streex Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 BYOND Key: Streex Total Ban Length: 4320 Minutes Banning staff member's Key: Melariara Reason of Ban: Took the intrepid and AFK'd for 45 minutes whilst it flew through space at 30 g's Reason for Appeal: I apologise for being AFK in the Intrepid I did not intend to do that. It was almost 3am and I had been for the past 40 minutes been attempting to make contact with the Horizon to inform them that I accidentally used up all the fuel on the ship by setting autopilot limiter to 40gs. I went through like twenty rounds through the sector but could not reach the ships range to ask for help. I then got hit by a power outage on the ship and accidentally fell asleep soon after with the laptop next to me. I apologise I normally would never AFK in the round like that

I was not intending to fall asleep, but after 40 minutes of not being able to Hail the Horizon and it being 1:57 round time or there abouts I just put my laptop to one side and started watching TV to either wait for round end or for someone to finally realise I was in trouble. Ended up resting my eyes and waking up four hours later. My initial plan was to just wait to hear the holocomm beep to signal me to get back to the computer. Edited July 20, 2022 by streex

Just remember, if you ahelp and an admin is afk, it'll get forwarded to the mod discord and someone may be able to join and assist. I will lift this ban, and replace it with a note. Does this sound acceptable to you?
