Cargo Technician (4/37)

  1. I edited with a little bit more clarification on her state-of-affairs, as well as a bit more dimension to her once-one-dimensional personality.
  2. Tjana isn't owned by anybody anymore. Though after her initial development, she thought Coult would still have a lot to teach her, and still holds on to the ideal of community. So she's not necessarily owned by anybody in particular. I should rewrite that, because she made the professional decision herself, thinking service from a kitchen/bar/church/etc would contribute more to a community's well-being. Ty for pointing that out, I nearly did it again, LOL
  3. BYOND Key: Bristling_Feces Character Names: Midna Haewire, Fjonni Agardh, Falle Greyleaf, Winter Ase, Pao Pua, Diama Ruter Species you are applying to play: IPC (Shell Frame in particular) Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Over plenty of times, this is my 4th or 5th application, I hope I crammed as much into my head as possible. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: Something new. Man, how do I make a paragraph for this? I've wanted to play something different from human. Because I've played so many human, so many Offworlders, and I've always played from the perspective of a Dominian from Moroz. I think making a character who views things from the entirely opposite side of the mirror would be interesting, and help better my RP experience on the server. Always being a wicked racist piece o' crap can get old sometimes. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: They are synthetic, compared to humans who are organic. They act and think and process in completely different ways than humans do. They don't eat, they think with a line of code that learns from experiencing and observing. Even they way they learn from others is different, where they register what they hear and learn, and organics base their learnings off of what they already believe; not to say an IPC's beliefs can't be overwritten, but it's harder to crack the emotions and thoughts of an IPC than an organic (even this has it's limits). For example, I don't believe most IPCs would make an action when they know the outcome would be questionable, or unfavorable. Where a human being might make a decision based on the needs/wants of them or those around them, and decide the greater cause is worth the chaotic outcome. Where an IPC would say "This isn't ideal...", an organic might say "Screw it, this'll be fun!" The best examples I can come up with. An IPC has set priorities and preferences, while an organic being takes in a lot more complex things into thought. Character Name: Tjana Please provide a short backstory for this character (Aproxomately two paragraphs) Tjana's tutor was a young man named Coult Johnson, an Einstein Engines employee, somebody who's always grown alone, chasing his dream-girls his whole life. He was instructed to be one of Tjana's main teachers, primarily as a test for Coult to see if he could capably be somebody to do it regularly for the company. During Tjana's development, he was looking toward the future of his creation, long before he finished it. He thought of what he was going to teach it; homey skills, representation, formality, and... care. Tjana was adequately named, and Coult pooled almost all of his free time into what he eventually labeled his 'daughter.' Tjana grew up to be loving to organics and other synthetics alike. In the eyes of her and Coult, synthetics and organics are on equal levels of capability, including their ability, needs, wants, and otherwise. "They all have dreams, and so do I. Though... what is... my dream?" Tjana searched most of her late stages a few months after her creation, trying to think of what she aspires to be. To help others. To accompany others. To find a community. The Trinary Perfection caught her mind many times during these stages, until she and Coult took the initiative to join and learn under them. She found her dream, now she needs to act on it. After her initial development among Einstein Engines, Tjana was finally set out into the world to experience it herself, when Coult bought her freedom with the last of his pay and retirement funds. This was all but easy and pleasant, as the real world casts a shadow over Tjana like a swarm. Not everybody was as generous, caring, or considering as Coulton was to her. This caused her to be somewhat selective with the group of people she spends her time with. While ultimate everyone deserves equal treatment, sometimes her generosity is not as rewarded as she would initially hope. Nonetheless, Tjana finds her group of people, a young girl named Diama, who could only communicate through sign. Diama understood a lot about being singled out, or being taken advantage of, much like Tjana has experienced. It was also around this time she heard Coult had lost his job among the corporation, some form of deep-seeded vendetta they had on him after purchasing her freedom. Tjana still lives with Coult, as he manages and maintains her. However; Coult wasn't able to sustain his own life anymore at the cost of Tjana's freedom, so she took it upon herself to work and support Coult and herself. Tjana's first job was within Nanotrasen, acting as a representative, and helps maintain the service wing to the best of her ability, acting as an example. She wishes to paint the company she works under in the best light possible, and make sure everybody that works under it feels included, loved, and considered in the grand scheme of things. Through her training, she learned that Moral is an important element when keeping a team together. What do you like about this character? I've always had a soft-spot for creator-creation stories, in most varieties, the ones that end good, the ones that end bad. But I felt for the need of this character to be a charitable and generous sort, it was best to give Tjana a caring family and environment to live among. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I've been on this server for a long time. While I think I do my best, I still have plenty of space to improve. I'm hoping roleplaying from a different perspective will help usher in more interesting and immersive roleplay, as I learn how to act from an entirely different world. Notes: Holy cow, I actually sorta felt like the paragraph limit wasn't quite enough. I like this concept; if you need me to add on her story a little bit, then I most certainly will. Thanks for tolerating my persistence to whitelist this species, I'm confident in this one. q w q
  4. Edited, had to do a little extra reading. I thought, where does her personality come from? What even is her personality? I hope I did better. I really had to figure out what a life of an IPC really consists of other than work.
