gave no effort in reading my ban appeal. I also feel as if they were being flippant in their response. I get how it looks, i have several perma bans, and i'm on my next one. However i clearly stated the fact that i reflected on my behavior, noticed a pattern, or a trend, and i stated my plan to not allow the trend to continue. As lying was a key factor in my ban (Along side with my actions) i did not want to promise that i would never get in trouble again. I can't predict the future nor can i guarantee my actions in the future. I did however state that i had a plan to 'combat' the natural trend that I've noticed. In my opinion that is the best appeal i could make, and i feel like it got shot down on the simple premise that the banning admin had the power to deny it. There was no attempt to have me go into detail, my plans to keep myself out of trouble, there was not even an attempt to humor my idea, and that is why i felt like the admin made no attempt to read, or even consider my appeal. Evidence/logs/etc: Additional remarks: I feel as if noticing the reason i keep getting banned is a good enough step in the right direction to warrant another chance in itself. However i also spent the time to find the cause, and the eventual effect of my actions, and i even made a plan to prevent future incidents from happening. I will gladly share my ''checklist'' that i have made, in the event that i do get un-banned.

That quote above, is my plan to keep myself un-banned. By playing less, and not getting bored of the general drama of rounds, i believe i can behave and enjoy rounds for what they are. And i won't feel the need to push the rules.

And why it was a stupid thing to do with foresight I felt like i was already on thin ice, and for some reason i thought that the slight chance that i could get away with what i did was better than the ''fact'' that i was being banned. I put fact in quotations because if i told the truth, and i was genuinely sorry for what i did, i MIGHT of got a warning, or a note, or even a temporary ban. Either way it was a dumb decision, after an equally dumb action. Lying has never worked before in my experiences as a person, why did i think it would work here? i have no idea. It won't happen again because lying is generally a bad idea in all walks of life. Second of all, running over a crew member was a bad move. like a really bad move. I didn't think it was a thing, and i tried to get somebody to lay down so i can test it, and like anybody else would say, they said no. So when they ended up on the floor, for one reason or another, i decided to test it without their permission, and well, they got ran over, i'm not sure what i was expecting. The first time should of been the end of it, however i did it again, after moving forward and then turning around. Dick move, to do it once. Even worse to do it twice. My punishment was very fair despite me attempting to lie about what happened when i was first contacted. I cannot say (without lying) that i won't ever get banned again, even if it's a temporary ban. I've noticed a pattern, where i behave after my ban has been lifted and then i slowly, but surely start to push the boundary's until i step over it, and get a ban, or warning, then i behave again for a while. While it's not an excuse i think its due to my willingness to play the game for hours on end, every day. I believe i start to get bored, and i try to amuse myself at other players expenses. To test my theory. i plan on limiting my time on byond (and my computer in general, for personal reasons.) So hopefully i can have enough of a break in-between sessions so i don't get bored, and start messing about. This would hopefully let me avoid getting bans, and possibly even warnings. This would allow me to play the game, on one of the major HRP Severs, without being a pain to the staff team or the community, so all sides should be happy. Hopefully this reflection on my behavior as a player, alongside my habits will let everybody be happy with the state of things. I will be posting this before i go to bed, hopefully that isn't an issue.

Right, so i can see the results here pretty clearly. People want to see that i'm capable of sticking around for awhile (more than a month) before applying for a command position, people also want to see if i'm capable of a higher level of role-play, than I've been showing. I'd like to thank everybody for their responses, and i already have a new character out in the (world) station.

Beeksky was legitimately attempting to do something to dick yung, also i wasn't treating the welder tank as a pet, i was treating it as property, for i stated icly i wanted to bring it home for house repairs and home improvement. i also bought said fuel tank.

Thanks for the reply! as i stated before, i understand how people might be hesitant to give me any role of importance due to my history on the sever. Also about the hypothetical question you gave me, if a cyborg stated a law zero, or any other law it should not have, i would report it to the post relevant personal (Research director/Robotics) Hypothetical two: I would most likely comply with the AI, or if it decides to continue to esculate, i would, if at all possible remove the AI's ability to interact with stuff, for example building a wall in front of its camera, so it cannot see anything. instead of breaking the cameras. i would also notify somebody else about the AI, a security officer or another head of staff.

