Cargo Technician (4/37)

  1. Feels like this one should have already been added since there's no protective gear in the uplink that protects your eyes from welding, as far as I'm aware the only way to safely deal with welding as an antag is to: - Steal a welding mask - Use the Begone-Side-effects injectors since they contain chems that heal your eyes not really a gamebreaker but I felt like this would make sense if it was added.
  2. My bad I should have clarified it more but by concealable I generally mean something that can get past a search without much trouble, essentially a plasteel butterfly knife but instead of going into workboots It's going into PDAs.
  3. It depends on how it's going to be balanced stat-wise but In my opinion I don't think we have many hidden melee options other than the cane (excluding martial arts) so it'd be useful to have something concealable that can be used as a backup if needed in the uplink.
  4. I used it more as an example to explain it better, you can adjust it as you see fit. I don't see this as a very good dismissal since I can do the same with say a gun, although I'd need to move my mouse over to his sprite he'd still be left with barely any time to react as I would be getting several shots in since it's a ranged weapon and it funnily enough would work better since some species are faster than others which makes a firearm more consistent for ambushes despite having to pull it out from your pockets. also we have the sleepy pen, changeling death sting, derringer (which I think can be hidden in boots and pulled out with a macro aswell) all three options that can sometimes barely leave you with any time to react, if this isn't allowed then why are these allowed?
  5. Cool idea that popped in my head, about a pen that can basically turn into an energy dagger like in TGstation, I do feel like we lack hidden melee options other than the concealed cane (can be very easily identified if you don't usually carry a cane anyways OOCly) so this would be a welcome addition.
  6. BYOND Key: Baldos Staff BYOND Key: Noble Row Game ID: cvy-cIyZ (round before) Reason for complaint: PMed for roleplaying as a drug-addicted guy (mortaphenyl) Evidence/logs/etc: None Additional remarks: First off, My character's addiction goes back to the beginning of the round where a hangar technician offered me a pill-bottle which I swallowed 2 of, causing my character to get high off of it then wanting more, At first it was mild before it devolved more and more to the point of injury to get more of it before I was then Interrupted by Noble Row who demanded me to stop this since it was "Not realistic since I only took it today" and "This isn't realistic behaviour for a guy who wants to keep being employed" and then urging me to stop before closing the PM, Completely ignoring the fact that my character took a higher dosage than usual and got addicted much easier since he liked the feeling of it, Although I was not warned or anything I do feel like I was wronged as after this complaint I went straight to cryo since I felt like it didn't make sense to just retcon all of that and act like nothing has happened.
  7. When I play antagonist, whether it'd be mercs or traitor I've always ran into the Issue of Heavy Armor not matching my outfit at all therefore to solve this I would just not wear armor at all sometimes, which would result in me dying extremely quickly, so a kit like this would be very nice. It should have cons though, such as: - Only a Plate Carrier and Helmet, no arm-guards or leg-guards - Armor Values slightly worse than Heavy Armor (similar to security officer plate carriers and combat voidsuits)
  8. a concealable sawed off double barrel shotgun that costs 4 TC would be pretty nice
  9. Yes I do agree that was a bit scummy, but there was still not much they could have done to save themselves, even if I didn't aim for the leg they would have been still goners, so aiming at the leg couldn't have changed the outcome anyways. This was my first time playing as a Unathi In general so I had no Idea how fast it could get with adrenaline, I was using my usual ling tactics on another race that I had no idea how it worked so you could say it was unintentional "powergaming" and I probably did not realize it during the heat of the pursuit. Not sure how using adrenaline sacs the way it was intended to be used (increase in mobility to escape or fight) is abusing mechanics, if you find that it's a bit too "powerful" for your taste, you should complain to a developer but not to a player, afterall it is the developer's job because I won't care about how overpowered an ability is mid-chase. I wanted to roleplay as an unknown cosmic horror invader with the sole purpose of survival, I simply just wanted to fly out because I thought that would generate more reactions about how the crew just let an unknown cosmic horror escape and not be "woohoo we won!" and be back to normal again so not sure where you got the "security had been destroyed" thing from, and from my perspective, I roleplayed and escalated most of the round pretty well, and only went loud when the remaining security officers started plotting against me and disobeying my orders. It saddens me to hear that not everyone enjoyed the round and I am sorry if you did not enjoy the round, but I tried my best at escalating and doing roleplay, so even if I messed up I did not really mean it.
