Tainavaa Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Is that a legal requirement in space? Or do people not care about that stuff anymore in the space future?
Guest Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Is that a legal requirement in space? Or do people not care about that stuff anymore in the space future? We have places today all over the place with communal washrooms. Even schools are getting no-gender washrooms.
Tainavaa Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 But I live in America, where everyone is special and we can all get everything we want and also if you look at me that's rape and possibly murder on a spiritual level. I can feel it already from you. Help, I need a lore dev!
SgtSammac Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 It's more an age old mapping thing than a lore thing. But we do have male /female bathroom door instances in the instances, so somewhere on the station/outposts, science I think has segregated facilities.
Tainavaa Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 I know. I ask not to bitch about it OOC, but so I can bitch about it IC.
Tainavaa Posted May 6, 2015 Author Posted May 6, 2015 Am I not going to get a straightforward answer?
SgtSammac Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 No? Because it's already been said, it's simply an age old mapping issue as opposed a lore issue. But if you REALLY want a lore answer, I would guess that no, it probably isn't a legal requirement, if you look at the world now unisex/free bathrooms are beginning to make a comeback because of LGBTIQ+ movements, so it probably depends on the architect/designer/manager/corporation/whatever. As for physically/OOC'ly why, my best bet is that they were filling space but didn't have enough space to make two bathrooms AND showers.
Tainavaa Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 My concern wasn't the OOC reason for not having it. I knew why. Thank you for the answer I was seeking, though.