Very critical review, and i genuinely appreciate it. I also agree with the fact that i don't stick around for a long time, and that's mostly due to personal issues, regarding depression and ADHD, while this isn't much of an excuse i wish to put it out there, for people to keep in mind. icly dick young's contract was expiring soon (last time you saw him) and he now has employment through nano-trasen. Seeing this review, i will do my best to stick it out through the entire round, and i understand that i have things to improve, both personally and icly. I'm willing to learn and improve, but this will take time seeing as i am currently a sophomore in high-school. I enjoy your character, and i look forward to working with them again. I also understand how my recent ban lift may bother people (i do see their point of view, and i agree to a point). However as i stated in the original post, i'm trying to improve both as a player, a person, and a community member, and this will all take alot of work. I know people are skeptical, especially staff members who have had to deal with my past shenanigans, and those who were involved (or suffered the consequences of my actions). I understand that i'm currently the boy who cried wolf, saying i wouldn't get another ban, and i understand it will take time to fix my reputation.

BYOND key: Character names: ] How long have you been playing on Aurora?: I'd say the past two months or so, maybe longer, maybe less, i have a horrible time with understanding time. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I wish to become a whitelist member to help drive the round, and provide a character that is enjoyable to speak to. Why did you come to Aurora?: Mostly because it's not a ERP/Vore focused sever, mostly. i also didn't like the LRP severs like hippie. Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Yes. Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? Yes, two perma-bans and i'm on my last strike. i really want to be able to prove myself to be worthy enough to continue to play on this sever, and get another chance on other severs. While this application may not be the best, i'm willing to improve and learn how to make it better, and show that i can in fact change as a person, and a member of the community. Hopefully this fact won't effect how people vote for this, but i do agree that it should be kept in mind. In the two or three months i've been back, i got a warning for spamming the restart button. Other than that i've been a good boy. (some bwoinks for being involved in shenanigans but i always came out clean, and not on the wrong end of the stick.) Give a definition of what you think role-play is, and should be about: I think role-play is about making a character that would believably and seamlessly blend into an environment, time zone, and events. We create a story kinda like our lifes, we go to work, there might be an accident, or a surprise inspection, we react accordingly and to the best of our ability based on our characters (or ourselfs) experiences and education, and a multitude of other factors. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: I think a head of staff is in charge of helping run how the round goes, on top of whatever antag there is. in fact a head of staff might effect the outcome of how the crew reacts to a threat, and this role is vital in my opinion. it can make or break a round, depending on how a head of staff responds to something. not to mention running their department effectively and keeping their workers in line. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: I think whitelist players are expected to hold a certain level of finesse over other characters, they should guide the round, keep the crew-members in check, and respond to threats (or smaller things) within their department or the station. I also think they should set an example for what whitelist players should be like, and act like, both icly and oocly. Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career? Sure! The terror attacks from the SLF has caused a bunch of chaos, reminding everybody that crime rings, terrorist organizations, and other such things do indeed exist, and even if you work for the arguably biggest company in the universe, you cannot always be safe. Keeping this in mind my main character (Dick Yung) wants to What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted? I plan on playing as a chief engineer, with my Dick Yung character. However i might make a new character to play captain, or head of personal. however this would all depend on how well liked my other characters are, could happen, could not happen. Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.: As i said above, dick young as a chief engineer. and i'm unsure if i'll make a new character to play captain/head of personal or not. It will depend on the day, and a bunch of other stuff that may seem silly. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: being honest i'd say a four, though i can do much better (and will do much better) when playing as a head of staff. I also want to note that some days i role-play differently, or with greater results than other days. it all just kinda depends. I'll do my best to only play a head of staff on one of those days, and hopefully just enjoy the sever like i've always done. Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action? Yes i do. Have you familiarize yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles? I like the current system, adding a surgical drape is just an extra step in my opinion. adding steps to already existing stuff =/= adding new content

I one hundred percent broke the 'don't be a dick' rule, and i have zero doubts about it. I also did a horrible job of escalation, those are the two big ones in my opinion, however i could see how i also broke these rules: Avoid pain, and maybe even ganking? Banning staff member's Key: readthisnameplz Reason of Ban: You executed an Antag as a warden based off of them being part of a mutiny, yet you were not an antag and the execution was not needed. We told you when you were un-banned to not do this sort of thing. This is your last chance to appeal. Reason for Appeal: So, from what i understood, and gathered from the information that was provided to me, i was told there was a hostage / mutiny / other shenanigans going on inside medical, so i geared up, and went in. I tried to give them commands, to stop, drop the weapons, etc. And they decided to shoot at me, so i shot back and i won the fight. My perspective might have bias and other such nonsense. However i'm not going to try and get my ban appealed by arguing with staff about what happened, how it happened, and events leading up to it. I understand now, after some time on other role playing severs, i know how shitty it feels, and how shitty it looks, for somebody to come in, and gun down a scene that was being setup for most if not the entire round. i could also see how bad it must of felt for the rest of the station as well, be it crew-members, victims, the antags themselves, responding personal (ERT, Security, etc.) to have the threat over within five minutes. I know that i pretty much ruined that round for everybody involved. Hopefully i can enjoy a HRP sever with antags again, and hopefully i get another chance to be involved.