  5. Because i know ipc arent actually flawless, they just act on as if their directive MUST BE DONE, or their difficult to influence through the same concerns a person would be.
  6. BYOND Key: Bristling_Feces Character Names: My only active ones are... Midna Haewire (Corporate Liason) Falle Greyleaf (Dominian Consular Officer) Diama Ruter (Cook) Pao Pua (Quartermaster) Winter Ase (Psychiatrist) Species you are applying to play: IPC (Shell Frame Accessory) What color do you plan on making your first alien character: Exempt, BOIIII Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: A lot more thoroughly this time, ye Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: I'm seeking to put together a character that's as very 'literal' in the sense of words and their meanings, as well as somebody who's actually suppose to me optimized for their work. Somebody who's work ethic is rarely outmatched. To be honest, I think it'll help my role playing ability, as I usually play characters that only view things from the perspective of an organic, born-and-raised, naturally grown person. Not to mention, I rarely give myself a chance to play a character from this perspective of society. So why? Improvement & exploration. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: I think most notably the ceaseless discrimination that humans have against them. The idea is that you're playing something that, whether adamantly trying or not, is trying to impersonate a living being. Many people are against this, and typically don't receive it well that they didn't truly have a genuine human interaction. Whether it was a good or bad experience, some can't push past the fact they're synthetic. Due to the history of invasive and infiltration-based occurrences, one can understand where all the distaste originates from. (Expanded) The differences a human bears against being an IPC, or otherwise synthetic, is that their personality and nature is built upon the foundation of their entire lives; from birth and childhood, to workforce and social activity. While IPCs learn of every individual and their natures, as well as gaining knowledge about self-preservation and the daily needs to get by, they don't let their experiences change them, unless it's for the betterment of themselves and/or the individuals they consider allies or superiors. Character Name: Requiem Please provide a short backstory for this character (Aproxomately two paragraphs) Being constructed under Einstein Engines' subsidiary Taipei Engineering, Tingting Huang proposed a project to create a Shell Frame that would outclass even the most productive Bishop Frame; of course striking where they lack the most, the mimicry factor. This plan came together within the company, by calling forth favors from Terraneus Diagnostics for their Shell Frame research, and both from some outstretched sources within Bishop. The idea was to take the best of both the finance and service worlds, making a chassis capable of covering culinary dining, as well as executive work. A perfect hand-servant. Finally, the frame was created. Requiem was its name, to reflect the gentle sound of elevator music, or record-players from old Earth. A very rustic feel adorned this frame, reflecting a typical handmaid from early century Europe, with mixed influence from other cultures. The frame was then traded around between Bishop, Einstein and Taipei for individual maintenance and improvements. Nanotrasen caught wind of this, and proposed a very expensive deal for this dauntless frame; and once brought into Nanotrasen hands, was re-optimized to work in Nanotrasen's best interests. As a part of Requiem's training she underwent was to frequently visit and work under a trade member within the Golden Ones faction. Through this, she learned methods of trade, the attitude of a merchant, and the many natures of business. This shaped her own signature personality, learning to be polite in the face of growing toxicity, and to be patient and understanding of every individual; not only to use this to the benefit of her business, but to utilize this knowledge should it ever prove useful. The expenses and effort gone into her training, conditioning, programming and mechanical structure, as well as her positive attitude and dedication to Nanotrasen, makes her a common target among crime groups and competitive companies alike. The gullible nature of her single-minded training is just a simple misdemeanor away from putting her on the wrong path. Likewise, her unassuming attitude of malicious intent leave her vulnerable to obvious threats until proven. What do you like about this character? I used the word dauntless as a defining trait. I think my favorite part will be playing something that's dedicated unerringly to the ideals of Nanotrasen; this is something I simply haven't given myself the chance to play before, and thought this would be an excellent opportunity to try. Personal servants are always something that amazed me, as well, in which this character may be wholly dedicated to the safety and assurance of the Captain, or some other Head of Personel where applicable, otherwise simply 'housekeeping' in their absence to make sure conduct is followed. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I've been roleplaying a long time now, in D&D, online games, MMO's, otherwise. I've had a lot of experience with Space Station as a whole, and a little less than a year's worth on Aurora alone. I think my roleplaying reflects that, is really all I can say for myself. I do also roleplay as many different archetypes of characters and persona's. Being able to shift from one to another is not a problem for me. Notes: Dear god I really hope I read my share of lore this time. Thank you for reading! ❤️
