  1. Hi-hi! Yes, I do believe I was right. But I do understand why you banned me, you believed I was attempting to take down the antagonists. I don't feel like that was in the case, I had no intention to ensure that the opponents hit the floor. I could've attempt to dropkick or suplex the antagonists, yet I didn't and merely spammed (probably useless) bare-handed punches against a voidsuit while trying to push past them, because I had two goals: to ensure my own character's survival (getting out of the combat zone), snatching the Leviathan key from the console to prevent genocide on Adhomai (just as I was ordered by the captain). You want to discourage this behavior for bridge crew because it's security's job to handle threats and it can be unrealistic to see a janitor beat up an entire team of Solarian marines (as a wild example). But this threat was on the bridge with me - a bridge crewman, who happened to be issued a (very weak) firearm for nasty cases and again: my intention was not beating antagonists to the ground, nor do I think that I succeeded in that, security's firearms did. If I could I would be more than happy to just chat and fly the Horizon all shift without hearing a gunshot, pretending like it's Extended. I do have a warden character for the times I do feel like dealing with antagonists (which almost never happens and I do paperwork RP instead). Edit: If I could write anything without a typo... Always correcting those...
  2. BYOND Key: TheDoktorZ Total Ban Length: Permanent Banning staff member's Key: YouJustGotOwened Reason of Ban: See attached image please. Reason for appeal: I would like to argue that my actions were motivated by self-preservation and sense of duty as bridge crew at the time of ban. But I do admit that there was one time in the past when I did attempt to hunt down an antagonist and I was warned for it. In total I was warned for two incidents and got banned on the third, but I believe two of these were not completely just. I would explain these incidents in a few words: Let's begin with admitting when I was wrong: The first time when I was warned for this we had a low-pop round and the antagonist's main plot was mainly about destruction. I was pissed both IC'ly and OOC'ly so I helped security find them and blocked the antagonist's escape route with my character. I was warned for this (no warning issued just small talk with an admin) and I know I should've stay put and let security handle it, I didn't. This was a completely just warning, nothing wrong with it. The second time was when an antagonist broke into the bridge took me hostage and injected me with a paralysis pen. Of course this could be a difficult thing to perform, but I did let it happen for role-playing reasons, I was curious about their plot. The intruder tied me up, took my ID and dragged me to the Longbow (back when it was connected to the bridge), but in the meantime my pAI warned security. Upon security's arrival they dragged me away, but the antagonist had no intention to negotiate and injected every single security officer in the room with paralysis pens. At this moment I had the chance to run away and escape (as I was later told), but that couldn't do much because I didn't have my ID, could only escape to the small hallway under the conference room, so I did what seemed logical: Picked up a disruptor of a fallen officer and shot the antagonist with stuns. I was warned again (and again no warning issued just chatting with an admin), but I believe this time I was right, this was self-preservation, I was locked inside a room with a maniac who kidnapped me and took down a group of security officers. The third and final time when the ban actually happened: Early in the round I was approached by the antagonists who wished to recruit me into their ranks, I politely declined and decided to not rat on them just yet. Soon they started to sabotage the ship and I went to the captain to privately discuss the likely identity of the antagonists, but the moment I wanted to step into the captain's office a portal opened on the bridge and the saboteurs arrived, armed. The captain, XO and myself were taken hostage (we just laid on the ground, weren't tied or unarmed). The intruders began interrogating us how they could fire the Leviathan (their plot was firing it at Adhomai due the canon events of the Cold Dawn arc), they took the Leviathan key and began figuring it out. Shortly security teleported into the bridge, negotiations were short, but during that time I began circling around the antagonists to disable the Leviathan completely. Antagonists and security began throwing Buggers at each other, still talking, but security lost their patience and an officer opened fire. I was stuck between an officer and an antagonist when firefight began so I hopelessly began what the ban reason above says: fighting armored antagonists from point blank. The captain ordered me, screamed at me to disable the Leviathan so that was my objective, besides somehow surviving of course. By the time I got to the Leviathan's controls the antagonists were downed, so I went to the intercom and called for medical help for the intruders. I somehow (and I have no idea how) survived without a single scratch on my character. There are no actual warnings on first two incidents, but I felt like not leaving them out, probably you have them somewhere on admin notes anyways. I believe in two of these three incidents I was in the right and attempted to survive while performing my character's duties. I do admit the first time I was warned I was in the wrong and shouldn't have help security, that mostly happened because of my poor mood, which is no excuse. Between these incidents months passed so it's not like I was fighting antagonists every day for three days straight. Thank you for your time and I'll wait for your response.
  3. Reporting Personnel: Angelica Nuon Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Bridge Crew Game ID: ckQ-cpo6 Personnel Involved: Felix Diniz (Offender), Angelica Nuon (Victim), Wolf Arges (Witness), Kadeem Rakrubijstri (Witness), Takeshi Sato (Witness), Rize Noack (Witness), Nassa Ahk'razi (Witness), Erina Shen (Witness). Secondary Witnesses: Time of Incident: 11/11/2464, late afternoon. Real Time: 11/11/2022. Approximately the last 45 minutes of the round. Location of Incident: SCCV Horizon bridge and brig. Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [X] - Neglect of Duty [ ] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [X] - Misconduct [ ] - Other _____ Overview of the Incident: After a security incident where security had to be on high alert Captain Diniz ordered the test firing of The Leviathan. I advised the Captain to not perform this test after these very recent incidents and after seeing that other vessels were very close to our own. (I'd like to note these vessels were not warned about the weapons testing and they were less than one gigametres away from our ship.) When this happened the crew was not warned about this event in a proper manner, causing great distress among them. I wished to avoid any political incidents and save the crew from the unnecessary stress. Captain Diniz elected to ignore my advice, activated the weapons system and when I attempted to explain the situation to the crew, so they wouldn't panic I was a bit raw and may have said a few words I shouldn't have, deeming the test firing a foolish decision at that time. The Captain immediately came to the bridge (within a minute) and suspended me. Two security officers (Rize Noack and Nassa Ahk'razi) arrived at the bridge a minute later and started to escort me down to the brig, I of course didn't resist the arrest and complied. When we arrived at the brig the officers left, leaving the Captain and me alone. Captain Diniz personally processed my case, putting charges on me and wished to submit me to jail time for slandering him and his ideas, he stated that I was too "annoying" to be around. When he finished with the charges he left me in the brig, outside any cell and took my ID with himself, stating that security can handle me from there, but the brig was empty and he was clearly aware of that. I waited long minutes till an officer arrived, completely alone within a high-security area, detained, yet not cuffed or placed within a cell. Just when the officer (Wolf Arges) arrived The Leviathan fired at an exoplanet, once again with almost no warning to the crew (just a few words over Common radio) and no warning to the other vessels around us at all. Soon the Head of Security Takeshi Sato arrived, ordered the officers to fine and release me, which was deemed not possible because the Captain took my ID with himself. Commander Sato then decided to release me and I was left suspended and without identification for the rest of the shift. I am currently unsure if the firing of the weaponry led to any political incidents. Submitted Evidence: Video (CCTV) and audio (radio) records stored on the servers of the vessel. Incident report in my files. See the witnesses. Would you like to be personally interviewed? [ ] - Yes [X] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? No. Kadeem Rakrubijstri (Operations Manager), Takeshi Sato (Head of Security) and Hailey Wise (Chief Medical Officer) were all able to follow the conversations over radio, and later I met with the Head of Security as stated above. Actions taken: None, I was detained, I was unable to do anything without going against the regulations. Additional Notes: Operations Manager Kadeem Rakrubijstri stated that they wish to submit files about the same day, same shift.