  10. I only shot security staff and the captain, not sure where you got the bystanders from unless you mean that first responder with the laser carbine, and yes I could have backed off but I didn't wanna let the other traitor get arrested as that would also get me arrested because of me assaulting the medical intern, I was basically a fugitive on the run and he just basically had a higher priority for security, yes I do agree there was very little buildup but that could be also attributed to the fact that medbay turned into a warzone very quickly, and yes firing on security staff was bad, but there was no way I could talk while they were all fighting. I honestly think In my opinion knowing someone is a fellow guy who is working against the SCCV horizon is an ally no matter if our objectives are different, afterall the enemy of my enemy is my friend and I knew that ICCly which justifies what I have done, but we will see what garn will say about this.
  11. 1. It wasn't just me knowing they are a traitor in the OOC sense but also ICCly too as we both communicated through encrypted comms about our objectives he was quite literally letting me know of his progress in the encrypted comms this wasn't just a random dude I knew OOCly that he was a traitor, he was a known traitor ICCly too to me 2. I never ran into medical and began shooting up surgeons, the only medical I fired upon was a first responder that had a laser carbine which I guess they picked up from the captain when he was dying and I wasn't doin this for no reason It was to try and rescue the traitor cuffed to the rollerbed and I later came back to medical to talk only to get hit in the face with a wrench and then shot at with a laser carbine then I got winded Yes I agree I immeditately shot them up, but as I said there was no time for talking when I arrived, if there was a standoff between the two I definitely would have came and joined his side and told them my intentions but there was just no time to talk when disruptor shots are flying everywhere and by your logic, if I talk to a fellow traitor but he got arrested and I break him out does that also break the rules since the ship didn't know we both are allies? Yes we both had different objectives so we didn't really work together but we both knew ICCly that we were allies, so he wasn't just a random dude ICCly to me but an ally that is on the same team as me, just a different objective, and yes there was no escalation of conflict, but all of this happened in an instant, by the time I arrived medbay was a fighting ring and as I said, if there was some sort of standoff I definitely would have joined his side and told security my intentions, encrypted comms was sort of a token of working together as we chit chatted on there for a bit while he told me his progress on his objective
  12. We sort of teamed up, at the beginning OOCly I and him agreed to be psionic traitors, we then got encrypted radio comms and met up at operations we didn't stay there for long but his intentions were to rob the vault and he didn't need my help so basically this guy was known to me as an ally ICCly then I went to go and threaten a medical intern for talking crap about me in medical comms.
  13. BYOND Key: Baldos Staff BYOND Key: Sadkermit Game ID: cpe-dfOv (this game id is the round after the incident) Reason for complaint: Antag banned for trying to help out a fellow traitor during a fight with security. Evidence/logs/etc: don't have the chat logs but I do have the antag ban note Additional remarks: The arrest scene was a fight when I came in, the traitor was fighting a security officer IPC, I stepped in and shot them up but got hit with a disruptor bolt and a few hits from a stun baton causing me to flee, then I came back and found the traitor cuffed to a rollerbed with the captain and a security cadet standing near the traitor then I opened fire on them since I assumed they already know I'm helping out the traitor after the first fight Yes we didn't have that much interaction since we met up in operations, but we both knew we were both traitors and on the same team ICCly, we even had encrypted comms to keep up with the progress of eachother's objectives where he robbed the vault so I don't see why I shouldn't help them during a fight? and before you say you silently opened fire on them, there was no time to talk the fight was already going on and there was no time to say anything
  14. Alright then, sorry for the troubles, will try to RP my kills a bit more
  15. He is correct yes, but why a warning for this? I do agree with kermit about that round where I shot people up with k'ois, but I don't see how I was wrong when I went loud as a changeling during transfer, I tried to do some interesting roleplay before the transfer ended so I don't get how that broke any rules because I didn't kill anyone and only attacked when security tried to arrest me after a bit of talking, I just stinged security and doctors with blind sting to try and make the round end more interesting while talking with them.