  7. BYOND Key: Bristling_Feces Character Names: Noia Kurusava, Diama Ruter, Pao Pua, Winter Ase, Ginnunga Ase, Falle Greyleaf, Midna Haewire Species you are applying to play: Bishop Accessory Frame What color do you plan on making your first alien character: Well, you know... White. I'm not sure what options there are for Bishop, if any. lol Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes, my favorite part is Bishop being extremely calculated, and that IPCs in general are programmed to perform specific tasks. It's exactly the character I'm aiming for. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: I'm looking to play a type of character that can fit the 'Secretary' sort of role better than a typical stock-standard human. I like the unerring nature of IPCs, and the simple, yet unnerving perfection that Bishops bring to the table of that within Service. With that in mind, I've taken inspiration from, really, any AI servant you can name, be it Cortana, and very similar synthetic beings from many different movies and games. Thinking of this character gets me excited. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: The sheer polar differences between the imperfect human race and the perfect IPC mentality. I've always wanted to play something that had the right to boast about how flawless they are, whether or not it's true, which most likely isn't the case. The way they speak, the way they act, they survival instincts, the wholesome dedication to their strict directives. You can't find those traits in a human being (at least without holes in the script, so-to-speak). Character Name: Crown Please provide a short backstory for this character Among the streets of Tau Ceti, built within a dark alleyway, was a small community of shunned, discarded, and forgotten IPCs. Barely surviving day-to-day, still convinced of their purposes. A band of Dominians regularly passed by this part of town to 'remind' them where they belong, that nobody wants them anymore. One brave IPC stood out, and up, against these oppressing vagabonds. It wasn't mainly concerned about it's own safety, but the safety of the community that had kept each other, including them, active and alive. This left seemingly irreparable damage to the brave IPC. Until a scientist from Bishop came along, revealing to have witnessed the entire act. He gave the intelligence another chance, and at that, a doorway to a higher place in society. Wishing, now she, could have brought the small family she had with her, she took the step forward regardless, as she now served a higher cause, and had been directed by the most charitable human encountered, to serve within Bishop, and furthermore, unto Nanotrasen's very own Aurora. ((Programmed for Liasonary work, or Culinary dining.)) What do you like about this character? I have a very elegant image with this character. I hope it gains the reputation as 'the crown' of the service wing on the station, and hope it becomes somewhat iconic not only among the crew, but as part of the station itself. I want vibes for her like 'The Lady of Aurora' or something-- of course those are far out of my reach. But that's a good baseline for what kind of character I'm aiming toward. I hope it flavors RP better for everyone around her. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I hate this question. I really should have others rate my role-playing. However, I've been on the server for about a year now, and find most of my interactions enjoyable through the oddity of my characters. Snowflaking is frowned upon, but there always needs to be that one person that stands out in every wing, I think! Notes:
  8. It's been extremely fun, actually. :3 Sorry for the late response. But I was doing really well I think. I had an incident related to a ninja round that ended in me wailing on the ninja at the end, and it of course nukes again. But apparently They really enjoyed how I roleplayed the entire time leading up to that point. They say I was really accurate with my dominian roleplay, aside from the screaming about heretics. Most people I RP'd with were really satisfied. I wish I had more of a chance to play over the week, but I came down with something halfway through and found it hard to find energy to get online. I hope I get more chances to play as a Liason; honestly it's been my favorite character to play since I begun. ^ . ^ Ty for the trial, however it may have turned out.
