Tomixcomics
((OOC Note: At the time that this happened I didn't realize it would end up requiring an IR, as i thought it was all sorted, so i'm filling this a few days after the fact, and as such, I'm missing a few details like names, precise times, evidence screenshots and round IDs. My apologies. Please treat this as OOC limitations rather than IC lack of specificity)) Reporting Personnel: Mako Wu Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Chief Medical Officer Game ID: (I'm not sure but it was the round right after Steel on the horizon pt. 2) Personnel Involved: Emmanuel Sanders (surgery intern, offender) Mako Wu (Chief Medical officer) (Witness), The on-call bartender and anyone else who was at the bar the time (specific names unsure, witnesses), The on call surgeon at the time (name unsure, witness) Secondary Witnesses: Adelina Valdemar (Off-duty doctor) (Witness) (Would have heard the comms announcenement about the alleged misbehavior as well as potentially seen him rushed in to the medbay), Jacquelyn Roberts (Off-duty doctor) (Would have heard the comms announcenement about the alleged misbehavior as well as potentially seen him rushed in to the medbay) Time of Incident: Real Time: (around 6:20AM GMT 3/24/23) Location of Incident: Bar, Medical bay Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [X ] - Neglect of Duty [ ] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [X] - Misconduct [ ] - Other _____ Overview of the Incident: After performing in a deeply unsatisfactory manner during the recent pirate attack on the Horizon (during which he apparently worked as a surgeon despite not being assigned as one for that shift, which I only found out later), the other on call doctor and myself attempted to speak to Emmanuel Sanders about the way he performed, attempting to teach him how to have better handled situations such as those he faced. Sanders became argumentative, treating our attempts of using those incidents for examples as personal attacks meant to make him feel bad even after he was repeatedly explained why they were not that, and the reason that we were bringing them up. After a prolonged argument it was agreed by all parties that perhaps it would be more productive to let Sanders calm down as he was still upset by recent events. Sanders asked if I am ending his shift early, to which I replied that no, he should finish out the rest of his shift regularly and when it's done - take a few days off to decompress, he acknowledged understanding us. He then left Medbay, and after a while of not being sure where he went - it was announced over comms by someone in the bar that he is drinking in extremely large quantities and requires medical attention. He had drunk so much alcohol at once that he required immediate and drastic medical attention to save his life. Beyond the issues given with drinking on the job while working in medical, this further complicated things because I was the sole surgeon on call at the moment and could not tend to other patients while assisting him. Submitted Evidence: Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [X] - Yes [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: No, I am Head of Staff for medical. Actions taken: Verbally reprimanded, warned of the possibility of losing his job for actions such as these. Additional Notes: Link to comment
