Krab Meister's Buzzbeepbop

BYOND Key: Krab Meister

Character Names: Evangeline Watari (Now Evangeline Andersen), Elena Leporis, Tania Moldovan, Phantom-D2 (pAI), Keepers Of Binary Thoughts, WYVERN.

Species you are applying to play: Synthetic/IPC

What color do you plan on making your first alien character: (Color of your character; Dionaea & IPCs exempt)

Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes, and I'm reading it again.

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question.

Why do you wish to play this specific race: I would like to experience a new way of playing SS13. Dionaea are a very nice, and slow change of pace regarding the way I usually play SS13, though I would like something else than humans while keeping the same speed when it comes to movement and interactions.

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:

IPCs are much more different from playing as humans, even if they can at least mimick them during certain interactions (such as using slang and accents from their owner's setup). They are very predictable, making choices related to what could happen next after said choice, while also constantly being respectful to the humans around them.

Character Name: Harpo

Please provide a short backstory for this character (Approximately two paragraphs)
Harpo (of its full name Harpocrates) is a Zeng-Hu owned IPC first created to assist deaf people in their daily lives, the lack of speech necessary for his interactions being unnecessary lead to a downgrade of his voicebox. Reducing it to speak EAL, and sign language which is always assisted with a word or two displayed on the "TV Head". For those who aren't deaf, Harpo communicates usings tones and melodies, and obviously still relying on his screen to help the others around him to understand himself. Otherwise (and if available), Harpo will use a handheld translator in order to translate his EAL speech.
Recently assigned to the NSS Aurora as a bartender working for NanoTrasen, his number one priority is to make sure people who are deaf on the station are to remain safe and healthy, therefore explaining his appearance as a Visitor or Assistant.

What do you like about this character? While Harpo will not speak (at least, not until I get comfortable with the character and start an ark to get a voice box), he will display one or two words on his "TV head" while using sign-language. Not only will he beep, buzz and ping, but he will also play short melodies and nice tunes (through me text).

How would you rate your role-playing ability? Probably a 7 out of 10. I sometimes roleplay too much and end up in embarassing situations especially when antagging.

Notes: Regarding who owns Harpo, I was thinking of coming up with a smaller company who would be owned by Zeng-Hu, named Harp Pharmaceuticals.

Thank you for applying. Can you expand upon the story as well as the question:

Consider telling a story with your application. Is Harpo owned by Zenghu still? Why are they on the Aurora?

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: To be prefectly honest, I don't know what else to add other than coming up with the gameplay differences such as the air-cooling instead of internals, the fact that some synths don't feel pain and so on.

Consider telling a story with your application. Is Harpo owned by Zenghu still? Why are they on the Aurora? Harpocrates is indeed still owned by Zeng-Hu and has been sent to the Aurora in order to help deaf and/or mute crewmates, He is also acting as a "scout" for Harp Pharmaceuticals who are looking to grow bigger and sell their products to more people (That last point being relevent if I am allowed to create this company.) Being tired of always doing the same things with the same people at the same placed, Harpo wanted to change horizons and.. still do the same thing, but with other people and in a different place.

Due to the barebones nature of the application, I will deny your application for now as I don't believe it offers a concrete understanding of IPCs and the ability to apply said concepts to their character creation. However you are welcomes to reapply in three days.

Some questions that come to mind are if Harpo was a unit meant to assist mute and deaf patients, why is he a bartender on the Aurora? What prompted the change from care giver to bartender? You mention he wants to change horizons however he is owned. Did his employers grant him this? Why? What prompted him to make the change to pursue different avenues? Why? So on and so forth.

Keep in mind that IPCs are more than their mechanics. In answering the 'how do they differ from humans' question, try to consider what conceptually makes them different than humans.

Also, I assume a mistake but there's this odd bit:
