  1. If they're far away. That takes the L out of LOOC. And plus, crew can see LOOC, so if you have a question that you don't want the random sec officer to see, for your antag buddy who's across the station, LOOC isn't gonna cut it.
  2. All the high RP servers offer something unique. Apollo's got the most welcoming community I've seen, and the new update is neat as fuck. Polaris does a great job of attracting snowflakes away from the other servers, like a bug zapper. Aurora has the population, and variety. Then there's Baystation. Baystation has awesome antagonists. Seriously. Every antag round is unique. There was a mercenary round where three of the antags were escaped slaves, fleeing from slavers. The other three were the slavers, posing as NT approved bounty hunters with forged paper. It was different from the typical 'silence for an hour, suddenly cargo, the engine, and the armory simultaneously explode.' I loved it. And they're almost all like that. I tried to have an interesting round like that here, but we weren't coordinated and we couldn't plan while we were separated, thus we got fucked by security. It may be as simple as the playerbase, but there's one thing Baystation has that the other servers do not. Antags, able to use AOOC. In the case with the mercenaries, they could plot out their backstory, while they're far apart, et cetera. I brought it up in OOC, and someone pointed out that it'd be too tempting for antags to metagame. I didn't say, but it seemed like a non-issue. If antags metagame, it'd be easy as shutting off AOOC, or muting the offender. I don't see any harm in granting the antags the ability to say things along the likes of "aooc friendly remind to not fucking murderbone" or "aooc who hired us to kidnap this guy again?." It makes things easier. After all, the ENTIRE POINT of the antagonist system is to make rounds interesting for the crew. Why not give antagonists an additional tool to entertain?
