Rosetango
Reporting Personnel: Willow Harper Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Cargo Technician Game ID: bZc-cMvg Personnel Involved: - Willow Harper, Cargo Technician (Witness, Reporting Personnel) - Kazmir Illick, Maintenance Technician (Victim, Witness) - Benji Marsh, Chief Medical Officer (Offender) - Nazret Naxxir, Cargo Technician (Witness) Time of Incident: Real Time: 3:00~ pm CST/8:00~ pm GMT 03/10/19 Location of Incident: NSS Aurora, Red Dock Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [X] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [X] - Neglect of Duty [X] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [X] - Misconduct [ ] - Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: Due to unknown causes, Kazmir Illick had appeared to have a ruptured lung and was suffocating, choking on his own blood and unable to speak. Security was doing a search at the time. The HoS announced that they needed medical to red dock, because Kazmir was suffocating. The CMO does not respond, so I decided that I would administer first aid. I made it through without incident. I grabbed an oxygen deprivation kit and found Kazmir, who was being pulled along by the HoS of that shift. I took over and began to administer medical aid the best I could. The departures shuttle arrived so I rushed on board with Kazmir in tow. Unable to get into the medical bay of the shuttle, I break the glass window and make my way inside to get more dexalin as my kit was empty at this point, so I put him into the sleeper. Sometime between my entry into the shuttle and breaking into the medical bay of the shuttle, the CMO had finally arrived. I continued administering first aid because my back was turned and I did not see him until he had entered the medical bay, at which time I let him take over. I am upset and begin scolding him, saying that he needed to arrive faster, and he threatened me with an IR for "being so obnoxious". I said that he would be on the other side of the stick for ignoring our calls for help. He makes a remark about my employment & potentially my medical records, which are not public, in the presence of most if not all of the crew on the shuttle, stating: "Once there is more than one doctor to handle all medical calls, will humor your state of being unfit for duty." I asked him what was he treating that was more important than a man with a ruptured lung suffocating, he replied exposing the medical records of his patient, stating that they had untreated degenerative brain damage from another CMO. I asked him if that patient was going to die without treatment. He did not answer me, instead making what I can only assume was a jab at my intelligence by stating: "Your opinion, naturally as a lower rung crate pusher, is less than engaging." I'm pretty sure he was implying I was uneducated and stupid. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: No, because it was the end of the shift and I was preoccupied with giving the man medical aid. Actions taken: I, alongside other people, repeatedly requested medical to red dock/departures to no avail. Additional Notes: N/A Link to comment