  9. BYOND key: Bristling_Feces Character names: Winter Ase Ginnunga Ase Pao Pua Diama Ruter How long have you been playing on Aurora?: A few months now, on-and-off of course due to other activities. I know I've gained some form of reputation, though it hasn't really shown much else other than my character concepts. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I've had a lot of character ideas over the time I've been on that can only be done in higher positions. I suppose to express my creative side a little better and hopefully have more roles I can fill on the station. Command is important, and I see a lot of the time that Command seems absent. Even if it's just something as small as Liason, it's important to have someone to report to. Why did you come to Aurora?: Jumping from server-to-server, no other server can really take a title as "RP-Behemoth", but then I found this station. I stayed on this one just because of the potential of finding other people that appreciate the RP scene as much as I do. It's hard to find it on other servers. Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: I have. Liason has a lot in detail to each sub-type you can play as, though I haven't quite decided which one I'm going to strike up officially. Though being a Liason, makes me feel I can connect with the whole crew a little more; which is why I plan on playing it. I suppose the faction I plan on joining would have to depend on the character I make upon approval. Assuming I get considered, of course. Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? Ohhh yeah I have. However only one that stands out, and is even remotely bad, was just a bad hostage situation I did while I was a security officer. I've since learned how to be less gung-ho and aren't as catastrophic to those around me. Save that for when I'm antagonist and are suppose to make things wild for the crew. Long-story-short, I learned my lesson. I believe I was only warned, and it was my first and only offense, as far as I can recall. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is a story that a collective of minds come together to set up and enact. Everyone has their role to play, and we all expect each other to play that role correctly, and/or constructively. The goal is to have a good time, I believe; we're all here to have fun, and we should actively try to make it fun for everyone involved. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: The out-of-character purpose of a head-of-staff is to be able to guide the players, teach them the tasks needed with each department. Medical teaches doctors how to medicate, operate, etc. Engineering teaches how to fix up the engines, fix lights, do mechanical work and the like. HoP usually instructs and ensures those in Service do their jobs correctly, and generally keeps their eye on the entire crew to make sure productivity isn't interrupted. In-game is the exact same; except in-character. They actively go about their business, but from their character's perspective. Also mostly, if need-be, to keep things running themselves. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: I think our job as whitelists would be to be the responsible sibling. While still acting in-character while in-game, OOC you should be responsible and considerate in the face of regular players. Put simply, be a good role-model. Roleplay -- Rolemodel. Be a good example is really as simple as this can be put. Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career? This is the question I sort of dull down on. I've never really been able to locate exactly where to look for this kind of information. If it's the broadcasts from the PDA from Tau Ceti Daily, then the most I've seen is a lot to do with elections and the like. I suppose I've been sort-of in character with that, it hasn't affected my character(s) too personally, at least yet. However, as of now, a news article broadcasted about a celebration for the apprehension of a terrible criminal, and that food stock prices have skyrocketed. Most of my characters appreciate their food, so they haven't been too impressed by the cost-increase of their regular supplies, so this must be affecting their moods during work-shifts. What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted? Corporate Liason. It's mostly the only one I've looked at really, since I love involving myself with the service wing. I feel being a Liason would involve me with them more commonly than being an HoP, and having a lot more constructive freedom with how I go about roleplaying it out. Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.: I may be using Ginnunga, if not, Diama. However, Diama is mute, so I don't believe her involvement with Liason would be warranted, or even advised. So, most likely Ginnunga or Winter Ase. If not, then I've still plenty of character concepts in mind that would fit the position. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: I think I definitely meet the status quo. If there is one, lol! I genuinely have a hard time rating myself on anything; but I've been RPing for a long time, and I put a lot of effort to include everyone and display my character to the best of my ability. So I think I'm a pretty damn good RPer! :3 Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action? I'd be irritated if I got away with misbehavior all the time. I have my sense of fair play, and if I don't deserve it, I don't want it! Have you familiarized yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles? Yes I have. Extra notes: I'm doing thing genuinely because I'm curious and want to try it out. It looks fun, being so high on the ladder. Hope to hear feedback soon, thanks for reading my application! ^ . ^
  10. BYOND key: Bristling_Feces Character names: Noia Kurusava Corbjorn Tyran [Soon to be revised] How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Maybe two weeks now. Still trying to find my place and where I belong, but Noia seems to be getting a healthy reputation, I hope. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I want to be able to offer more opportunity for roleplay and better everybody's experience with Roleplay. I can do so without the Whitelist, but the flavor of the character I have in mind would have a lot more capability in making such actions. Why did you come to Aurora?: I heard "Heavy RP" and thought there was actually a cultured, or at least competent, community of people that put story above mechanical influence. Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: I have. I would still need to give it a few more once-overs while I learn to play the Occupation, but I'm confident in my knowledge, and a fast learner. Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they? Without a doubt. Just yesterday I gave Security Guard a try. I ended up escalating a violent hostage situation that resulted in half the Med Bay being nuked by a ninja corpse, plus plenty of injuries. I understand my folly there; while I was acting on what I believe my character would do, it resulted in a lot of people's RP being ruined. Feel damn sad about that; I'll leave the security deals to people that are better fit for it. I promptly apologized to the admin involved and to the rest of the party. We all start somewhere, I still have a lot of mechanical deals I need to learn. Like how ninja suits are immune to stuns xD My goal for this Whitelist is to have a character that I can play under Internal Affairs Agent, because when I'm put in the shoes of someone who just listens to peoples' complaints and enacts official actions against miss-conduct, I think I'd do a lot better of a job there. It's a relatively paced job, nothing I'd really be put under a lot of stress over. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is a collaborative effort from multiple bodies to plot, script, create and enact out a story, or series of stories. Some situations, like Aurora, plot to have stories that stretch from the plot that exists, and create many different sub-plots that interact and entwine with each other through other players' characters. My belief of what it should be about is people having fun, while at the same time finding the joy in playing within the ruleset provided and create something unique and new to offer to the story at-hand. Simply put; We all have a role to play. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: The purpose of a Head of Staff is to provide guidance and assistance to those under you if something should be considered difficult. If they need help knowing how to hack into a door, or cook a plate of spaghetti, or when to interrogate naughty inmates. Also being the communication point between your typical associate, and the Captain. At least, that's in-game. The meta purpose, or OOC, I think would be literal management; the one in charge to make sure that RP goes smoothly and not off-the-rails like most other RP servers tend to have happen. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: Actively allow myself to be available to answer questions about certain topics, of which my specific role would probably be what they come to me for. Being an IAA would probably means my main ideal is to make sure everybody is following the Standard Operating Procedures of their respective department. I.E. having a clean kitchen. Keeping the rubber shotgun in the bar. Assuring maintenance is upkeeping lights in the hallway, and are actively available to assist in their job. Not only that, also to settle disagreements among crewmates, or to look into suspected violations of the SOP. Essentially the OOC responsibilities of mine that I would have would be to help players who are unaware of these procedures learn what they are and how to go about keeping themselves in check. Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career? With the rise of terrible conflict across the system, theft of vessels and ambushes from Tajaran villains, Necropolis Industries' own Confiance Technologies realizes the nature of these criminals are growing ever more advanced, and even reaching ends that only were achieved through controversial means. While sinister in nature, Necropolis believes that learning these methods would be beneficial in the future for acting against these villains. Fighting fire with fire. Noia was only just recently discharged from the military before she was taken in by Necropolis, without notice and by force. Through them they conducted countless experiments, including a customary model of cybernetic armature, an arm with a sinister appearance, which was functionally improved upon other models. This arm however comes at the price of jolting surges, albeit harmless, through the veins of the users. Both Noia and her significant other were taken in and conducted on, however she still needs time to adjust to the odd pain. As part of the experiments, Noia was personally contracted aboard the NSS Aurora as a test subject to see how one with these genetic, mechanical and mental augmentations adjusts back to the typical lifestyle of a common Nanotrasen employee. Starting as a freelance journalist, Necropolis now, through their own methods, seeks to lift Noia to higher standards among the Aurora, intending on having a bit of a closer eye on the station. All will soon see. What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted? Internal Affairs Agent; along with what I usually play. I seem to make the best efforts in the Service wing of the station. I also intend on playing as a few antag roles which all have their own reasons as to why Noia would suddenly be turning antagonistic. Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.: Noia Kurusava may be the one to step up to the plate for IAA. If not then I may keep her at a Journalist and make a new character for it. I also submitted an application for an IPA race permission, which I kind of long for; I think that a character who's inclined to Nanotrasen or another related organization would be perfect for a job that prefers their agents had no personal affiliations with the crew. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: When put in the right role, I think my roleplay is pretty good. I find I'm modest in my self-opinions, but I deffinitely try my best to give the people around me as much to work with to interact with my characters and surrounding objects as possible. Managed to go a round as a Vampire and got myself a personal blood-doner through roleplay, and went the whole round alive and *almost* onto the shuttle... I do improv a lot here and there; Noia for example being from a very covert-op wing of Necropolis, which I know isn't in the main wiki, but it's my excuse for when she runs Antag some rounds. Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action? Yes. Especially after the previous incident, I understand now may not be the healthiest time to apply for Whitelist. Though I also have much else to improve on, I believe IAA would be a comfortable role to have while I still learn. We all start somewhere~! Have you familiarized yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles? I have only looked in-depth with IAA; the other roles I have not particularly looked over, but knowing this may be important in the future, I shall give them a few twice-overs. Extra notes: I genuinely have optimism to play this role, or at least be put on trial for it for a while; however if I seem like I'm getting in over my head, let me know what I could primarily improve on; and I'll do the best in my ability to do so. I'm not the most formal kind of person, I do go about my life with a "just wing it" kind of mentality, but I'm feeling explorative. Thanks for reading my Application, even if it's a waste of time! Hope to hear from you soon!
