BruhMan69
BYOND Key: Bruhman69 Character Names: Julius Carme tends to be the one I play, he is a lab assistant that tends to be making at least 1 laser gun per game, then security says they don't want anymore and he gets sad. Species you are applying to play: IPC What color do you plan on making your first alien character: IPC's are exempt Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes One paragraph minimum per question. Why do you wish to play this specific race: I find them interesting, and the ones i have encountered while playing all also seem cool. I also enjoy the variety of how they can look, such as the baseline tv-heads and even the shells. It is also interesting that they are almost always viewed as lower class citizens, as well as in some cases being considered vandalism if you hurt one. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Well first off, they are robots which is cool. Secondly They tend to be specialized to their own job, i guess humans are too in most cases, but still. They have a pretty cool history and I like multiple things about it. Character Name: Red Please provide a short backstory for this character (Approximately two paragraphs)It was created 18 years ago, but has been in storage for 15 years, and has only recently gotten Its Baseline chassis, and has been created to cook, and grow plants, but does also know how to xenobotany as well. It's chassis was produced in scraptown a few years back, and it has lived in scraptown, trying to get plants to grow more effectively in the environment of scraptown. Recently they were admitted to the Aurora where they would work as a chef, xenobotanist, and normal botanist. They have also gained a small amount of training in cqc for protection being as It lived in the ghetto. It enjoys learning about other cultures as well as Plants. It Prefers to stay away from conflict and prefers to resolve most things peacefully, but if needed it will try and protect itself using its mediocre cqc. It will be assigned to either chef/botanist, or xenobotany. What do you like about this character? They would have a speech pattern like this, "Curious, What is that" so they would state their emotion then the following thing. Also i like that they would either be a chef, botanist or xenobotanist. Notes: i used to play a reasonable amount of bay but got banned for as an antag mistakenly blowing up the engine through multiple z levels. it was sad. Link to comment
niennab
Can you expand on the backstory as well as this question? 22 minutes ago, BruhMan69 said: Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: In regards to the backstory, there is a lot of details left unsaid. Why was the positronic stored for 15 years? Where was the positronic from? How did it get to the scraptown? Who 'gave' it it's baseline chassis and where did they get it from? Where is the scraptown located? Who owns the IPC? Why does it know cooking and xenobotany? How does it know xenobotany? How did they acquire training in combat? How did they get to the Aurora? So on and so forth. Link to comment
BruhMan69
okie dokie ill get on that as a start scraptown is in District 14 of Mendell City, in a place called the scrapheap. He was stored because they were mass produced. He was created in mendell city. He just kinda found his way to scraptown after he was in his chassis His baseline chassis was given to him by the Sol alliance, he would later go onto the aurora to pay it off (unsure if this would work if not let me know) Before he would go to pay his debt to the sol alliance on the aurora they had him do some basic combat training for the purpose of (to be determined) the way the get to the aurora is a mystery to me, is it a shuttle i guess? im not really sure. niennab
Thank you for the additions/clarifications. The application is still quite barebones and does not touch on a lot of the aspects crucial to IPC roleplay. Such as the IPC's ownership status, the question of how they differ from humans, as well as the discrepancy between being made in Mendell City in Biesel, yet his chassis was given to him by the Sol Alliance. As such, I will be denying the application for now, as I don't feel it offers a concrete understanding of IPCs. However, I recommend reaching out and roleplaying with IPCs in game. Interacting with them can be a great way of organically picking up synthetic lore as well as the galaxy's lore. You're welcome to reapply in a week minimum. Link to comment
