Why do you wish to play this specific race:

Skrell can live a very long time with some medicine in the jargon federation increasing there lifespan, this makes them a very experienced race with a single skrell learning many things another species could not, this makes them very appealing as they can roleplay with a more elderly vibe perhaps using there superior experience to help the rest of the orion spur.
 

Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:

They can live extremely longer than multiple human lives making them a extremely resilient race with more interesting roleplay elements and experience than a single human life could. 

 

Character Name: Voolyn Zoora

Please provide a short backstory for this character

 

70 years old Voolyn Zoora is a yellow Xiialt, singing for entertainment across the jargon federation currently working under the Work initiative program for Qel’Zvol Hospitality under the Nanotrasen corporation identifying as a Female she has gained the stage name “Water Owl” for her unique original pieces performed across Nanotrasen entertainment spaces.

Backround:
She was born in the year 2394 on Qerr’Malic in Toqleq'wesi to a small group of parents, shortly after birth one became their caretaker, their name being Xrin Zorn. Xrin was a cafe owner with an attitude to be harsh but warm, most of her lessons being situations in how to act properly teaching Voolyn how to behave properly around her colleagues and take aboard everything they tried to teach her.
Through her education most of it focused on everyday subjects and it slowly led to a career in service, after this she worked in her caretakers cafe. One day at the age of 52 they both went to a show which showcased the local suburbs talents, Voolyn showed a natural talent lowly humming to the tunes that came across the stage that night. After this Zorn nudged her way towards a career into entertainment and Voolyn continued with this way passionately leading to becoming a small star in a sea of many service personnel on that moon.

Voolyn spent quite a long time on the moon working in the cafe during the day and local clubs at the night after awhile she became very good at what she did and was offered a job in the Qel’Zvol Hospitality, this took her away from Qerr’Malic and moved her across various places in the jargon federation until one day, in the year 2460, Zoora was approached by a representative of Qel’Zvol, they told them about a opportunity to leave the federation on a work initiative problem they had.
She had to talk to her caretaker, Zorn as she hadn’t talked to her in a long while, When she saw her after a long time away she smiled, the opportunity to go outside the federation was a scary one but it was a good way for her to show the wide space what her voice could do. Voolyn accepted the program and was accepted and sent outside the federation, her handlers negotiated a contract with nanotrasen as a bartender and was allowed for brief shows outside her hours.

It is now the current year and nanotrasen has negotiated on her behalf a place on the SCCV Horizon on the verge on moving to her new workplace Voolyn Zoora thought, I did it Im taking my voice across the stars… 

 

What do you like about this character?

 

Skrell can be around for a long time and have way more experience than any other species could have i think my character could use her years of knowledge to help people and let them talk about their problems and try help them out on everyday life on the horizon.

1. What is your characters SCS? How has it affected them?

Zooras Social credit score is a 6.00 as this places her in classification closest to being able to work in a work exchange program and being high enough to be a proper role model for other skrell as she is a public facing figure most of the time. She knows that having this credit score is beneficial in the long term with her career taking place in beyond the federation Voolyn is still in good standing with federation letting her to work abroad.

2. Has your character interacted with Gasriders in any capacity while on Qerr’Malic?

Yes, but more indirectly and by chance having something to do with gasrider through a series of friends. Zoora had a extended encounter with a group of them when her friend that disappeared for a couple months and was telling her about what she had gone to do, to her surprise it was this such activity. At this point her friend invited her back to her workplace, where the collection and the such gas was refined for export across the moon.
Zoora spent one month with her friend, performing small acts for the crew that worked there including her friend she also tended to drinks that anyone might want gaining small loyalty across the base, she returned to her current workplace due to suspicion that might be placed on her. The friend still gasrides but contact had ceased 2 months after Zooras stay.

3. Why would Zoora sign with NT over Idris? Wouldn’t the exchange program with Idris be more beneficial for them?

It is well known that Idris has holdings of entertainment across the spur but Nanotrasen has a regional office in Qerr’Malic, Zoora had seen this place numerous times and always wanted to know how they worked and had heard many great things about the successful corporation she believed it would lead a stable career and take her across many different parts of the orion spur. 

4. What would Zoora’s job be on the Horizon?
