Barman

Barman (3/37)

  1. No one owned him, at least yet. When he was built he was owned by the security force on the NSS Aurora, as Bishop did such a great job. Fixed. He had no purpose, he was unfinished due to a botched operation, the event happened due to a core meltdown of the ship, causing him to be sent far into a scrap pile. Provided. In secrecy, his opinion of freedom is dire. He wishes so dearly to have his own freedom, yet he cannot bare to lose the vision of his people. He is in a state of "mixed emotions", so to speak. Simulated, of course.
  2. Due to a explosion of his former station in which he was to be built on, he was incapable of being built as the ship exploded an hour before the operation of the frame could commence. This lead to the unknown station to go bankrupt, eventually leaving him to float in space due to their budget loss. The NSS Aurora was the only one who found his brain, and placed it in their own body which is what I deem the Blackened Bishop Accessory Frame.
  3. It means he likes the lack of negativity that he gets from the company, which makes him somewhat "feel" better, and the company better if that makes any sense.
  4. He means that he isn't self-centered. Even though IPCs are all about self-preservation, this is about self-preservation. He's simply trying to make himself look like a good role-model for the company. The company picked him up, repaired the minor scratches on the positronic brain, and placed him into a exclusive, one-time built frame. From what carried on there, he went into the security force as stated in the rest of the story.
  5. He has a intense hate towards any robot that would sacrifice their robotic shells to look like one of the humans. He thinks that all IPCs deserve to be in their own baseline or industrial frame, not a human replica built by some money hungry company.
  6. BYOND Key: DeenDoor24 Character Names: Benny Whistler, Chippy Bristley, Jacob Bolk, Jaiden Mars, Frank Arondia, Noel Astron, Shawn Ebbesen, and a slot I'm saving for the IPC which has nothing customized, but is currently called Darold Damota. Species you are applying to play: IPC What color do you plan on making your first alien character: EXEMPT Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes. Why do you wish to play this specific race: IPCs are unique in my eyes. The reason why I wish to play as an IPC is that they have unique models and personalities, although them not being internally and visibly humanoid despite their humanoid shape. I like the way that these characters RP. From what I've seen, IPCs don't have knowledge of slang, changing their way of speech. They do not address people as "Dude", or say "Yo". They proceed with a much higher formality due to their robotic natures, not knowing how to properly speak like humans. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: We'll start off with the most important part of an IPC. Their brain. IPCs (Integrated Positronic Chassis) have Positronic Brains, which are replicas of human brains. It heavily replicates the humanoid brain structure, as stated from the uplink. They're used to bolster the workforce and are most certainly always found in IPCs due to the word Positronic being in their species name. They are extremely expensive mind you, though it is worth the price due to the workforce bolstering I mentioned earlier. They are reliable machines used to manage areas of work to do as stated. It will never wish to switch from jobs, due to it being somewhat engraved into the brain. They are paid with a low sum of money, due to them being robots, not living and hard-working human beings. Though not everything is robotic about it's brain, as it can develop certain traits, hobbies, non-standard occupation preferences, and memory growth as stated alongside the stated effects of internal memory growth. This is all natural due to it being a "heavy replication of a human brain", as the robot grows older and older throughout it's shelf-life. Now let's continue with their thought process. IPCs can have different behaviors depending on their personality trait and so forth. Though they do have personalities, they can only mimic these human traits to a certain degree. These IPCs take everything into consideration, and go off of it via cause and effect. Spontaneous and unpredictable behavior is pretty rare among IPCs due to regular maintenance, and the Roboticists assumedly take good care of these frames. They share no visible pain to anything, and have no restraints to what human beings would have due to their robotic nature and such. Another thing for their behavioral ordeal would be their emotions. IPCs are able to simulate emotion with extreme varied quality between models. IPCs do not do anything without reaction, as even the most complex IPCs work in a stated "binary format". They have this to a certain degree, as self-preservation is a requirement for all IPCs, as stated in the uplink. They share self-preservation requirements similar to a humanoid, and do anything for self survival. If wealth is a requirement, they'll fulfill that. If security-based operation is required, they'll do that. Self-Preservation (as stated) is of the utmost requirement for every Integrated Positronic Chassis. The final topic I will bring, is their Physiology. All IPCs can have unique models varying from Industrial all the way to Shell Models and the Unknown. We'll start off with the Industrial. Industrial IPCs are made for more physically demanding jobs and heavy manual labor. Due to this, they are made more durable and efficient at this subject, to make sure they are to succeed in their jobs. They're the only models capable of EVA with only a suit cooler. One of the few industrial models, the Xion, is unique in being capable of traversing the void of space without any external equipment. The cost of an industrial frame is dependent on strength and durability, but most units vary between 200,000 to 350,000 regular credits depending on what frame is being made. Any used, or previously damaged models are made cheaper for business and so forth. As we move on to the most basic models, known as the Baseline. They are simple-er models used for more in0ranged work that is often chosen by not-so physically demanding labor caring workers. Though they are not limited, it matters how much money was put into a IPC or how much they put into themselves. As a result, the types of baseline frames vary immensely, almost demanding their own category. There are three types of Baseline IPCs; Standard Baseline IPCs, Bishop Accessory Frames, and Zeng-Hu Mobility Frames. None of these frames are capable of EVA without a suit and suit cooler. The most modernized model would be the shell-model. A few IPCs are disgusted to even be placed into a humanoid body, as they would most likely prefer to be what they are already in, if that is the case. Though of course, there are many reasons why a IPC wouldn't want this, they can sometimes cause anything from nothing to absolute mayhem if they had the ability to do so. But speaking of Shell Model IPCs, they are practically modernized synthetic beings with positronic brains. These positronic synthetics were made by Einstein Engines. These