Overview of the Incident: Shaft Miner Piat went down to Konyang for a routine mining trip. Shortly after the Spark departed, he began to speak of an infected positronic. Despite at least one warning by myself to disengage and flee, not more than two minutes later did he report this synthetic to be dead, as he "had to fry the bastard," in addition refusing to attempt nonviolent means of dispatching or avoiding the individual (see transcript). This is a complete disregard for synthetic life; a more thorough investigation should take place given the sensitivity of what occurred, moreover given the use of such outwardly hostile and belittling terminology before and after the fact. If not, why?: None were on-staff, as weren't security. Actions taken: N/A Additional Notes: Our beliefs aside, Piat was the one to encourage me to write an incident report. In addition, I could not find an easily-accessible recorder, and as such took it upon myself to open the investigator's office to borrow theirs. I believed this infraction to be of enough scale to warrant it, and did not take pleasure in doing so. I have since returned the recorder to the investigator's office. Link to comment