  11. BYOND Key: Bristling_Feces Character Names: Noia Kurusava Corbjorn Tyran A few others I haven't touched. Species you are applying to play: IPC - Bishop Accessory Frame in particular Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Ye. I read through the important functionality and gave a one-over the in-depth details. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: I have two very free-running characters, who are both very much against typical law, or at least expectation. Noia is very formal and polite, but believes heavily in freedom. Where Corbjorn, with his history being in the army and the trauma he's been through, he become a very stern, quiet man, yet stalwart and defensive; a guardian to those he deems needs the help. But neither of these characters are fit for service, which is why I wanted to make an IPC, specifically one that's augmented toward culinary service, be it Chef or Bartender; but at the same time I wanted it to be visually and emotionally lovable; so I want to try my hand at being a Synthetic. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: To be property of someone is somewhat interesting... I read through the Yellow Fever story way back when I was younger, a story following a doctor and his slave-apprentice. The owner of this slave was a very caring person, and actually loved the fact his slave aspired to be a doctor, and follow in medical studies. It was a lovely story. But I was more inspired by the slave, how his indomitable loyalty to his master due to his care, even if his nature and outward appearance was that of a slave, where others would rise against their master the first chance they get. I would love to play something/someone that looks up to their owner (if owned) and strives to be the best at what they're told to do. Sometimes playing along with the rules is fun; and that's what I aim to do with this. Character Name: Tjana Please provide a short backstory for this character Created and reinstalled by Necropolis Industries, through a very dark underground organization. Taking in a sinister Positronic brain, they aimed to try and recondition it to once again function in human society; where others would simply erase and/or discard the cube once done. This of course came with it's risks, while they succeeded in bringing out a personality that seemed to completely polarize the former, the cheery and uplifting nature of the cube drew some uncertainty within the corporation. After weeks of testing, Tjana, as they came to name her, was scheduled to be sent to the Aurora for testing. Whether this mission is malicious or beneficial has yet to be seen, but ultimately this would bring a new age of research, if they truly discovered how to recondition the malicious positronic brain. What do you like about this character? I adore the way I formatted it, if I can get my pride out of the way. I wrote the story specifically to keep that door open toward antagonistic roles, for the off-chance I end up playing as one. I also have always been a fan of the idea of a personal servant, should she end up being assigned to somebody in particular. Being someone that cares to the needs of somebody, and is entirely outfitted to it, has always been something I geek out over. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I've heard a few others compliment my ability, but I can't particularly name a few. I know I cherish character development over all else, and I'm able to act out on what I build as the foundation for my character. I always incorporate emotion and history/emotional/personality based decisions in my actions, and I make sure to make that apparent with the /me command, to make sure people at least have a hint as to what I'm doing. This will be a change of pace, but I'm excited to give it a try. Notes: I wuv u. o w o I don't have anything in particular to note, this is kind of just to see how I'd enjoy playing this race, This is something I'm inspired to play/make at the time of making the post, and I kind of want to feel a little more personalized, because I love this server. I haven't had so much fun roleplaying since D&D. Hope to hear from you soon!