smart humanoid positronic androids began to be introduced in a new era, and Einstein would not want to miss out on the profit, but just about every conceivable ordeal he could nitpick had been fulfilled. The last one would be a robot not many people talk about, and without the proper information cannot be described. The only information given is that technology has begun coming so far, so this would be either soon, or in the future. They regain their charge from APCs (with a very very very low chance of electrocution), or charging in a cyborg recharging station. Character Name: SVC-209 Please provide a short backstory for this character: SVC-209 is a baseline IPC, which was originally a positronic brain floating in the depths of space, unknowing of what would happen. There was no information of what he formally was, or what he was originally built for. But due to the tracking of the scrap's movement, it seems that he came from a unfinished model. One day, the NSS Aurora came across the scrap heap his brain was on, recovering it to refurbish and produce a Blackened Bishop Accessory frame. Bishop payed top dollar for this bot, as his brain was special in more ways than one. To be precise, he had advanced mechanics and thought development. Though everything else was standard components, it was still a great discovery for Bishop. The amount placed into this robot varied from 250,000 - 275,000 credits. He was a fine-crafted specimen who was designated to work at the security force. Over the course of two years, he proved well to the company. He was placed as a great asset to the company, and many folk spread word of his presence around the station. His personality was quite humble, and he took no credit for what he did. He simply says "I do it for the people, and I do it for the force." He spoke with a heavy formality, and responding as direct as he must. Not because he wanted to, but because his robotic roots made him and demanded him. He accepts this either way, and he appreciates the lack of judgement the force gives him. He isn't left out to criticism though, as he can mess up on his own accord. About two months ago, he was transferred to a different station for a off-site operation. When officers came on-scene to help, they found him on the ground. Frizzed and beaten to a pulp, they extracted him back to return to his normal job. This staggered his reputation hard, though most of the people appreciated him, as rare as this type of applaud is rare. A extreme operation on him and a reboot was all he he needed. It seemed that whatever those people did building him, knew their stuff. He left with permanent part damage, but not in the way you'd expect it. It didn't effect his mentality, he stayed the same. He was metaphorically built tough, and he is tough. He shows signs of hate towards Shell Model IPCs, as he thinks that IPCs belong in their frames. These frames are practically meant to be their homes, and taking them out seems pretty wrong in his eyes. What do you like about this character?: I like the way he's humble, it proves that he's a robot who does his duty because he was mead to do it. It really shows what he truly his, and it glorifies that he truly is an IPC. How would you rate your role-playing ability?: I rate my roleplaying ability an 8/10. Catch me on a good day, and maybe a 9/10.
  7. Sorry for the immense amount of replies, fixed. Hopefully rewriting did something to answer the questions ya had.
  8. I fixed the application instead due to it being more reliable for me.
  9. BYOND Key: DeenDoor24 Character Names: 5 randomized human beings which I've accidentally generated and one which I took time to identify named Shaun. Species you are applying to play: IPC What color do you plan on making your first alien character: (First Alien is going to be IPC, so this is exempt) Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Sure have, and I've got to say it's rather simplistic. Why do you wish to play this specific race: I want to play this specific race, as playing a Positronic Robot Chassis seems pretty fun. RPing as a robot opens opportunities for many, including myself. Medical help for IPCs aren’t much of a bother, as a welding tool can easily fix any exterior damage. Any internal damage to an IPC would require further help from a Roboticist. Stepping away from medical topics, their brains are very complex. It is assumed that most positronic brains are somewhat possessed. Or, they are just programmed and able to do such. No, the brains are NOT human. They are metallic and made of circuitry. Not to mention their thought process. IPCs have a more static thought process, as robots aren't advanced hyper creatures. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: The difference would obviously be their anatomy. All the organs in an IPC are mechanical. They are capable of eating, though this does not satiate their hunger. Including drinking liquids. Their alternatives would be a cyborg station, or using their power cord to drain power from an APC. Most IPCs can have human emotions, mostly because they are sentient androids. Character Name: SVC-209 lease provide a short backstory for this character: SCV-209 is a Baseline Bishop IPC. His paint job is blackened, with touches of silver on his hips, abdomen, and calves. He cost 16000 credits to be deployed, and was meant to stay as a Security IPC. Throughout his first few years as an IPC, he experienced beatings and trauma from his previous assignment as a Security Baseline. This enduced him in a state of denial, which further pushed him to break mentally. His kindness can often be too polite or upfront. Drifting away from this dark tone, after he was resigned, he was decided to be placed as a cargo worker in Aurora. After about a year, a terrible incident involving his hand and a few crooks, left him traumatized and permanently scarred, mentally and physically. His hand was replaced, though his soul suffered the consequences of the final push. His personality now had two sides, and two sides only. He can often be found kind, but when he’s found to change personalities, he can be a bit condescending and down right awful to people. Whenever he’s around people during his kind state, he is awfully sweet. During when his entire schtick changes, is when he’s disgusted at human life. He indulges in the way humans writhe in pain during this personality. So it's obvious, if he was human he'd probably go commando. Not because personality, but because he's attached at what he is. What do you like about this character?: His passionate care for others, it reminds me of myself. I can myself include the tad bit of himself being aggressive now and then, though I have been different due to irl ordeals. His frame is unique because it's in a shape different to most baseline models. This is really to my liking as the Bishop brand baseline IPCs look pretty dapper in my opinion. How do you rate your roleplaying ability?: I rate it a 7/10. I've been roleplaying for over 3 years. So to be honest, it's kinda a no-brainer. Notes: I hope that this application is to your tastes, and if you have any questions or things you want me to fix or touch up on that I didn't notice, please do tell me.
