Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question

Why do you wish to play this specific race: I wish to play this race for multiple reasons which I shall specify in this question and throughout the whole application. I'd love to immerse myself in SS13 with a Unathi character, I've observed how they act, talk, etc. And I wish to give it a shot because it is truly an interesting race. Not only do they spark an interest in me they are the only race I'd play besides IPC, which is why I'm applying for it, duh. So basically, if I didn't wish to play this specific race I wouldn't be making an application for it. I've seen how an old Unathi acted who was an HoS (I forgot his name, maybe some of you will know who I am talking about). Possibly one of my favorite HoS', seeing a lot of these players roleplay as Unathi has motivated me to make an application for the race.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: What makes roleplaying this species different than roleplaying a Human, is their speech, looks, and the way they act. They have a different culture than the Human race itself, also different speech patterns and bone structure. Their speech is a big impact along with the way they act. It's a lot different than that of the Human's. They care about their honor, willing to do what it takes to keep it is in their nature. Sure Humans can be so too but it's different when Unathi were raised in a homeworld where they are highly honor bonded with their species, like said in the lore page.

Why does this species in particular hold your interest? The race holds my interest because for some reason they remind me of Skyrim's Lizard race which is quite nostalgic for all the good times I had in Skyrim. Another reason is because of how they act, being a species about honor and holding it. From what I've seen they tend to be quite aggressive when their honor is being challenged by another person. It's just how they are which really holds my interest. The way they act

Character Name: Odanu Adanutha

Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs

2426, Moghean.

Odanu Adanutha was born in the year, 2426. He was born in a highly populated settlement suffering still of the nuclear disaster which happened a century ago. Wealth, shelter, and food are all problematic in this settlement which attempts to keep themselves afloat in the rough planet. Born into a rough environment, Odanu was immediately put through a rough childhood. Often was he involving himself in attempting to get food everyday or attempting to impress his clan. At the age of 13, he was caught and charged with petty theft. He attempted to steal food from a nearby shop to his home to feed not only himself but his family who were crammed in a medium sized home, constructed of sandstone that has been worn down by the sandstorms and other environmental damage that it's been put through. Soon after 13 year old Odanu was released he was ashamed, ashamed to what his clan would think of him after committing such an act that not only affects him but the representation of his clan. Though the charge was not his ultimate worry, the punishments from his clan were. Submitted to a lashing even though he is at a young age his clan believed in strict ways, he would never do such an act ever again. By the age of 15 he was employed into trading stand in the middle of the settlement, trading small wares found outside of the settlement by "explorers". There he spent his time observing the small security cell assigned to the settlement that watched over the trading stalls and shops. He began to think of a way to regain his clan's honor for him, though not of age as of yet he observed the local Security team in his settlement. He had heard shuttles which came to Moghean to fly out to Tau Ceti and other homesystems. Many of these shuttles delivered citizens to Space Stations which job employments for NanoTrasen could be filled out and training could begin.

 

5 years later.

2436, NT Training Facility, 12. Homesystem Tau Ceti.

5 years later, Odanu finds himself in a Training Facility for NanoTrasen where he now a cadet for NanoTrasen's Security. Within this time in his life he would go through a year program specializing in Security training. Odanu had joined up to recover what he lost in honor and to make better with his life. To evolve from what he had gone through in his homeworld, not only did he join NanoTrasen for that fact, he joined to help the research which would cause greater life for many of the races inhabiting the tons of homeworlds around. 11 months and 3 weeks in he is promoted to Security Officer earlier than the full 12 months for noteworthy competence and distinction. A week after he is assigned to the NSS Arbital; Research Station 246, where he spent 5 years of doing Security work. During a transfer 5 years later he had his chance to fly to his homeworld and visit his clan where they had given him his goal. His goal to regain the honor he lost years ago, only being able to stay a week before having to fly to his newly transfer, the NSS Aurora. Everything aside he enjoyed the fact that he had honor once more, something he craved for years from his clan. Now he has it, now he can work knowing he has that honor; he is full once more.

Present Year.

2456. NSS Aurora.

Epilogue.

Odanu Adanutha, current employment NSS Aurora. He has been working there for a full year. Current age, 26. It took many years for him to achieve his goal, now he works within the Station shift by shift ensuring crew members follow Corporate Regulation. This has been his story, now we've reached present year. It is time his story continues to create. I thank you for reading my character, Odanu Adanutha's backstory and how he grew to live to become a Security Officer within the NSS Aurora.

What do you like about this character? What I like about this character Odanu, is that he's gone through a lot to achieve what he wanted. Experienced a lot to get what where he wanted. For me he's a unique character that I've never roleplayed before which is what I like, something new. I can say a lot about him, from personality, to how loyal he is. He was raised in a respectful environment where loyalty was an important thing, also his personality being that he is very caring about his-- and I don't mean to be cliche-- but his honor.

How would you rate your role-playing ability? No matter how ridiculous this question is-- no offense. I'll try not to be biased and rate myself at a 8/10.

Unathi are the best. We need more Unathi. Security needs a bit more honor in their dealing of situations, and I feel that an Unathi personality would best achieve this.

Prospect, while I have not had much interaction with them, I have not had any bad instances with them at all. Surely they are capable enough to pass the buffer that is the whitelist.
